Situated in the heart of Merchant City, Mharsanta brings a taste of Scotland to you. We have a passion for using seasonal, local produce from Scotland and are here to ensure our guests have the very best experience from the moment you walk through the door.

We serve a variety of Scottish food from mussels and scallops to home cooked favourites including freshly landed fish and chips and steak and sausage pie. Our resident chef Dom and his team serve an array of culinary delights to suit every taste at affordable prices.

We are open 7 days a week from 12pm and offer a Dine In, Takeaway and Home Delivery service.

Found this restaurant via trip advisor. It was value for money with good menu and nice 3 course lunch including Scottish traditional food.

Husbands meal was great, haggis cake followed by cheese burger. I had goats cheese which was s bit tasteless and beef and sausage pie, sausages were cut up so small I could hardly see them which was disappointing. Both sweets were very good. I had sticky toffee pudding and hubbie had appke pie.

service was very good food was also very good we did not appreciate the service charge so decided not to tip which we normally do

Mharsanta has an updated menu, and it is amazing! So many delicious options, we actually had a hard time deciding. We really enjoyed our whole visit, from a cheery welcome, great seats, lovely service, Tennants on tap and nice selection of wines. But the food is the star of the show! Absolutely scrumptious, particularly the Haggis Scotch Egg and Balmoral Chicken - celebrating the ingredients and flavours of Scotland!

Nice wine and great whisky collection. Our steak was cooked to perfection. Really friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

Amazing meal. Staff really friendly. We had the 3 course meal for £24 do cannot fault the value for money. Would definitely come back.

The chicken balmoral is the best I tasted also, the fish and chips delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the Scottish music made the overall ambience lovely.

When we arrived our table was ready, the server was identified by name and was very friendly. The typically Scottish food was excellent and the pace of service suited us for a relaxing afternoon with friends.

A very nice Scottish restaurant in Bell Street, well worth a visit if you haven’t already been before. The whole experience of dining there would make you want to return. I had Crofter’s Pie, and it was spot on….. my wife had fish (a decent size) and loved it too.

Excellent food and service, Cullen skink and scotch egg were very popular starters as we ate here all 3 days of our trip. Roast beef cut like butter and was very tasty.

We had a fabulous meal here. A very interesting menu with plenty to choose from. We all really enjoyed our food. The staff were excellent. They were friendly, helpful & attentive without being in your face. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Very good food, Scottish food done well, good value for money and good service. The only drawback was the music which could have been less loud. We didn't exactly have to shout at each other, but we did have to speak more loudly than was comfortable. We're there to eat good food and talk to one another, not to listen to music. The selection of draught beers was also quite disappointing. The food is good Scottish, why not the beers?

The lady was helpful on the phone as we had to change our timing due to travel plans. Brought my dad here visiting Scotland and he likes Scottish cuisine. The food was amazing, freshly cooked and extremely tasty! We were so impressed and will totally recommend It to anyone who visits. We only noticed two people working on the floor rushing around left right and centre. We were so impressed by how hard working they were and would really like to give these two a well done! We know you were busy with two big tables but from what we saw you smashed it completely. Hats off to the chef as well, phenomenal!

Staff were attentive and friendly. Food was good but balmoral chicken was a little dry. Highly recommend the haggis scotch egg. Cocktails are great and very good value. Took friends for the first time and they said they would return. Well done.
