Situated directly on the water overlooking the Hudson River, in the Battery Park section of Manhattan, diners will experience a fresh take on Mediterranean, Greek and seafood dishes created by Executive Chef Antelmo Ambrosio.
Mezze on the River boasts two outdoor dining terraces with direct Hudson River views in addition to indoor seating with floor-to-ceiling windows, giving diners an unobstructed view of the passing sailboats and yachts leaving the nearby North Cove Marina.
Featuring delicious Brunch offerings, a perfectly-crafted cocktail menu, and signature dishes like Flying Octopus and Black Squid Ink Truffle Lobster Pasta, Mezze on the River creates the perfect escape from the daily NYC grind .

The food was absolutely delicious and the drink that was suggested to us complimented our mussels and Bronzino so well! Our waiter was so sweet and gave great drink recommendations especially with the blackberry margarita! Look forward to coming back to visit!

The food presentation was excellent & the servers were quick & efficient. We loved the pita, fried zucchini and the drinks. The ribeye steak was grilled well but lacked in flavor completely. It had no seasoning which was very disappointing. We opted out of dessert because we did not want to take a chance that it would be just OK or not good at all.

Was pleasantly surprised with Mezza on the River. We originally asked for outdoor seating but it was cold when we arrived. We asked for indoor seating and they did all they could to accommodate us after a 1/2 wait. Service was great and the food was surprisingly good with a fantastic view of the river. Our guests from Italy were very impressed and loved it. Definitely a return to in the future. Kudos to the whole staff!

The food was fairly average and they closed super early where we were the only people left at the bar and it was barely 930. It was also rather cold inside

We were in NYC to celebrate my sister’s 30th birthday. Mezze on the River did not disappoint. The food and drinks were delicious! The view was just amazing! Great atmosphere and service! Everything was perfect! We can’t wait to return!

The food was just okay. The sauces for the calamari were ordinary, tastes like ketchup, and the other like mayo. Disappointing. The salmon on a skewer was a little dry. Nothing outstanding. And the baklava was dried out and not tasty. But, The view is outstanding, and the place is fun.

Food was very good. Service was good too, although at the beginning they tried to squeeze 2 of us into a table that was too tight for 2, best for one person. But they moved us to a better table when we asked. Price was a bit high overall, but portions were big, and food very tasty. My dining companion did say the baklava could use more nuts. And being gluten free, they were able to accommodate my needs, and my server was very knowledgeable about the menu. The waitstaff was attentive and efficiently packed our leftovers.

Took my husband for his birthday. The food was delicious! had the curried lamb meatballs great flavor and fried zucchini to start. Zucchini portion was huge a little big for just two people but it was tasty. For entrees we went with the roasted snapper and surf and turf special.. both very tasty. Will definitely go back … the ambience was nice too sat near the window with a nice view of the water and got an added treat of fireworks that was unexpected.. perfect for the occasion

We were there for Easter. The special, lamb shank was great and there was a lot of meat. Yum! The appetizers, main dishes (incl. lamb and fish), and dessert were superb. Pricey but not outrageous, especially considering the Hudson River view, comfortable and bright atmosphere, fantastic service and attention by ALL. Highly recommend seafood or Mediterranean-inspired fare

Gigantic portions! We shared four mezze and we easily could have fed 2-4 more people with what we ordered for 2. Lovely views and attentive service. We will return.

Lovely place river view is exceptional! Staff were attentive knowledgeable & accessible. There was a birthday party in progress & because it's such a spectacular location & good menu I'm sure it's a popular "destination" restaurant for special events & a great choice for celebrating! Hummus & fig arugula salad were very good, but snapper was overcooked. They were quite accommodating as my companion said it was too spicy & even made a fresh one without us asking - but it was still slightly overcooked. Despite this I highly recommend this restaurant just remind not to overcook if you order snapper

We went around sunset for a light dinner, and had a gorgeous view. Alex was our server. He was extremely attentive and helpful. The food was fantastic, we had the dips and pita and an amazing arugula fig salad. And a wonderful super Tuscan! I will definitely go back.

We arrived on time for our reservation and were promptly seated. We ordered a decent amount of food and enjoyed every single dish; it’s hard to point out a favorite. Also, our waiter, Alex, was great and very attentive. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

My family really enjoyed their time at Mezzo. The food was good, the service was above average, and the water views are very nice and relaxing. It was also nice and quiet.

Great Lamb chops! I just wished they had served them with mashed potatoes as the online menu suggested. We were also looking forward to the pumpkin terra miso, they no longer serve. Great pricing! Wonderful atmosphere. Not many restaurants like this one in NYC so close to the river.

As a local, a trip to the NYC waterfront is not as exciting as it might be for someone who is in town for a visit. That said, the view of the river and the Statue of Liberty was lovely. That's about it. The food was just OK and the service was dreadful. The waiter literally tossed utensils onto the table, letting them rest wherever they might land. In addition, we paid for a bottle of Moet Imperial as part of a Travelzoo offer and were told upon seating that none was cold. We were offered a cheap bottle of Prosecco (est. $12.00 retail) as an alternative. Ignorance on the part of the waiter or an effort to scam? I will never know, but it started things off in a bad direction. During the meal plates were cleared before we were finished with the food, the by-the-glass bubbly we had while we waited for our wine to chill was undrinkable (and that's saying a lot), my guest's food was partially burned, while mine was OK. Furthermore the portions of some items on the pre-paid ($179) menu were quite small. At the end of the day it was not a good deal and I won't go back. The best I can say is that the walk up the Greenway was a nice way to end a very overpriced and mediocre meal.

The restaurant was nice. The food was okay-the crispy zucchini had too much batter and barely any zucchini. The spanakopita was bland and the spicy feta and hummus were so so. I was hoping to have a better authentic experience. The service was excellent and drinks as well.

Its a little bit tricky getting there and if you are coming by car strongly recommend using a parking garage.

Great experience. Food was very high quality but was not too expensive. The drinks were very strong and flavorful, and the service was amazing. Alex was our waiter and Anthony, the manager, came over and spoke to us as well. 5 stars 100% recommend dining here!

No disappointments on food and beverages. Love the grilled octopus and branzino! Chocolate lava cake was delicious too. Only issue I have is that the table and seating space was too small and tight. Dining by the water is always a great experience.

Mezze is my favorite go-to restaurant downtown on the Hudson River. It’s the perfect place to watch the sunset on the water and has a cozy European bistro vibe. The food is consistently amazing and so is the service. The seafood is outstanding and the overall menu is balanced and well priced.

What a disappointment. The name of the restaurant would lead you to think it’s Middle Eastern, but at least for brunch, there’s little on the menu that’s Middle Eastern. There was no whole wheat bread (“delivery didn’t come in today”), the scrambled eggs “with French Fries” were cold and came with warmed-over breakfast potatoes. The shakshuka which one of our guests ordered was more like a soup than an egg casserole. The view is beautiful but that’s about the only positive thing I can say about this restaurant.
