We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly and lightly sear is known to enhance the natural flavors of the fish. Miku owner, Seigo Nakamura, innovated the Aburi concept by creating speciality sauces, using non-traditional Japanese ingredients, to complement the unique taste properties of each fish.

Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Trade & Exhibition Centre, IMAX Theatre, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus. If shopping downtown, join us for lunch and re-energize.

It's entrance is at the corner of Howe Street and Canada Place Way, overlooking the east cruiseship terminal at Canada Place.

**We only will hold reservations up to an additional 15 minutes after your reservation time, at which time your table will be released.

Not often we spend over $300pp on a dinner, however the exceptional service, exquisite chef selection of dishes, and a massive range of premium sake made out experience well worth the final bill. Thankyou Miku and all staff for an unforgettable evening.

Our server was absolutely wonderful! He was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. He was very passionate about the sake flight I ordered and even though I’ve been to Miku many times over the years, was the first person to offer me guidance on which sale to enjoy with what items on the tasting menu. The food was delicious as usual but the server was really the highlight of this visit!

Excellent as always!!! From the moment we came in and came out. Accommodating to allergy requests and willing to substitute if not liking Tuna for Salmon. Our waitress Chelsea was knowledgeable and attentive too!!

Everything about our experience was phenomenal! Our server (wonderful Australian gal) was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Each dish we were served looked like a piece of art and tasted heavenly. When you are served each dish they explain the flavor profiles to you in the dish. Absolutely loved our experience and we will be back. My new favorite place for a night out in Vancouver!

Great food & service as usual. Had the 180 Kaiseki menu. Overall great. Not a fan of the Kabocha cheesecake dessert

We celebrated a 60th birthday and it was perfect! Our waiter Andy was exceptional and recommended a few dishes. All the dishes were delicious. All the servers explained the dishes. We were seated by the window and the view was awesome. We will definitely return sooner than later. Thank you.

As I had this tasting menu one adjective came to mind: fear. A Japanese restaurant with chefs petrified of flavour, umami, funk (ferments), and surprise. A sadly ahistorical state of affairs.

Our first visit at Miku! All the food we ordered was really good and the seafood was fresh. We ordered the Hokkaido scallops, ebi fritters, calamari, spicy soba, salmon oishi and the green tea opera cake. All the appetizers we had were extremely delicious, the sauces complimented their dishes really well! Batter was nice and light!

Kristen (front desk) always picks up the phone & makes an exception to give me a table. Sometimes it is difficult to book in advance due to erratic schedules however I often dine in weekly at Miku. She is sweetest & kindest. Of course the best too! On the other hand, Vincent is the BEST server due to his immense great customer service. He always serves me. Fast & efficient. He also pays attention of what I like & dislike so he can ask the chef to prepare accordingly. Both Kristen & Vincent provided impeccable services! Please recognize their hard work. P.S. Food is excellent & Miku rolls are superb! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a fabulous experience from the time we arrived. Paul was a very knowledgeable server, and was quick and courteous in the way he explained the menu. The calamari was the most tender calamari I have ever had. We enjoyed it very much. And the drinks were delicious!

We ordered the 6 course meal and the presentation along with explanation of each course was magnificent. It was a beautiful show each course and the best sushi I've ever had.

Consistently delicious food and wonderful service. We love that we can always count on Miku for a lovely evening out. The only thing was the noise level in the restaurant made it difficult, at times, to have a good conversation. Ideal very enjoyable and highly recommended.

Hostess had a bad attitude when seating us - I asked to move to a table with a view which she reluctantly did. No reason for the attitude. Service was slow and the sushi was just average. I will not be returning, although the view by the water is excellent.

Came here with my partner while visiting Vancouver, it is one of the highest rated sushi spots in the city and it’s well-earned. They have a variety of different types of sakes to try as well as many Japanese-inspired cocktails. We ate a la carte so that we could try some appetizers, several different rolls, nigiri and sashimi - all very delicious and made for a fun night of eating delicious and interesting pieces while looking out at the Canada Place and the bay from our table. Would highly recommend this place for a fun date night, and I’d definitely visit again next time I go to Vancouver.

Waiter was charismatic and energetic - appetizers are delicious, but pricey; aburi oshi sushi are always the best; the oysters were a bit small, and the west coast ones taste better

Miku Restaurant at the Coal Harbour Vancouver BC is the absolutely best place for fine dining. Excellent food with excellent services, no doubt the restaurant is always full and it requires prior reservation to ensure you get a table at your desired date and time. Soba Peperoncino is absolutely my favourite, paired with the Sable Fish course.

Lenny and his team did an excellent job preparing for a surprise birthday in their private Blue Sky Room, The Kaiseki menu was delicious and the special macha, hazlenut, chocolate opera cake was a beautiful capstone on a great evening.

I found the 7-course tasting menu at Miku Restaurant to be disappointing, especially given its $180 price. The food didn't match the high standards I remembered from previous visits. Though the sushi was decent, the portions were small and the prices high. Ended up feeling hungry afterward and opted for pizza instead.
