    Echo did an amazing job as our server. She was friendly, offered suggestions, and paced everything perfectly. Food came out exactly as we had ordered it. A definite gem in Columbus, OH!

    Our reservation was on Mothers Day at 7:00pm. The menu was pre selected…a soup or salad, entree and desert for $75. There were three of us. Once we ordered, two of the three meals we wanted were not available anymore, which was fine but was not initially communicated by our waittress when she went over the menu. Two of the three deserts offered were also not available anymore. My husband and son ordered the Ribeye, Oscar style. However, when their meals came they were both given the filet…again with no explanation. My son said the crab tasted like it was from a can. I ordered the salmon with buttered crab on top. When my meal came it was a dry piece of salmon with what also seemed like crab from a can on top, and the bacon saute was missing. The food was not good and such a disappointment. The best thing of the night was the side of sautéed mushrooms. I was so angry that we wasted $300. My husband and I both left saying we will not go back. Given our experience - it seems like the Mitchels at Polaris used Mother’s Day as a profit opportunity to serve less quality food…versus providing a great meal on the holiday.

    Had to send steak back. Not cooked right with no seasoning. Forgot some things on the order. Was not the high end we were used to. Out of some of desserts at 7:00 pm.

    Other than the fact that they were out off over 3 selections of their Mother’s Day Menu. It was hard to accept the fact you could not substitute, nothing was available. Will probably select someplace else for special occasions

    I made a 6:15 reservation for Mothers Day.My mom has trouble seeing to drive at night, so I felt that would've given us plenty of time to visit and have dinner . I have been in the restaurant business for over 25 years, so I know any holiday can have its hiccups. However, our table was not ready at 6:15 so we chose to eat outside which was the best part of our dinner. The Mothers Day menu was a 3 course meal for $75. You order soup or salad, main course, and dessert all at once. We also added appetizers, of which we only go two out of the three delivered, so she had to rering them. Our server came out and advised us that they were out of lobster, so my mom and dad had to choose another meal. Dinner came out cold, and then our server came out and advised us that they were out of cheesecake. Now, the whole table of 7 had to choose another dessert. At this point, it was 8:30, and remember my mom and her eyes, the reason I made a 6:15 reservation in the first place. so we asked for our check and dessert to go they threw the creme Brule into a box, the dessert we didn't really even want, and it looked like scrambled eggs. Overall, I was very disappointed , I don't mind spending the extra money on a wonderful experience, but over $700. That's ridiculous.

    We went to Mitchell’s Steakhouse for Mother’s Day and it was not a great experience. We arrived at 12:25 and left at 3:30pm. It was a marathon lunch of waiting and waiting for each course. I guess 3 people called off in the kitchen so it was mayhem even though it was a set menu. My guess the salads were premade so that should not have been an issue. I ordered a filet that was supposed to be medium. I got a strip on the very rare side. When I pointed out the mistake I was told to take the strip because out would be 20 minutes at least to get a filet. I asked if they could put the strip on and make it closer to medium. It came back burnt on the outside and still super rare on the inside. The baked potatoes were well overdone and mushy with way too much salt on the outside. The food was just not good. The service was great and the wine was good. Our waiter apologized many times for the problems in the kitchen.

    They were busy given that it was Mother's Day, but they also pared-down the menu to offer a prix fixe menu that day to try to best manage that. The service was not what I have come to expect from Mitchell's. Dirty dishes remained on the table for far too long...I had to ask them to be removed after each course. Drink glasses went unfilled for too long, even after asking for a refill. The food was very good. They just struggled service-wise in ways I'm not used to for this restaurant.
