Ce penthouse luxueux, ouvert depuis 1965, a atteint de nouveaux sommets après avoir été réaménagé de façon spectaculaire. Grâce à un nouveau salon, les clients bénéficient d'une plus belle vue sur la ligne d'horizon. Le restaurant franco-américain met en valeur les produits locaux dans des plats anciens comme les crevettes bleues grillées accompagnées de shishitos roussis et le flétan d'Alaska rôti à la poêle avec du maïs.

Mister A's will be offering a Jazz Brunch with New Orleans inspired cuisine along with our a la carte brunch menu. The Jazz brunch will only be featured on Saturdays and will include the option of listening to live music in the bar before being seated in the main dining room for an a la carte menu. Music will conclude at 1pm.

From the start of the welcome, the exquisite table, that view then the overall service, this was a fantastic experience! My friend and I ordered the steak tartar, oysters, halibut and filet, all were Delicious. The service from Ty and Piero made the night. Both gave suggestions, were attentive and created a fun time. We will Definately be back. A must try if you haven’t experienced Mr. A’s

We were so disappointed by our visit. We have eaten at Mr. A's countless times over the past 20 years, and the last time was 3 years ago. We choose Mr. A's because our adult kids were in town to visit and it was our daughter's birthday. We were looking forward to a great night out, an experience with great food and service. We didnt even consider other restaurants, though we could have. The server we had truly ruined our experience. She didnt seem to want to be there, and certainly wasnt interested in anything other than providing the bare minimum of service. She was there to take orders, and nothing more. We watched her with other tables and the service seemed to be the same. It didnt seem like any of the service staff worked together, not once did a maitre d' come by, and we had to ask if there were any sommeliers on staff, which our server just dismissed. It felt like a dining experience we'd get at a local casual restaurant that was too busy to care. I had requested a table by a window and a mention of my daughters birthday. Instead I was asked if it was our anniversary, and we had a table near a large group in a separate room, though there were several open tables at the window. Truly strange dining experience, and sadly we will not return. We have been to many michelin starred restaurants where the service is so fabulous and you can count on a special experience. Mr. A's has much work to do, if the restaurant even cares, before it could ever be on that level.

Each plate is about $40-$60+ depending on what you get but it's so worth it, all our food was delicious and the view alone pays for itself. If you know the weather will be around 75 degrees with little to no wind definitely dine outside, we had a wonderful experience for a business dinner.

The entire staff was excellent from beginning to end. David was very helpful with menu questions and courteous all throughout our lunch. My fiancé and I were even given a shareable congratulatory sorbet when we told him we were celebrating our engagement. Not to mention, the dining room and views were some of the best to see in San Diego.
