Your hosts, David Levy and Barry Robbins, welcome you to their version of a traditional deli! When we opened in 1995 our goal was to remind our customers what a deli experience is like. From crunchy kosher pickles to piled high pastrami and corned beef sandwiches, steaming bowls of matzo ball soup, traditional brisket dinners and a bakery boasting homemade recipes, we hope to please our customers from start to finish. We work hard to source the best meats, vegetables, and ingredients all while developing new items to keep up with current culinary trends!

Lots of negative reviews but our experience was great. Stopped in on a Tuesday before 12. We were immediately seated. We didn’t need a reservation at this time. Service was excellent and the daily special was a Rueben. It was delicious.

We were so happy we chose Milton’s for dinner. The menu had so many choices and the portions were generous. Staff was friendly and the manager was pleasant and personable. I loved the comfortable booths and the bakery department had my favorites that I loved as a child.

The food was solid, but I expected the service to be much better. Out order came out wrong, and we had to flag our server down to get it fixed. The server never came back to check on us, so we had to flag them down again for more water and ice tea.

Went with a group of friends— we all enjoyed our meals, even one who is not a deli person. The matzo ball and kreplach soups were delicious with pieces of chicken and carrots. I had a monte christo sandwich which was hard to find- this one was perfect!! The rest of our party had pastrami, a Reuben sandwich and a pancake style omelette. The portions are good, food tasted fresh. The servers are accommodating and easy to do split checks. They also have a deli and bakery so you can pick up some treats or bread to take home.

It is great to have real Eastern style deli nearby. I celebrated my birthday at Milton's last week with friends for lunch and we had a wonderful time. The menu is amazing and goes on for pages. You can have wonderful deli sandwiches and plates, great appetizers, dinner options, and even breakfast all day. The staff could not have been nicer. They even came by to sing to me with a treat and a lit candle for me to blow out. You do need a reservation during lunch. I have to mention that with all the good, I suggest you skip the bathroom. Filthy! So keep your eyes closed on that count, but otherwise if you like deli, don't miss it.

Miltons is always a treat. Their sandwiches are the best in San Diego county in my opinion. The Super Ruben is definately a two meal sandwich. Their potato salad is sooo good too! The staff is always helpful and friendly. If you are on the fence about going to Miltons, you need to go! Just wish there was one closer to Escondido!

A lunch reservation and they made us wait till the mother and infant arrived who was being calmed in the car. Then when she came they made mom hold infant carry for 15 minutes waiting in lobby to then be seated. It’s ridiculous. It’s a casual family restaurant everyone could have been seated & ordered and had the food waiting for the mom to eat.

We hadn't been back to Milton's in over 10 years because we moved out of the area. We just spent out 25th wedding anniverary in Southern California and decided that we would go back to Milton's for Christmas lunch and was not disappointed at all. We had their famous Monti Cristo sandwich and it was as delish as it was 10 years ago. Wish they had one in Northern California. Great food, great atmosphere. You will be so happy to have dined there.

We love Milton’s. It was my birthday. My brother, who used to live in New York , bought me an egg cream. Everyone loved their food! And we appreciated being able to buy half portions. I had a Reuben, which was delicious.

Always a great experience! When visiting Del Mar we make plans around dining at Milton’s. It never disappoints and we brought two new converts and they loved the experience, not to mention the bakery! Make a point to make sure Milton’s is on your TO DO list when I’m the area.
