Mile Marker One restaurant in Gloucester MA is a waterfront restaurant and bar on the water in Cape Ann MA. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our river front dining room and bar offers four season indoor dining. Our outdoor dining includes covered and sun exposed outdoor seating both on our deck and restaurant front side piazza. As always, the food, the great service, the beautiful ambiance, and the very supportive staff makes this location and A+ always for dining excellence. They have grass-fed burgers. They have fresh fish. And they have tasty vegetarian and gluten-free options for those of us on a sensitive diet. I highly recommend this location and love going there often.

Beautiful restaurant overlooking Cape Ann Marina and the Annisquam River. We had the broccoli and cauliflower apps. Both were delicious. I had the fish tacos. Very good and messy. Maybe a bit too much sauce. The rest of our party had Cesar Salad with steak tips and Fish & Chips. Both said there meals were also very good. Service was attentive. We ate inside, it was a little tight in there, but our table was perfectly situated to watch the boats on the river. The key lime was a bit different than a traditional one, however it was great.

Service was a bit slow in the beginning due to it being very busy, but once we got going the service was very attentive. Two separate people came round ask us about our meal, which was appreciated. The food was plentiful and delicious! Only complaint was that the calamari was under seasoned. We sat in the section with the big windows looking over the water, and it was gorgeous. Noise level was very low considering how busy it was. They accommodated an extra person in our party very last minute. Overall a really great experience!

For Mothers’s Day brunch I brought my Mom and daughter and we were extremely disappointed with the food and especially the service. I ordered the fish tacos while my Mom ordered the haddock Ruben. There were four small fish tacos all of which were completely covered with spicy slaw. The piece of fish under each pile of slaw was tiny. Essentially the were “slaw tacos”. The giant pile of slaw left on my plate when I was finished took up half of the plate. The same with my Mom’s sandwich. There was so much sauerkraut and spicy slaw but just a tiny bit of haddock. My daughter ordered the lobster roll and that was a decent portion (but maybe just needed more mayonnaise). Our server, a young lady, had zero personality, and seemed disgusted she had to work. No greeting from her when we sat down. We ordered mimosas and she spilled them on the table and on my daughter’s lap. I can’t remember the last time I dined out and had a completely rude server. There is zero reason for us to ever return to this restaurant when there are so many wonderful ones in the area.

We got 2 Bloody Maria’s and 1 Bloody Mary, the Bloody Mary was good but the Maria’s were disgusting. They were thin and watery and gross. We ordered 4 meals, 2/4 were good. The corned beef hash is simply just not corned beef hash, it was cubed corned beef and cubed potatoes, somehow the poached eggs were dry and looked like raisins. The steak and eggs were smothered in some weird sweet sauce, I definitely wouldnt have ordered had I known- it wasn’t stated anywhere. They forgot the toast that came with the meal and acted weird when we said we would like the toast it came with. Overall, 0/10. We should’ve assumed it was bad when the restaurant was nearly empty on the Saturday before Mother’s Day.

We arrived, we were seated, sat for 15 mins, waitress came complained about finishing a big party, didn’t have enough water, instead of taking a drink order, left to get water and we walked out. The manager didn’t apologize or offer anything to keep us there. Not the best service especially considering it’s the off season. Good luck.

What a beautiful luncheon our family had at Mile Marker the service and food both were exceptional. Yuri was very sweet and helpful and recommended the fried clams that were on special and they were the best clams I have had in a long time.

Food was great. Igloo was terrible...the heat could not be controlled so we were always hot or cold. I had to get up from my meal 20+ times to turn heat up or down. I asked to have heater replaced...there were several igloos empty, and they would not. Super disappointed in their response to heat problem.

The table runner only brought food for half the people, so the other half cooled and waited. She passed the plates across so the person had to reach across to accept, rather than the appropriate manner of setting it in front of the customer. She did it twice and then gave me the stink eye when she saw I wasn’t pleased.

1st time there, was very impressed with the menu offerings beginning with "Starters" then the "Main course" to 'Specials" then wrapping up with the desserts! Looking forward to going back again to try rest of menu and will be recommending to friends outside of Gloucester!

We did the Igloo Dining. So much fun. The food was delicious and our waitress was super nice. Would definitely do it again!

Rented out one of the igloos for dinner. It heated up very quickly, I ended up getting too hot so had to turn the gage of the heater up and down almost every 10 minutes. That was really my only complaint. Food was good and portions were big. We really enjoy the homemade tortilla chips. Waitress was friendly and definitely a hard worker back and forth to the igloos. Over all experience was nice. A romantic igloo dining for two was just what we needed. It was also a nice treat to bring back our cocktails to out room if we were not finished. I ordered one to go.

Tried a winter igloo for Valentine's Day lunch. Wind was howling but the day and our time there perfectly sunny!!! The igloo temperature toasty warm, the space cozy. Waiting staff, donned in winter hats provided outstanding service. A real treat for a couple who, for health concerns, are unable to enjoy indoor restaurant dining. Also impressed by how many glucose-free options there were on the menu. Many thanks for the memorable meal.

Bloody marys were nice and spicy. Pancakes were good, french toast was a huge chunk of bread, crunchy on the outside tender on the inside. Eggs Benedict, torta espanola and steak and eggs were good. Acia bowl small and not flavorful. Sweet potato and brussel sprouts hash with poached eggs. The “hash” part was disappointing although the eggs were perfectly cooked, the toast was great but the hash had no seasoning and was just steamed vegetables. . The ice cave was a fun novelty, clean and was toasty warm with soft blankets if you wanted, but definitely not needed. Will go back and dine in the restaurant, but not for breakfast. Our waitress was very good.

We went for lunch, and it was a beautiful sunny day. We got a table right next to the window. The service was prompt and friendly. We ordered the hummus plate appetizer, which was outstanding, followed by the beet salad with shrimp and chicken wings. All of the food was excellently, prepared and delicious. It was a wonderful experience. We will be back!

The igloo dining is a lot of fun and offers a unique dining experience. The service is very good and all staff are friendly and helpful. I would give the food a B/B+ depending on what is ordered.

Took my cousins for their Birthdays. We had lunch in the igloo. They loved it and want to come back again. We always order the mussels and the bang bang shrimp to start. Our lunch was wonderful.

I was disappointed because I was not made aware that on Sundays they only have the brunch menu available all day—no dinner menu.

We had breakfast in the igloos and loved it! The food was delicious, big portions, and reasonably priced. It got a little warm, but our waiter helped us with that. We would definitely go again!

Absolutely perfect! Beautiful Ice Cave with lots of space for gifts, coats, 3 little ones, strollers. Delicious and varied breakfast menu; SUPERB service! We were warm on a VERY cold day, especially with the sun shining in. Can’t wait to return….

Went on Saturday night with 10deg and -12deg wind chill. The igloos work great. The heater warmed the igloo to about 68F - 70F. Our server Nina, was delightful and was very concerned with our comfort (provided blankets if needed) and knew the menu very well. The food was served very hot and all seafood is very fresh with very generous portions. Desserts are excellent especially the ones featuring the warm brownie. It is a great experience and highly recommended, definitely coming back.
