Join Chef Alon Shaya and his wife and restauranteur Emily Shaya for a Pizza Party on the patio of Miss River. Why pizza? The Shaya's love for pizza hearkens back to Chef Alon's days in Italy as an apprentice under Chef Enzo the Pizzaiolo. On May 30, they will welcome old and new friends to the patio where Emily has decorated a communal table for an evening reminiscent of their vacations in Italy. Chef Alon will be working the wood-fired oven and chatting with guests about his technique. We hope you will join us for this special evening of inspired cuisine and aperitivos, with more dates to be announced soon. Ticket price includes three courses and spritzes.

Chef Alon Shaya will lead two pizza-making designed for children ages 4 through 12 years old. Keep your youngest chefs entertained with an introduction to pizza-making while parents enjoy culinary delights and classic cocktails on the patio. Registration for the class is $50 per child and includes one kid-sized pizza and a root beer float. Limited spots are available.

Looking for a private dining experience? Join us in The Parlor Room which seats up to 12 guests. The menu for this experience includes Louisiana Seafood Service, followed by appetizers for the table: Best Stop Boudin, Louisiana BBQ Shrimp, and the Crab Maison Salad. Guests are then served the Whole Carved Buttermilk-Fried Chicken, Blackened Snapper, Filet Mignon Tournedos, and Clay Pot Dirty Rice family style. Sides for the table are our award-winning Red Beans & Rice, Creamed Spinach, and French Fries. Guests will enjoy Baked Alaska and Butter-Fried Beignets for dessert. Full table participation is required and price does not include beverages or sales tax. Please note that a gratuity of 20% will be added to all large parties.

Our experience was great! Went on Mother’s Day and had no problems! I read the reviews and saw there were problems being short staffed, but i think they’ve resolved that because we had no problem! Food is quite expensive, but it is very good and you get a quality experience. My mom got the filet mignon 10/10 I got the shrimp and grits and they were excellent as well. We indulged in the $85 3-course.

The food was excellent! The bbq shrimp appetizer is outstanding and the Demi glacé for the beef was best we’ve ever had. Wonderful baked Alaska for dessert. The ambience had a very nice gentle vibe, the noise level would’ve been better except for a very loud table of people in the semi-private room where their yelling did travel (it didn’t look like there was the ceiling sound buffering in that room as there was in the other parts of the restaurant). While everyone that worked there was friendly, overall the service was spotty sorry to say. We had to ask for a cocktail menu and then realized there was a separate wine menu that we also had to ask for- the food menu was given to us when we sat down. At times it was difficult to get our server’s attention and the entree delivery was slow… We would definitely return though.

Very underwhelming, especially for the price. Service surprisingly lackluster (slow, disengaged, explicit request not honored), which was very off brand for Four Seasons and especially unfortunate at the restaurant’s price point. Food was…fine, at best. Really nothing special, except maybe the bread. Sauce on the BBQ shrimp was extremely strong, way too much miso or Worcestershire. “Sicilian artichokes,” on the other hand, lacked much flavor and was an awfully fancy way to describe what was basically 8 artichoke hearts. Crawfish strudel was OK but lobster sauce around it was barely warm. Mezcalero cocktail extremely sweet and with no smokiness at all. Overall, pretty disappointing.

Unfortunately they were understaffed at our visit. Took 20 minutes to be seated ( and not a word about why) then 15 more minutes for someone to come to table to apologize about being down 2 servers. then 10 more minutes for a server to come w water. Then we were saved by a wonderful server. She saved the day. Also our food was excellent. It was jazz Fest so understandable a bit

Miss Rivers has limited its brunch menu since it first opened but still seemed like a good choice for closing out a week in New Orleans. They were out of avocado toast(?!) and out of the figs that made their oats a good choice for vegetarians. Crab dish and rice dish were outstanding. Service is relaxed so prepare to be there for a while.

We participated in special event hosted by Shaya who created pizzas for over twenty people to demonstrate the Four Season's Hotel latest cuisine innovation. They will be hosting these events many times. I met Alon Shaya a really nice guy and popular NO chef along with Nicholas Owen the Director of Food and Beverage and Culinary Operations who ran the entire proceeding like a Swiss Watch. A great evening and Miss River is one of our go to eating pleasures.

We were at Miss River for an outdoor pizza party with Alon Shaya. The service and food was so good. The meal was served family style and it was a great way to get to know people. Our favorite pizza was the Sausage and Honey pizza but, we also really enjoyed the Margherita pizza. I highly recommend eating on the patio, it's gorgeous.

Our server was polite but not attentive at all. We were a group of four and I do believe she was serving a larger, louder birthday party of about 10 people. However, we would've ordered more cocktails had she ever asked us if we needed them. In a food city with so many great restaurants and food service workers, I definitely would not go back here.

So it’s expensive after all it’s the Four Seasons. But it’s one of the few places which can justify its prices. Food and service are impeccable.

The food was really beautiful, full of flavor, the only thing I would say is not to go for lunch unless you're in a group. The only reason for that is it was virtually empty, no day time ambiance and if your going to spend that kind of money for lunch, you want all that. I would recommend this restaurant, just dinner.

I made a reservation for outdoor dining, upon arrival only then was I told they weren't serving outside. We waited 20 minutes for a drink, then the appetizers another half hour or so, finally dinner at 9:05 from a 7:30 reservation. I know waiters recommend what to eat but our server spent more time telling us for all 3 courses what his favorite food on and on and on. Wanted a salad for an appetizer but was told they didn't have salads! Who doesn't have Salad on their menu! I ordered the Crawfish Pasta which was spicy (did not say that on the menu) & tasted like someone poured a box of salt on it. They took my dinner off the check and didn't charge us for dessert due to the delays in service. I blame the restaurant for not having enough staff that night. I wouldn't come back here, there are much better restaurants in the French Quarter.

Overpriced and Disappointing Southern-Style Meal at Miss River My family and I chose Miss River at the Four Seasons for a Southern-style dining experience. We were prepared to spend a bit more for quality food, but unfortunately, the meal fell far short of our expectations, and the prices were exorbitant. For a party of five, our bill amounted to nearly $400. We ordered fried chicken, rice, crawfish pasta, a fried pork chop, and a bottle of Riesling wine priced at around $60. We also indulged in three desserts. The fried chicken entree, meant to serve the entire table, consisted of a single whole chicken, battered and fried, priced at over $60. Similarly, the rice entree, also intended for the table, cost more than $40. While the rice dish was fancy, incorporating duck egg and duck liver mousse, the overwhelming flavor of the liver was unappetizing to everyone at the table. Frankly, we could have gotten better-tasting chicken at KFC for a fraction of the price. I expected far more from a restaurant located in the esteemed Four Seasons hotel. The quality of the food did not justify the high prices, and the overall dining experience was disappointing. Miss River has certainly lost my patronage, and I would not recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable meal in New Orleans. There are undoubtedly better options in the city for a delightful Southern dining experience.

A little pricey, but overall outstanding food! Drea at the bar was a wonderful host. I even got a special birthday treat at the end. Thanks for making my experience one to remember.

Visited NOLA for a conference. Made it a point to find great spots for dinner and breakfast/brunch. Miss River DID NOT disappoint! Had dinner our very first night - can I just say sweet potato brioche bread?? Heavenly warm and scrumptious! And decided to do brunch the last day before we flew back to the West Coast. From the drinks to the buttermilk friend chicken and biscuit, this was a lovely brunch. Live music as well! Could have stayed there all day. Yes, it’s costly but the service is top notch, all the staff are knowledgeable regarding various dishes and the experience is one we’ll never forget.

We had a birthday lunch planned here for a group of ten. When we arrived about fifteen minutes early (which I had said we would to decorate the table) our table wasn’t ready and we were asked to wait despite the dining room being more than half empty. Eventually they built another table for us since apparently the planned one wasn’t leaving fast enough. Again, restaurant wasn’t very full so this could easily have been done ahead. Next we waited an extraordinarily long time for our first drinks. I mean, 45 minutes past ordering them, and for three of us, 25 minutes after the other seven had gotten theirs. This was all fairly disappointing, particularly when we had indicated this was a birthday celebration etc. I am happy to say though that the food, when we got into that part, was truly delicious. Shared many apps - baked oysters, morel toast, crab au gratin. All were wonderful. Many of us got the express lunch, which was a really good deal (surprising here, tbh) and also delicious. And after the first hour, everything came timely. Overall the restaurant totally redeemed itself, but the rocky start could have been improved.

there was a DJ playing New Orleans music on a turntable in the restaurant, which would be a nice touch if it were not so loud that you cannot hear yourself talk. I expected the music to be background. I am a local and I thought quality of the oysters and shrimp was sub par. almost $50 for two sandwiches I expected more. Server Michael was wonderful. Was checking to see if I would be bring friends there from out of town… unsure
