Mother's Day brunch. Great food on fixed price special. Service was slow as the kitchen staff were overwhelmed with customers. Not a big deal as many apologies came our way even from the manager. We'll be back.

The hotel, museum, and restaurant are beautiful and unique. We were seated at exactly the time of our reservation. We all enjoyed our food so much, and we fell in love with the little potatoes you call home fries. Our server was a bit distracted and tentative (she forgot our drinks, got confused how to take my bacon back to get it cooked more without taking my whole plate), but she wasn't terrible. We were amazed at how reasonable the prices were for such a nice experience. In no small part, Metropole was responsible for helping me have one of the best Mother's Days ever!

An hour wait for bacon and eggs was disappointing. Other tables walked out. I know it’s Mothers Day but when we arrived - it was only half full. Not the same experience as a few years ago.

We were seated just before 9:45, our appetizer arrived within 10 minutes of ordering, but the rest of our food took an additional hour and 10 minutes to get there. I understand it is Mother’s Day which probably made it more busy than normal but tables with more members of their party were seated after us and for their food prior to our party receiving our meals. The waitress never cleared our table and we got one refill of coffee that had to be requested. The waitress who began our service didn’t even bring our final food or check. The food wasn’t bad, but the service and waitress not was less than desirable

Brought my mother for Mother's Day. Breakfast is her favorite meal. We ordered a la carte and it was just okay. It's hard though to judge eggs, breakfast meat and toast, especially when I can make it much cheaper at home. So, love the atmosphere and service, but this time at least, not a good value. I'll need to go for dinner to really judge and see how the new chef is.

The sweet potato pound cake dessert was delicious. For the meal we ordered the black eye peas ( too salty), roasted cabbage ( hard and difficult to eat), carrots ( were good).

I recently dined at The Metropole and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was cozy, the service impeccable, and the menu diverse. I had the filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection, and the dessert, a chocolate lava cake, was divine. Highly recommend for a delightful dining experience.

The food took a bit long to arrive but was good. Noise level was very loud, it was difficult to have a conversation. Bread should be served with the meal not as a service at a price. We have eaten therein the past and been impressed, we were disappointed this visit.

Dinner at Metropole before going to the theater was delightful. Jeremy, our server, was knowledgeable, friendly and available without hovering. The food was unique and perfectly prepared. We shared a grilled bread to start with 2 sharing oysters on the half shell and one having a delicious and light chicken liver mousse on toast. The men had pork schnitzel, lightly breaded and moist, and the women had seared scallops on a bed of cooked mustard greens with mustard seeds. The flavor combination was sweet and savory! We were served promptly, had dessert and left with plenty of time to get to a show at the Aronoff across the street!

Definitely one of Cincinnati's best restaurants! Every meal we have here is spot on perfection. With a new menu for Spring 2024, we found some new favorites (tuna tartar on crispy rice, sea scallops, pork schnitzel). We'll need to come back and explore the other new additions. Our server was attentive and timely, even on a busy night before a Broadway show. You must eat here!

We went for dinner pre-show and you could tell the service staff and back of house was strained. Our grilled bread service was burnt… it literally tasted like I had a campfire in my mouth all night. The server was curt and obviously stressed. This is the first time I’ve been underwhelmed with my experience at Metropole so I’ll definitely be back but maybe not before an Aronoff show.

Excellent food and service. We booked this to celebrate our wedding anniversary and are thrilled with the experience. We felt very welcome from the time we walked in the door and were greeted warmly by the hostess. Our server was a delight and very personable and knowledgeable. My wife has Celiac Disease and must follow a strict gluten free diet. Nikki expertly guided her through the choices available to her. We were given complimentary bubbly to help kick start our celebration and followed that with melt in your mouth grilled octopus, then delicious seared sea scallops and roasted carrots, finishing with a decadent panna cotta. Thank you Metrapole!

Such a fun restaurant, great dishes and really fun atmosphere. The waiter/waitresses all worked together to make sure I was content. Loved the pork dish and beet salad. Thank you for a nice meal. Highly recommend.

Our waitress was great. No wait for our table. Noise level was high, but that seems to be the case everywhere. Our table ordered the scallops and the haddock. Both were fine, but nothing amazing.

The food was excellent and we all had a wonderful time. The only concern was the kitchen was slow and we needed to eat all of the food ordered quickly to arrive on time for the 8pm show.

Food was excellent... Maybe they were understaffed but we did not have great service. It started with a party of 6 but only 3 menus at the table. Then we had to remind the waitress our sides were missing multiple times. The engagement was underwhelming BUT the food was great.

This is a very nice restaurant, the food is always interesting, well prepared, nicely presented and very good. The service is invariably excellent. The urban elegance and artistic tone is very appealing. The location, across from the Arnoff center makes it a fine choice for dinner before a show.

So we have been dining at Metropole for the last few months. The steak, the duck, and seafood risotto were incredible. Now they have a spring menu and a new chef and it just isn’t as good. We will try other dishes. Maybe just getting adjusted to the changes.

Excellent service from the moment we walked in the door. Our party of four really enjoyed the blistered shishitos, salmon & crispy rice and jackfruit shrimp to start. For entrees, we recommend the smoked chicken, roasted haddock and seared scallops. I really enjoyed the black eyed peas as a side. The food is elevated and the ambiance is warm and inviting.

I have been to 2 other 21c's, and there is reason I seek them out when I travel , I always know I'm going to have an awesome meal . Metropole makes it 3 for 3. We enjoyed every moment!
