Very fresh nigiri / sashimi, tasty gomae and garden roll. Not a fan of the aburi - too heavy on the mayo for me! Overall, very pleasant lunch - great service from Caitlin.

I come for the Shokai lunch regularly. Usually when we order tea, we each get our own teapots and are charged accordingly. Yesterday when my two guests arrived, we were made to share my small teapot and were charged for three.

It was outstanding as always. We come every year when we visit Vancouver. The sushi is the best anywhere we have ever been. We ate until we rolled out! Yum!

Requested window seat for a weekday dinner. The group arrived right before us and another group arrived after us both got window seats. I asked and was told no guarantee. I told them I'd the like to wait for the next available one then was told it will be an hour wait when I saw a table ready to get bill and there was no other group waiting. Also, told them it's my friend's birthday. I ordered dessert for her and told them it's her birthday. They didn't bother put a happy birthday sign on it while almost all the restaurants where I had birthday dinner always do something for special occasions. I already think there food was not good but was there for the view and service. But that's the experience I got. Don't think I'll return

I am surprised that I thought this place is a fine dining restaurant. My first feeling is this place is very noisy, so we decided to sit outside and it is better. However, the view is not too impressive as we were facing a big container terminal. We ordered green tea and it took quite a while to come, and it surprised me that it was served in a metal tea pot. We ordered a combo sets, but the sushi was not impressed at all. Overall, I am quite disappointed about this restaurant, I don’t know how it got the Michelin award. I don’t think I will go back again, and i won’t recommended my friend to go.

This place is so unbearably loud that, even if the food had been exceptional, we wouldn’t have enjoyed our meal. I had the lobster risotto which nicked two small tempura fried pieces of lobster which only tasted of the fry oil rather than of lobster. The risotto was okay, but a bit too much.

It was for our 20th anniversary. The food, our server!!! Amazing, next level, tears in my eyes due to the experience. If you haven’t been there, go! The food is ‘close your eyes, transport me to joy land’ good!!!

Overall a very pleasant experience. All our wait staff were extremely knowledgable about the products that were being served. Detailed providence of the East Coast and West Coast oysters was appreciated. The sushi and sashimi were exquisite.

The menu is so unique (plenty of regular sushi options as well) and the presentation of each dish was beautiful. Our server (who is really a bartender and was filling in) was amazing, super helpful, friendly, patient, and really nice. Our entire experience was exceptional. Only wish we were staying in Vancouver longer, we’d definitely go back. This a must not miss restaurant!

Every time I get to come to Vancouver, I include Miku on my list. Despite the dramatic view, the originality and quality of the food, sakes and cocktails proves this is a worthy winner. Katherine’s attentive service, expert menu suggestions and great humor were an added treat. Try Miku! It’s really good

Not often we spend over $300pp on a dinner, however the exceptional service, exquisite chef selection of dishes, and a massive range of premium sake made out experience well worth the final bill. Thankyou Miku and all staff for an unforgettable evening.

Our server was absolutely wonderful! He was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. He was very passionate about the sake flight I ordered and even though I’ve been to Miku many times over the years, was the first person to offer me guidance on which sale to enjoy with what items on the tasting menu. The food was delicious as usual but the server was really the highlight of this visit!

Excellent as always!!! From the moment we came in and came out. Accommodating to allergy requests and willing to substitute if not liking Tuna for Salmon. Our waitress Chelsea was knowledgeable and attentive too!!

Everything about our experience was phenomenal! Our server (wonderful Australian gal) was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Each dish we were served looked like a piece of art and tasted heavenly. When you are served each dish they explain the flavor profiles to you in the dish. Absolutely loved our experience and we will be back. My new favorite place for a night out in Vancouver!

We celebrated a 60th birthday and it was perfect! Our waiter Andy was exceptional and recommended a few dishes. All the dishes were delicious. All the servers explained the dishes. We were seated by the window and the view was awesome. We will definitely return sooner than later. Thank you.

As I had this tasting menu one adjective came to mind: fear. A Japanese restaurant with chefs petrified of flavour, umami, funk (ferments), and surprise. A sadly ahistorical state of affairs.

Our first visit at Miku! All the food we ordered was really good and the seafood was fresh. We ordered the Hokkaido scallops, ebi fritters, calamari, spicy soba, salmon oishi and the green tea opera cake. All the appetizers we had were extremely delicious, the sauces complimented their dishes really well! Batter was nice and light!

Kristen (front desk) always picks up the phone & makes an exception to give me a table. Sometimes it is difficult to book in advance due to erratic schedules however I often dine in weekly at Miku. She is sweetest & kindest. Of course the best too! On the other hand, Vincent is the BEST server due to his immense great customer service. He always serves me. Fast & efficient. He also pays attention of what I like & dislike so he can ask the chef to prepare accordingly. Both Kristen & Vincent provided impeccable services! Please recognize their hard work. P.S. Food is excellent & Miku rolls are superb! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
