L'établissement Zeal est un nouveau restaurant dans la zone Woodfield-Schaumburg qui sert un superbe mélange de plats italiens, de steaks, de côtelettes, de tapas et de fruits de mer. La cuisine maison utilise des produits frais et de qualité. Découvrez le chef Vince et sa façon unique de cuisiner. Le chef Vince Pecora sert de la bonne nourriture depuis 1990, pour des mariages, des fêtes privées, des événements d'entreprise et même pour le président des États-Unis et l'Air Force One. Very very good food and excellent service! All the spreads and sauces were house made and so flavorful. The lamb was cooked to perfection - I had a protein bowl for lunch. Delicious Greek wine and gelato for dessert! I will definitely be back.

Loud, very loud atmosphere, non-existent wait staff: 6PM on a Friday night, not overcrowded, but somehow the waiter assigned to our table of 6 people took 15 minutes to even greet us and take a cocktail order. Another twenty minutes before we were even handed them. And he got them wrong. We ordered our meals; we had to approach another waitress to ask for a glass of wine to go with the fish (which was overdone and dry). After dinner, we asked for decaf cappuccino. Nope. Do you serve Baclava since this is a greek oriented menu? No. Not returning to Mezzo Mediteraneo

Horrible service on Mother’s Day. Even with reservations we waited 90 min. Don’t suggest this place. The staff has no respect for other peoples time.

Well, this review is not totally correct as we didn't eat there. But we had reservations for mothers day, and it looks like they had a staff shortage. Told us they could seat us but expect 2hrs for the food. So we left.

Horrible. Avoid at all costs. Rudeness started with the hostess who ignored us for near 20 minutes (we had a reservation, party of 6) while we watched her greet her friends and seat them immediately. This was our Mother’s Day dinner and it went downhill from here. Service was horrible. We had to find our own napkins. Silverware. Bread. Butter. Plates. Many food items were unavailable (including rice!). When we repeatedly asked to see the manager we were just told she was busy. Never came by at all. When we complained to the server he just kept saying there was “nothing he could do” Or “what can I do?” For the prices they charge it was deeply insulting on multiple levels. We saw multiple other parties having the same experience across the restaurant. Please avoid this place at all costs.

We went on Mother's Day for our 6:30PM reservation. Upon check in, we could tell this place was having issues when the hostess asked if we could wait 10-15 minutes to be seated as the kitchen was behind. That turned into over 30-40 minutes of waiting, and we were only seated after complaining about the wait. At the table, we waited another 20 minutes or so without any acknowledgment from staff. We were one of several parties to leave without service.

I made a reservation here about 1 month prior to Mother’s Day for dinner. The day of the reservation we arrived at 620pm for a 630pm reservation. We were told it was going to be 20 mins and that the kitchen was having some issues. We went to the bar area and ordered drinks. The bar tender was friendly and quick, so that’s great! We were seated at 645pm. As mentioned prior, I made this reservation 1 month in advance and did not request to be seated outside. I was seated outside, which was not preferred, but decided to make light of that because it was a decent evening for weather. We sat at this table, on Mother’s Day until 730pm before deciding to leave. No server spoke to us, no one came to the table to ask about more drinks. I went to the front of the restaurant to ask for assistance and I saw an exchange between the GM (she called herself that) and a customer. Watched the GM slam some cabinet doors whist telling a customer, “there’s nothing I can do for you, I’ll get you a gift card.” After that the GM stormed into the back and said, “I need to go cook.” After that, I was not confident that my request for service would be heard and was also less confident that we would be getting served anytime soon. No eye contact from servers working with the tables around us either. We left and went through the drive thru at Portillios … for Mother’s Day 😂 super disappointed, I had dozens of places I could have made my reservation at (1 month in advance) and was definitely frustrated that this is the place I chose.

We had Mothers Day dinner reservations for 5 at 5 pm. We were seated immediately. It was crowded and hot. Shortly after the A/C came on for a short time. Our waiter came to take our appetizer and drink orders. Shortly after, they came. We had the olives, saganaki, and zucchini. All delicious. My 2 young grandchildren ordered kiddie cocktails snd he brought them soda water. Dinner didn’t come for another hour snd a half. Service was painfully slow. Our waiter had a thick accent and it was hard to understand him. He was frenzied and overwhelmed. My daughter finally went to the bar and had no trouble getting 2 kiddie cocktails. The people behind us waited 2 hours for their food and when it came- 2 entrees were cold and .2 hot. Same waiter. They got up and walked out. We. Waited and finally got our food. My husband’s meal was delayed. The food was excellent! They gave us 25% off our bill. It was still $175. Would never go there again.

I could give 0 stars I would. Our server never refilled our waters, never gave us silverware till we asked. Never even came to check on us. We waited over an hour for the Hummus we ordered. After that hour, we asked where our food was & found out our dinner ticket was "lost" in the kitchen. Another hour goes by, our food FINALLY came out and it was cold. We stood up and left without paying. There should not be issues like this happening when half the restaurant was empty, especially on Mothers Day. I understand being short staffed but waiting 2 hours for cold food should not be acceptable. Terrible restaurant and even worse service. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy.
