Restaurant is in the lobby of a very nice upscale hotel. Surprised it wasn't busy at all at 2pm on Mothers Day. Menu was limited though. If you like a nice quiet upscale place this is good for you.

Lovely setting and attentive service despite the concern that the kitchen might be too busy to handle menu orders during a time when brunch was being served.

We were seated at 6:30. At 7:15 we were told that the kitchen was backed up 1 and 1/2 hours. When the food did finally arrive it as under cooked.

Food was horrible. Time to get food was forever. I felt bad for the server, but she never came around hardly at all. My water glass was empty most of the entire experience.

Food amazing, comfortable table, we enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drinks, Our server however ignored us, did not smile at all and clearly did not want to serve us. The hostess cleared our table , served our dessert and coffee A-PLUS EXPERIENCE except our waitress

Service was very good for an early NY Eve dinner. But the food was very average, prices were the “new norm” (ie, high) making for a so-so value. A fine, pleasant place if you’re staying at the hotel, but not destination dining.

Sunday brunch before a Viking's game... I'd called before our reservation and was told that there was both a buffet and menu options, but when we arrived only the buffet was available. The buffet was not nearly what we would have expected, especially for $22 pp. Service was poor, and we had to repeatedly find someone to take our drink order. Very disappointing.

Thank you for the feedback. I apologize that we were reduced to the buffet only on a busy pre-game event and that the service is not up to our standard. The game days can be overwhelming and we will work on increasing staffing to make sure that all guests are taken care of properly on these days.

I can't remember the last time I had such a BAD restaurant experience. We sat for 35 minutes before a waiter/waitress ever even acknowledged us. Finally a waiter came over only to tell us how busy they are. When we finally had our actual waitress come over (45 minutes after being seated) we put in our order right away. 40 minutes later after several tables around us (who had order after us) had gotten their food we still hadn't. We went up to the manager to ask what was going on since we hadn't seen our waitress since our initial order was taken. The manager brought our food out right away, which can only mean it was sitting in the kitchen waiting to be deliver the whole time. Once the food arrived it was freezing cold. So after waiting 45 minutes to place the order and another 40 minutes to receive our food (1 hr 25 mn total) the dinner end up being cold and inedible. The waitress then tried to apologize by offering to comp the "entire" dinner, but when the bill came they only took off 2 Diet Cokes and 1 salad (an $18 value).

The menu that you see on OpenTable is completely different from the menu when you get there, I was not very impressed. The service was not that great, and the steak bites were disgusting. Very cute ambience and very cute vibes but not the best menu.

The service was great, the food delicious. Beautiful venue with much history. However, due to the restaurant being also pretty open to lobby area. Make it difficult to control noise volume when lobby is busy. Also makes it hard to control environmental temperature for restaurant patrons. Overall would return due to good food and service as well as ambiance aside from noise and environmental temperature control.

The Depot at Milwuakee Road is a perfect place to eat before attending a play at the Guthrie. Park once and take the short walk to the thearter. And the food is incredible!

Very cute and enjoyable place! We went when it wasn’t overly busy, so it was very quiet. Service was absolutely fantastic - our waitress was amazing, and was willing and able to answer all of our questions! Overall, a wonderful experience!

Despite making an online reservation for 11am, we arrived to find the staff surprised to see us since they don't start lunch service until noon. Everything online says that breakfast goes until 11am and the all day menu begins at 11am. It was super-awkward for them to tell us the kitchen hadn't prepared any of the lunch items yet but they would set a table and see what they could do. We had a fabulous server and she made us feel welcome even though she didn't get her break between the two services (b'fast & lunch) as she should have. We probably didn't order exactly what we wanted from the menu in an effort to choose easy, quick items so we would make it to our show in time, but the food we did order was great and, again, our server was a gem.

$70 for two adults and Teo children for a breakfast "buffet" that consisted of the same items we have at our hotel next door was a rip off.

Thank you for the review, Shay. While our breakfast buffet is $22 per adult, $11 per child 5-11 and children 4 and under for free, we do offer a larger selection of items, fresh pastries and fresh fruit. I apologize if the percieved value was not there for you.

Ate outside prior to attending a performance at the Guthrie on Sunday evening. Had the outer dining area to ourselves. Light sandwiches or a full entree dinner on the menu. Looking forward to our next visit.

I asked the server for a GF option (I have celiac) and she first told me I could have the beyond burger (their vegetarian option). I explained that that would have gluten and to ask the chef what I could have. She came back and told me to have the grain bowl without the barley. I ordered it with steak. It came out with salmon instead of steak and I mentioned it to the woman who brought out our food. She told me I was lucky that they even made me something gluten free as they wouldn’t normally do that. Her tone was rude and we were all literally shocked at what happened. This has NEVER happened before in my life. Worse yet, the woman who made that awful comment was the manager!! Tables around us were also having issues with service we noticed, so at least it wasn’t just us getting treated poorly. On the flip side, the place is beautiful esthetically. Service was terribly slow though and the uncalled for rudeness was unacceptable.

Service was poor, food was not very good,glazed salmon was good but the pasta that came with it was soaked in a vinaigrette that made it inedible. Grilled cheese with waygu ribs came sitting in a puddle of grease. I did not receive the drink that I ordered, and the one I got tasted like mostly simple syrup. The ambiance in the uber home was more enjoyable that the restaurant itself. Waste of $100, actually considered leaving before the entrees even came. Awful.

The service was fine, the ambiance was great (in the renaissance hotel, and very well down), but the food missed the mark. The only thing we had that was enjoyable was the dip appetizer. I would say go for drinks and apps, but look elsewhere for dinner.
