Le Mezzaluna (ou demi lune) est un restaurant italien situé dans un bâtiment historique de Princeton datant d'environ 1908. La ville portuaire de Princeton by the Sea se trouve à 32 km au sud de San Francisco, sur l'autoroute 1. Mezza Luna is one of the finest Italian restaurants I've ever gone to. The appetizers are the best of traditional Italian appetizers, the entrees are spectacular, especially the fish! The wines are good and the desserts are fine.

Service was superb. The sauces were flavorful but subtle. The fresh branzino was cooked perfectly. On a Saturday evening, the restaurant was crowded and noisy, but not unpleasantly so.

We were sat at a table next to the restroom in the back room of the restaurant. Other tables were available. We should have asked to move but I was hoping everything else would cover for our seating location. The service was ok but we had to flag down our waiter to get drink refills after our entrees arrived. The pasta dishes were acceptable but not good or great. The fresh fish was by far the best entree and was really pretty good. Disappointing dinner given we were out to celebrate Mother’s Day with the family.

Mezza Luna has been our go-to restaurant for family celebrations for over 25 years. The food and service are top-notch and we absolutely love everything about this restaurant - from the bartender's amazingly perfect drinks, to the appetizers, homemade pastas and desserts, and especially the friendly, welcoming service. There is no place else like this on the coast!

My main problem with our visit was the table next to us. A group of 8 who were drinking A LOT and so loud we couldn't hear ourselves talk to eachother. They never let up for the entire 2 hours we were there. It was stressful and overstimulating and we couldn't wait to leave. The food was excellent and wait staff too.

This is my 4th time visiting this restaurant. We love it. Excellent, fresh seafood BUT they have steaks, spaghetti and pizza for those in the mood for something else. The service is impeccable: very attentive and thoughtful. It's a busy restaurant but not crowded. There's something for everyone here. Plus the location in Half Moon Bay is gorgeous. The Affogato dessert (2 scoops of Vanilla Gelato with a shot of espresso with whip cream) was something we'll obsess over now. Can't recommend it enough! Plus we went to Mezza Luna Caffe a few blocks away for breakfast this morning. I never knew it was there! Excellent coffee's and other drinks and a HUGE variety of pastries.

Food was good, not great, and portions very small. Mash potatoes were a very small scoop, little bigger than a golf ball. The men in my party just laughed when they saw the portions. The lamb chops were so tiny we couldn’t believe it. Staff was very nice.

The Involtini di Maiale was the special that . night and it was excellent. My wife had the lamb chops with pesto which was outstanding. Mezza Luna is a regular go-to for us because of the consistently good food and service. I highly recommend it.

Very good Italian food. Excellent service. Lamb chops are very good (taste like steak). Mezzaluna has the best meatballs. I've been making meatballs for 40 years (my mom's Italian). I was forces to up my game!

Beautiful area ,Half Moon Bay, beautiful place except the dining room where we were seated was in the back and our view was basically the parking lot even though we had said I was a birthday celebration I had hoped our table would have been the view of the water scenery. We definitely enjoyed our meal, calamari delicious appetizer

Veal piccata was very good. The Italian French bread was excellent. For dessert the chocolate lava cake was very good. They need to serve it with vanilla ice cream. We asked for some and it was an added $4 charge which I think it should be included.

Great server who answered all of our questions and made great recommendations. The support staff, like waiters and busboys were amazing. So nice and attentive and respectful!! They made the whole experience even better.

Sam’s Chowder House was booked and needed a great restaurant in Half Moon Bay to take my wife to on short notice. Enjoyed our meal and the service was fantastic!

My wife & I were visiting Half Moon Bay. We love the food at the Mezza Luna so try to get there whenever we are in town. Great Italian food, great survive.

We have gone to Mezza Luna many , many times and until tonight we have never had an issue. Tonight however, our problem was our waiter. Never poured the wine, never asked how our meal was and he was no where to be seen for almost all of our dinner. We finally asked a busboy to find him, and he finally did. What could have been a wonderful dinner turned into a bad experience which could have completely been avoided if our waiter had just done his job. Very disappointing experience.

We've been coming to Mezza Luna for at least 8-10 years and have never had a bad experience, food or service. Our first on the list of go to restaurants on the coast by far. Can't wait to go back.

Mezza Luna is always a good and fair deal. I recommend it highly. Lasagna needs a little more meat. The mushroom ravioli was perfect. Service was excellent.

We have been going to Mezza for many many years. The drive is about 60 miles so it's a event for us. Lots of locals chatting so it's a bit noisy. Great food, Great service! Highly recommend this place, Give it a try.

The fried stuffed zucchini blossom appetizer, artichoke soup, salmon entrees and tiramisu dessert were all delicious! We were disappointed that we were seated in the back of the room instead of at a table with a view when the room was not very full and window tables were available, but other than that it was lovely dining experience.

Food at Meza Luna is incredible. Every chance I get to come to half moon bay they are in the list .. sometimes more then once in a trip!
