I have been here several times - usually the one in Clearfork — and it usually is a great experience. However this time we came to the Southlake location and they served my friend very fatty pieces of asada for his tacos. It was not very good and very disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber. We came on Mother’s Day so I understand it might have been busier than usual but he was served scraps. I don’t think we will be visiting this location again, just stick to Clearfork.

The food & service were excellent! We had a party of 13 for Mother’s Day. A variety of foods to suit everyone’s taste, excellent churros to finish off the meal & our waiter was spot on. We will definitely go back. It’s a great place when you have a large party because they take reservations. We were seated at our scheduled time…no wait…another big plus!

Service was very lackluster, we have been there many times before and service and food had always been amazing but maybe due to it being Mother’s Day nothing was great. We had a reservation and my party got sat early before I arrived once I arrived we sat down and waited 25 mins before she came back to take drink orders even after dropping off a drink to the table earlier. She took our order very annoyed and food took 40 mins and once it was delivered it was all cold, my daughter chicken nuggets were over cooked and dry as if all out food sat at the window for awhile. I will be back because of past experiences but yesterday was no good.

Our server, Jesus, was excellent; the food was plated pleasingly, and it was home style cooking with a fancy flair. Not much can be done about the noise level because everyone tries to talk over each other. Cost was good. I liked the food and service but just not my 'go to' place for tex-mex.....to each his own

Eggs were barely cooked - whites still looked like clear. The French toast was soggy in the middle. Mimosa was all champagne. Was just not a great experience overall.

Perhaps it was the server we got but this was not our best Mesero experience. He didn’t seem very familiar with the brunch menu and we had to keep showing him the menu and correcting him on what was and wasn’t included with the kids meals and different entrees. The kids meals came with “fruit” which was 3 small slices of strawberries swimming in cinnamon whipped cream. Not a great option for young kids when they are expecting….fruit. All of the entrees were fine, nothing was great. The chilaquiles was supposed to be pulled chicken but it looked and tasted like leftover fajita chicken. The French toast came “topped with cinnamon apples” but it was literally 4 small slivers of apple, one per piece of toast. The service was also EXTREMELY slow. Perhaps it was because it was Mother’s Day but getting simple things like coffee and more syrup took ages. We have always enjoyed dinner there so in future we need to stick to that.

We made a reservation for Mother’s Day. When we arrived, we were seated and given menus from which we ordered. The food itself, including my steak were mediocre. The steak was very fatty meat. But as we were getting ready to pay our bill, we noticed brunch items were coming out. That had a brunch menu the entire time and we were never given it so we had no idea! Very disappointing. We will not go back.

We dined at Mesero on Cinco de Mayo. That may have been why we had some issues. We were seated promptly at our reservation time and a server dropped off water, chips and three different salsas, and took our drink orders within 5 mins. It was at least another 15 mins before our server took our orders. Food arrived in a reasonable time. After that the server was absent, never returned to ask if we wanted more drinks or needed anything else until I managed to signal him for the dessert menu. I ordered Tres Leches (very good!). Before the dessert arrived he dropped off the check, again without asking if we were done or needed anything further. The food was well prepared and flavorful so no issues with that. The service issue may have been situational and I hope when my wife and I try Mesero again that it will be improved. As for a recommendation, I wouldn't say no or yes at this point but I'll leave it as yes since the food was good.

This is a go-to restaurant for us because the food, service, & cocktails are always excellent. This is a very well run restaurant. The location in Clear Fork is also very good for the same reasons.

We sat at the bar and had appetizers. Cocktails were good and the bar tender was fabulous, very personable and helpful. The service was great and the food was tasty! Would definitely recommend

We wanted a patio experience for a gorgeous night out. The patio was perfect. Unfortunately, the food was average at best. Not awful, but certainly not flavorful or good. We won’t return. Our drinks were good. The tres leches cake was really tasty, but would’ve preferred tasty food. Service was average. Staff seemed to be slow and inattentive, although manager was helping out. Perhaps they were short-staffed. I really hope they can get food tasting better. We need a great Mexican food place in South Lake.

We love Mesero, but went there for my daughter’s Birthday. We were seated next to the housewives of Southlake and listened to their conversation, not intentionally, all evening. No dessert offering for the birthday girl and the portions were very small, especially on the sides (beans). Disappointed.

We went on a double date. Every employee was very nice! We loved the food and our drinks were fantastic. We were seated in a great place. My only complaint was that portion sizes are small. There will be no leftovers (I usually have a good amount).

The food is always excellent! With most restaurants, I usually find one thing I order every time, but Messero has so many tasty dishes on their menu, I order different things every time and it’s always excellent. And José is the best! He always makes us feel special!

This Mexican restaurant is a gem! The food is bursting with flavor - the guacamole is a hit! The fajitas are a must-try. The cozy atmosphere and warm staff make dining here a pleasure. If you love Mexican food, this spot is a must-visit!!!

The food consistently gets better each time we go. I would have rated our visit a 5 star but our server was stretched a bit too thin. All that said we would and plan to attend this establishment again!

The four of us have been to Meseros several times. This time was a little different. The server was very nice but obviously they were understaffed. We felt a bit rushed. Not much time to think or ask questions. The food was not quite as good as usual. Mine was lukewarm although the plate was hot. My daughter said her chicken enchilada was dry and the sauce was very thick, she did not enjoy. The two margaritas we had were subpar. The regular one had no taste and my habanero one was not very spicy and had no distinct flavor especially tequila which made our decision to have no more. It was very busy but it was Friday and that was expected.

We went to Mesero for Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint. At first, the low number of diners concerned me. However, about 15 minutes into our arrival, it really started filling up. We ordered ceviche, pancakes, Mesero scramble and mimosa flights. All of the items were good. Our server, Angel, lived up to her name. She kept her ears open to what we wanted/preferred and went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic. (ex. heard the gentlemen talking about their passion for really hot salsas and she brought a variety of others from the back without us requesting them). We will certainly go back!

We made a reservation for 6 for my husband's birthday and had a great evening out! The vibe/atmosphere, service ,food and cocktails were all great! We spent a little time at the bar before we were seated and we all commented that coming back to dine at the bar would also be pleasurable. Special shout out for the Cinco Leches cake! WOW! I love Tres Leches. It is one of my favorite desserts, but I am forever spoiled by their recipe! It was perfectly moist with a hint of strawberry instead of the traditional vanilla or almond flavor. I would go for just champagne and cake!
