Mimmos Italian Village is one of the 3 original restaurants left in San Diego's historic Little Italy district. Established in 1973 in the heart of Little Italy you will find Mimmos is 3rd generation family owned and operated .

Enjoy our amazing food all homemade from scratch daily, using quality ingredients and fresh local produce .

Our popular dishes include, campanelle sausage, spicy shrimp linguine, and chicken parmesan. You can enjoy these dishes alongside a nice glass of wine or signature homemade sangria.

Mimmo's Italian Village was started by Vincenzo Mimmo Gaglio, originally from Montelepre, Sicily. Before arriving in San Diego, Gaglio sharpened his cooking skills in Tunisia, New York City, Ontario, California, and finally, San Diego.

Mimmo's seating areas consist of a charming indoor village, alfresco front and back patio seating.

Chicken parmigiana: Breadcrumbs overcooked. Chicken fine, but slightly overdone. Pomodoro, very good. Linguine: Disastrous, buried under mounds of food, and by the time I reached it, just a blob of inedible something. MASSIVE block of cheese on top--totally overdone. I scraped it off. Service was fine, if rote. But don't eat there if this is representative of their food. Ugh. P.S. The wine was excellent. And noise level--don't trust me. I ate at 11:30

Make your own pasta was a “meal-saver” for vegans. Pasta was cooked perfectly spinach & mushrooms tasty. Served was helpful pleasant and service was quick in a busy place.

I had not been down to Littel Italy in quite awhile, but had the opportunity to take a business associate. The whole area is very nice and Mimmo's was a great place to eat. Great menu, tremendous service. The server, Emily I believe, was very kind and walked us through the menu professionally. I had really forgotten about Little Italy and it is now back on my radar

Delicious burrata (the bread that came with it was just okay), gluten free crust on the pizza was good, and the spicy sausage pasta was delicious!

This restaurant is very inviting. Love the nooks and crannies and fun decor. But the menu was uninspired and the food was mediocre.

I think about the Campanelle Sausage dish almost every day, and it's been almost 3 weeks since I ate it! It was SO delicious. I make my own pasta that I love, so I'm extremely picky about what I eat when I eat out. I often get disappointed with the dishes that I order because I think that I could make it better. I would travel back to San Diego to eat it again!

We were celebrating my 50th birthday. I requested outdoor seating, which we did not receive. Then were put in, what appeared to be the kids corner, in an alcove. I sent a message with my reservation advising that it would be 6 of us plus a highchair & table was set for 5 plus the highchair. No mention was made regarding our celebration, which was a bit disappointing as a person only turns 50 once in a lifetime.
