Beginning with a few classic recipes culled from our chef’s family and friends, the menu captured the true spirit of Mexico. And its authentic style drew a loyal following of those in search of Sonoran grilled swordfish tacos, sizzling sirloin fajitas, and spicy rich chicken mole.

Over three decades, our signature friendly service and festive decor have made Miguel’s a San Diego tradition for locals and visitors alike. Our commitment to artisan cuisine has only grown stronger. That means handmade tortillas, fresh salsas, and colorful crispy chips made daily right in our kitchen. Of course, there’s our decadent, must-have jalapeño white sauce, occasionally referred to as white gold by regulars, and craved up and down the coast.

Overall was just OK. Service was a little slow, food was alright, but not amazing. Very touristy spot so just be forewarned. Staff was friendly though and has a nice view

The surf and turf burrito was great, along with the carnitas. The chamoy margarita and the michete margarita were the best.

The food was okay. Standard Mexican fare. The mimosa's had too much OJ. The service was slow, we had to request things multiple times and the bill was incorrect.

The view was very nice. But the food is mediocre at best. The swordfish tacos I ate had no taste. The margarita was so weak. I didn't care for the tamales either. My son did like his fajitas does though.

We were seated outside which had a very pretty view, our waiter gave us our waters and then she left and we felt like she forgot about us especially as she was helping everyone but us. We finally got our food after a long wait, my food was pretty good but my dates food was mid.

Service was not on it appetizers arrived. We didn’t have plates. We ordered two bottles of white wine. She poured the first one brought the second one out and said it on the table while the sun is hitting it I had to ask for something to keep it cold.

Hostesses are great! Really made sure we had the right table for our needs. Entire staff was warm and friendly!

We were seated outside and we thoroughly enjoyed the view! Their margaritas are great. I had the blood orange one and requested less sweet and it came out perfect! Also had appetizers in addition to their complimentary chops, salsa and queso - - nachos (fantastic) and ceviche (just okay). I loved the Cesar's salad with carnitas and shrimp. Of course I could not finish after pigging out on appetizers. It became a nice meal later.

The food and service here were great. The food prices were reasonable. The chips came with a delicious jalapeno white cheese dip that was amazing! We passed on hard liquor drinks due to the outrageous cost for a very tiny drink. When a drink costs more than the entire liquor bottle, I am out!

The Birria was exceptional, as was the Coco Piña cocktail. The wait staff was a tad slow to get going but were very attentive throughout the meal.

Beautiful view. Food was pretty good. Loved the location. I thought the acoustics in the restaurant were perfect. We could hear each other talk but it wasn't so quiet. It felt everyone was listening to us and we could listen to the music just fine

We had the chicken enchilada suizas, and the chicken was very dry. There was no sauce at all inside the enchiladas no cheese or anything. And we had the fajita supreme. We asked for extra onions in the fajitas and did not get them. The beans were delicious but the rice for both meals did not have a lot of taste, and the texture was off. Our server was fantastic and went above and beyond. The view was beautiful and there was plenty of servers and other staff. We really love the thin tortilla chips and cheesy jalapeño dip that you get for free.

Our party of 6 was pleasantly greeted by a very friendly receptionist who set the mood for our event. We had our choice for accommodations at a nice table. Christian was an excellent waiter and his personality and level of service enhanced our experience. Menu was varied and the food was very good. The gift of the Tequila holder made me want to spend my Birthday there too. Overall everyone was very pleased!!

Went with four friends on Sunday before going to the Balboa Theater.. Thanks for allowing us to make a reservation♥️ It was a beautiful view and glad the plexiglass to keep it warm. Food was great and excellent customer service ♥️

We came to Miguel’s to celebrate my mom’s birthday. I love the ambiance here and they play straight bangers. Although there was a delay with getting my mom’s order out ( because they dropped her plate in the kitchen) their service was great! Our server was great and kept checking in to see if we needed anything. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be returning!

It was ok. Had been here twice before and had outstanding meals, drinks and good service. This time the coconut marg had a funny taste, not nearly what I had remembered like the coconut mix or whatever it is had gone bad a little maybe? The fish taco was literally so boring, no flavor. And enchiladas were just semi warmed tortilla blankets for whatever was underneath. Used a birthday coupon sent BY Miguel’s themselves and the waitress was super put off. Only good parts were the ultimate margarita and the queso dip as always. Thankful they still offer that and that it’s warm. Just disappointed. The location is beautiful but probably won’t be back again.

The food was absolutely horrible. We go here all the time, maybe three times a month. Never going again on Valentines. The rice was hard as a rock. You could barely even eat it. In fact, we took a bite and left it all there on the plate. Not very happy with this experience, especially since we go there all the time I'm also a manager at a very busy hotel and hotel circle in mission valley. I refer a lot of people there like a ton. Not sure if I'm going to be doing that anymore
