Mita's, le second restaurant du célèbre chef Jose Salazar est nommé en l'honneur de sa grand-mère colombienne, sa « Mita ». Le magnifique restaurant de 130 places conçu par MSA Architects est situé au cœur du centre-ville de Cincinnati, à l'angle de 5th Street et Race Street, au niveau de la rue dans le 84.51 Building. Le restaurant allie une architecture moderne et simple avec des grandes fenêtres de 25 pieds, des tuiles maures colorées, des planchers de bois réutilisé et des étoffes aux teintes chaudes. Le menu éclectique et rustique de Mita met l'emphase sur des mets et des boissons modernes et traditionnels d'Espagne et d'Amérique latine, comme les tapas, le ceviche, les jambons fumés, les fromages et les grands plats. La carte des vins propose des vins espagnols et européens. We come occasionally. It used to be super awesome. This time was weird. They wouldn’t clean the table of empty plates or glasses. The server ignored my wife’s allergy and then would forget my drink order. Not the level it used to be.

Everything comes together at Mita's so nicely! The small plates, cocktail, and wine options all dazzle. The service isn't just very good - it's warm and friendly, too! Definitely a top three option in Cincinnati.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The food was delicious. Our server, Lindsey M, was friendly and helpful in navigating the menu and providing suggestions for dinner options. The cocktails were excellent and the wine Lindsey suggested paired perfectly with our food choices. This is the kind of place we would return to often if we lived in the Cincinnati area.

I have dined at Mita’s 5-6 times in the last 18 months and am always impressed. Having spent my career in kitchens I typically don’t eat anywhere more than once or twice. I can’t tell enough people about this place as it has become a favorite. The food is as close to perfection as one can achieve. The service is always prompt and attentive. Kudos to the whole FOH and BOH teams on operating a top notch restaurant. P.S. I love the kitchen tip line on the check!

Incredible from start to finish. Everything is simple yet elegant, perfectly balanced. Their margarita is perfect, the pork belly tacos were to die for, and the sliders were melt in your mouth decadence. We didn’t save room for dessert but otherwise had a perfect meal!

Our first visit did not disappoint. We loved the ambiance and the people watching on the street. So good to see a lively downtown scene. The food was all spot on and our server, Joel, did a great job of walking us through courses and making suggestions. At least 3 different servers filled my water glass--which I greatly appreciated. With a partial view of the kitchen, I could see Chef Salazar was constantly at a work station; he is most definitely hands on--to the point of doing his own wiping off the work service. Probably/maybe common practice, but I was impressed. As to our courses: We shared warm olives, bread, guacamole/tostones, and mixed salad. I had the beef and my husband, the scallops. Back to sharing for tres leches cake. It was the perfect amount of food for our appetites. We also each had two beverages. Can't wait for second visit and an opportunity to try more of the courses.

We have been to Mita's twice and both times were lucky enough to have the same server, Juan. He was great. Just let him order for you as he knows the menu and the wines and can tailor to your likes. Wonderful service. Delicious food that is so fun to share.

Couldn't pick a favorite, all were amazing! Tostones with guacamole were divine, as was the pulpo with the potato foam that was out of this world. Paella is worth the wait.

Our server was amazing! She went thru the menu with us and explained what we’re stapled and what were seasonal. She talked about plate combinations that she enjoyed. So very helpful! And the food was above and beyond expectations!

Previously went to Mita’s with a bigger group so we had a limited menu so this is our first time here with the full experience. Definitely recommend the shishito peppers and tostones. In terms of meats, the short rib empanadas were delicious and the dough was very flaky and buttery. We also got the pork belly tacos and they were very well caramelized. Recommend the tres leches cake for dessert, I could swim in that sauce.

Mita's never disappoints! We love tapas, and Mita's has some of the very best! Great cocktails and small plates. Our favorite is the Pulpo. Can't get enough of Mita's octopus!

SUBLIME. Get the tostones. Get the smoky goat cheese. You won't be disappointed by anything you order. Plan for 2-3 plates per person and give yourself plenty of time. We were there for about 2 hours for dinner. We had 6 plates (one was sorbet) for 2 people and were stuffed.
