Everything was just too salty. From the guacamole that had too much raw salt on top of it to the shrimp tacos that were so coated in seasoning you could not even taste the shrimp. Service was….ok. Someone needs to get salt bae out of the kitchen and maybe the food will be worth its price and hype.

Came here for a work dinner. My party of 4 was attending a conference downtown. I made a reservation two weeks ahead and all they had for us when we arrived was a high top in the bar area where you couldn’t even hear yourself talk. The hostess said she couldn’t help us and that’s all she had. Like take it or leave it. I explained that we really looking forward to conversation and could we sit at another table, perhaps outside, and she sort of shrugged and rolled her eyes. No effort to be accommodating in any way - it was like take it or leave it. I found this a little jarring given that we had reservation. I explained that we had come all the way from out of town and that we had hoped to have a table where we could have some conversation. Only after I persisted did she say, well if you wait I can maybe give you a table out side, so we went for a walk and came back, but we didn’t feel welcome generally. We eventually did get a table outside, which was fine tho also very loud from street noise. The food was tasty enough. Agua Fresca excellent. Won’t be coming back even if I’m in town again.

I’ve been here several times, last night for a bridal shower. The server was so accommodating and attentive to our large group. Drinks and food came out quickly and everything was 10/10.

I'll start by saying that Mister Oso used to be one of my favorite spots to dine. That being said, I no longer find the food as comforting. I've been away from Denver for a couple of years now, and maybe the chef has changed. The menu seems to have lost intention in flavor profiles. The use of smoke on the shrimp dish and chicken tinga is too overbearing and not balanced at all with the subtleties of mexican cuisine. The Mojo was missing basic flavor structure and felt lackluster. The flour tortillas were gummy and texturely unappealing. It feels as if there is a misunderstanding of this cuisine and it comes out in the food. It was very disappointing, but the cocktails were good.

The food was great, but the music was so loud. It felt like eating in a night club. We couldn’t hear our server at all, and she didn’t come by very much. I would only go back here maybe for an outdoor lunch. Just too loud indoors in the evening.
