We had 6:15Reservations and were a little early. The Hostess sat us immediately and within moments a server brought over and informed us that our server would be by soon to take our drink order. Drinks and appetizers were ordered. We noticed that our server not only took our order and placed into the computer, but she was manning the bar as well. Despite this, she brought out our drinks and apps quickly - the bacon wrapped scallops and calamari were delicious. She gave us some time before taking our dinner order. I had the Surf and Turf Special as did one other person. Mine was perfect, while his scallops were under cooked and the rib eye was fatty - more so than typical. The Half Brick Chicken dinner was just ok - but honestly, who orders chicken at a seafood restaurant, the Cod special, the Tropical Sriracha Salmon and the Baked Cod were all very good. As for the cocktails, the espresso martinis are a must have and the Mango Lemonade were outstanding. And I cannot say enough how impressive our server was. It looked like she was filling in at the bar as well as taking care of several tables. I can't speak for the other tables, but she was continually checking with us, making sure we were well taking care of. I wish I knew her name, because she did a masterful job. We will be back! Oh, and the view of the scallop boats added a wonderful sense of where we were and is always impressive to look out at as you dine.

Cozy nautical place, good views of the water and docked boats. Food was outstanding, steak was cooked perfectly and seafood was fresh.

Overall the experience was underwhelming. Our table had not been cleaned & needed a good wipe down after seating. Silverware was dirty. The menu does not tell you that wine comes in a 6 ounce & 9 ounce glass & is not priced as such. The food was okay though lacking any flavor & coconut rice is simply white rice with strings of coconut throughout. Nothing seems to have changed since it's prior named restaurant in 2017. Wait staff was great! The bar and TV seemed the best part of Merrills. Not likely to return.

The cucumber drink needs to be taken off of the menu and the schrod was tasteless and boring. Lobster cakes, chowder and stuffed quahogs were great. Our server Rebeka was amazing !!!

Loved the whole dining experience. Our waitress was efficient and attentive. My salmon was the night's special and was delicious with a garlic cream sauce, asparagus and thin homemade potato chips. The view overlooking the fishing boats was unique.

Our food came cold. We sent it back and it was still cold. It was not busy. We both got the roast beef special. One was about a half inch thick, the othere was a quateer inch thick. We were very disappointed. We wont go back.

Boneless chicken wing starter was ok. Next time will try something different. Entrees were excellent (Scallops, Salmon, Baked Scrod). Beautiful view of the full moon rising above the harbor.

We have been to Merrill’s a few times. It was easy to make the reservation through the Open Table App. The server was very accommodating and pleasant. The food was very good. The only thing is the noise level was above average this evening which was more than the last time we dined there. We will be returning in the future.

Hailey was knowledgeable, very friendly, attentive and an overall great server! Food was very good. Ocean platter of shrimp, oysters and little necks was delicious. The broiled swordfish was fresh and cooked perfectly. The specialty drinks were almost "too" good! We will go back soon.

It was my 1st time at Merrill's and it as my mother-in-law's birthday. Brunch was outstanding as many options to choose from including breakfast items & lunch. I tried everything except for the decadent donuts & desserts! Our waitress was very attentive as she kept coming by to make sure we had enough coffee & mimosas! I'll definitely visit this restaurant again!

Service was outstanding. Food was nothing exciting ... but hot and very acceptable. We had an early reservation in order to make a show and in a "no rush" 45 minutes we were on our way.

Dinner was delicious…we sat right in front of the fireplace, which was perfect because it was so cold out! Noise level was very low & we were able to have a nice conversation without having to raise our voices. Would definitely return!

On a foggy, rainy night the staff at Merrill's (especially Jennifer!) made our dinner as warm and welcoming as possible. The steak tips in bourbon sauce were the best I ever had. My wife loved the risotto and scallops. Highly recommended

Good wine and cocktail list. Great seafood- the scallop risotto was amazing. Friendly waitstaff and the atmosphere was relaxed but refined.

The food was disappointing. It lacked flavor. Added shrimp to a pasta dish and it was just plain grilled shrimp plopped on top not mixed in with the sauce. Overall disappointed with the food especially for the price!

We enjoyed dining at Merrill’s…One entree had to be reheated but overall, the meals were very good and service was great… We will definitely return and recommend. Lucia

Went for dinner because we love their brunch. But our tiny table was very wobbly, we only ordered one during which was a pitcher of sangria which came out directly before our food did, my “medium” steak was very clearly a medium-well/well done and it’s served already sliced so they knew how it was cooked, could barely taste the truffle on the fries, green beans were very over cooked, and on top of everything the check took forever to come. Very disappointing considering how great brunch is and that they weren’t even busy. Would go back for brunch but definitely not dinner

Service was excellent. My steak tips were done to perfection. My wife’s Chicken dish she found was undercooked. Our seating request was honored and our Server’ Jordan was very attentive and timely.
