Free parking at the front door. Friendly greeting and we were seated at our reserved time - outside. The indoor ambiance was modern and upscale - medium noise. The outside was a nice patio -‘with some street noise. Everything we had was amazing - garden salad, spring rolls, shrimp tacos, carrots, sea bass, burger, key lime dessert, americano. Our waiter was friendly but not overbearing or intrusive. As an added bonus you can read the nutritional value of your food.

I eaten at your restaurant many times. Our waiter was substandard for your standards and for restaurants in general. He didn’t smile, he seemed indifferent to our experience, he wanted me to clean up a water mess he caused by an ice bucket that he had overfilled. I had to use my own napkin and Then he didn’t think to bring me a new napkin. He started talking before he approached the table, so we couldn’t hear him. He didn’t check how the meal was or if we needed anything. He didn’t have a good personality at all, nor did he seem to care about doing a good job. One can’t make the excuse that it was Mother’s Day because the restaurant was full, but not overcrowded and not all tables seating at once. You were properly staffed. The hostess was quite friendly.

Food was good, but we waited for almost an hour from time we sat down to time we received our food. Drinks were empty for a good 10 minutes before server came to ask if we wanted more. Cute restaurant, but I don't think I'll go back.

We hand wonderful Mathers Day dinner. Restaurant was busy but our server was very attentive and with great energy.

Always a sure bet at MVK! Mother’s Day brunch was tasty and fabulous. Wish they would’ve had another creamy chocolate dessert besides all the chia desserts, but the warm chocolate chip cookies, more than made up for the lack of chocolate! You must eat here soon!

lovely place. located right on France Ave. The outdoor seating is on Excelsior Blvd but is covered and set back a bit. Great food nice quiet environment and excellent service. It was recommended to me by several friends and I am happy to recommend it as well. I'll be back!

Flatbread pizza app was outstanding, however pasta was overcooked and bland. Salmon dish was well prepared, but had slight burnt oil aftertaste. Service was ok, not regular checkins.

Disappointing experience from a welcome and service standpoint. Visited to take advantage of the Tax Day burger offer. Host and server didn’t seem happy to be at the restaurant and made little to no effort to make our experience enjoyable. This wasn’t the norm and we’ll consider a return. However, this wasn’t a memorable visit to MVK.

Though I’ve previously had some good meals here, this last one was a major disappointment. Our server forgot parts of our order…no big deal, but the $29 chicken dinner had virtually no white meat and was an unusually small portion. The butterscotch budino was pretty much inedible and our coffee’s arrived lukewarm. I hope it was just a bad night.

The overall experience was great. The prices were all a little bit higher than I'm comfortable with, however the food/service/atmosphere was worth it. The women's restroom was super clean and to dry your hands they had a bin of white hand towels rolled up, like at a spa! Nice final touch. On the website they advise that parking is limited and you might want to carpool. This is helpful advice. We were lucky enough to get a parking spot anyway, but at least we knew ahead of time we might have to scramble for parking.

The fresh orange juice was refreshing and the biscuits and mushroom gravy was amazing! The restaurant was clean and the service was terrific. I will definitely be back!

We enjoyed a lovely Easter brunch in the light filled space, perfect for spring. Usually buffets are rather ho hum but this one didn't disappoint. There were so many fresh and unusual options I kept going back for more long after I shouldn't.

Food was great for Easter buffet. But I was shocked to see a $4.50 charge for tea or coffee after a $45 per head buffet charge. Seems like those beverages should have been included in the price. Felt like I was being price gouged.

We sat in the bar and had a wonderful dinner. Came at the tail end of a big rush in the bar area but the waitstaff were very accommodating Great meal included spring rolls, shrimp tacos and flatbread. Loved the “Dem Apples” cocktail as well

The food was great, we had the winter salad, sea bass and salmon dishes. I highly recommend all of them. The waitress rushed us a bit but otherwise good service. We had forgotten about this restaurant and will add it back to our list of places to go.

The biscuits and mushroom gravy were wonderful. The turkey sausage was bland, to the point of inedible. The veggie burger was delish. The server seemed uninterested. She didn't even comment when I'd eaten all the biscuits and gravy but hardly touched the turkey sausage. We would have taken it home to the dog, but were afraid there were onions in it. (Dogs can't eat onions.) I probably will come back, but with some dishes great and others not so good, I'll be careful what I order.

Food, as usual, was quite good. Atmosphere good. Our service was terrible. After food was served, came by and noticed no syrup had come with order (French toast), and apologized and said she would bring some immediately. She did not return until we had eaten, so never got it. (We were hungry and didn't wait, which was fortunate.) Waitress never even checked back on coffee. When she eventually came by some time after we had been done eating, we asked for the check. She did not bring it for a full ten minutes (by now we were clock watching). No, we were not back in some isolated corner, there were other tables nearby. Since this was our first bad experience at the restaurant, we are still marking down that we would refer there. But another experience like this and we will not.

I was very pleased that even though our reservation was 12:30, the sound level was quite reasonable and we didn't have to raise our voices to hear each other. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and we enjoyed our sandwishes very much. I did bring a new friend who feels the same as I do, so she might become a new customer. I do enjoy Mill Valley Kitchen. It is a hike for me; I live on the Mississippi River, but worth the trip.

The food was delicious! And healthy. As a vegan, I really appreciate the vegan options available at this restaurant. Our server was friendly, professional, and super helpful. The atmosphere here is lovely and quiet enough that it’s easy to have conversations.
