Meta Restaurant in Oceanside is the supreme Long Island dining experience. It is the perfect gathering place for friends, family, or clients - everyone who appreciates great food. It has been ZAGAT Rated as one of the Best Italian Restaurants on Long Island since the doors opened in September of 2000.

Owned by Chef Roberto Bosotina, every meal at Meta is prepared with the finest quality foods, cooked to perfection and served by the friendly, knowledgeable staff. The full and extensive menu, aside from the signature daily house specialties of three oven roasted fish, succulent duck, and baby pork osso bucco, is rich in antipasti, unique salads, seafood specialties, mouth-watering meats, and delicious desserts. Chef Roberto believes that good food equals good times. And a good time is guaranteed every time you dine at Meta. Adam was a fantastic server, and everyone was extremely accommodating that I noted ahead of time that we had a baby and a stroller.

Meta is amazing. Never disappoints. Such a welcoming atmosphere with delicious food. Michele will see to any special needs which is much appreciated.

New menu with new pricing. Food a little disappointing this visit. Lobster ravioli was more of a puree than bits of lobster. Sole special was mushy. And tartufo ice cream was soft - no hard chocolate shell as generally served elsewhere. Not a fan of 3.75% credit card service fee when most restaurants are 2.99% Would recommend with some reservation

We were seated exactly where we wanted to be. I celebrated my birthday. The service was great and the food as usual was delicous.

Havent been in a while and decided to bring out of town friends here for dinner and catch up. Well worth it, we all enjoyed our meal and the staff was great. We will be back soon

Meta is a neighborhood gem in Oceanside, NY… Italian food at its best. Went this time on a Thursday so the noise level was low. Always sit next to a wall which also helps. Baked clams and Cesar salad to start. Both excellent. Then both chicken & Veal parm. Generous portions which could not be finished. Service is excellent never having to ask for water refills. Love this place.
