    My coworkers and I went after work for dinner. The atmosphere and drinks were fantastic!!

    We had the best experience today. We popped in for brunch and were lucky enough to be seated in Tracy’s section. She has a wonderful knowledge of tequila and even customized a flight based on our meal selections. What a treat! Can’t wait to do it again!!

    Wonderful experience, but just as an added note if you are planning on eating here keep in mind this location may take a bit to seat you even with reservations for time purposes.

    First time dining here and the experience was amazing! The food was beyond delicious and their tequila drinks were fabulous. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made our date night wonderful at the restaurant. Will definitely be coming back!

    Our first experience at Mexican Sugar and it was great! Loved the ambiance and all the different seating areas. We were there with our 10 & 12 year old before seeing a show at the Winspear. Got there on the earlier side on a Friday night and while there were plenty of people in the restaurant it was calm and lovely. Loved our table inside upstairs. Our server Abraham was fantastic, so helpful with great recommendations and answers to all our questions, very friendly and professional. And the food was SO delicious! Not sure how they did it but even the queso and guacamole were so tasty. I loved the shrimp tacos and carnitas tacos, and the rice is yummy. My husband loved the steak enchiladas. The prices are so reasonable for the delisious food you get! We will definitely be coming back. This is a great spot for a group dinner or girls night.

    First time as we were visiting from the Houston area. Outside area was great on this beautiful Sunday morning. We had a reservation on Open Table and were greeted with a welcoming smile. The hostess mentioned our request for a booth and walked us to a great booth overlooking the bar. Ben came over after about five minutes and let us know he would be right back to take a drink order. He came back after about five additional minutes. The guy was literally running back to the kitchen and back out to tables. Once he returned, he described a few beverage options and calmly guiding us along the brunch menu. Another staff member dropped off warm salsa and chips. Nice touch is that they brought out two baskets so we could reach the chips without stretching across the table. About five minutes later Ben showed up with water and retuned with other beverages after another five minutes. Four staff members then showed up with our food. Everything was hot and beautifully presented. The tortilla soup was a little spicy but great flavor and a well-seasoned avocado on top. The beef fajita enchiladas were also a little spicy but well presented. The carnita tacos were nice and tender. I would have likely a little more green salsa on them or on the side. The place was beautiful, and they would have received a higher score but the service at the end was lacking. I asked Ben for our check and two to-go boxes. After ten minutes I asked a manager for a to go box. After another ten minutes I asked another waiter for to go boxes. Five minutes later Ben shows up with the to go boxes and takes our payment on this mobile pad. I would highly recommend Mexican Sugar but please hire more wait staff. BTW, the bottom dining area was never more than 70% full the entire time we were there.

    Great experience at the bar tonight. Had a flight and some tacos while watching the game. Always a winner at this place
