Very impressive! The menu, food, decor all vie to out do each other. There is a price to pay for excellence, but it is worth every dollar. I wish there was some way to lessen the noise, but that’s my only criticism.

First time at Meril and we had a great time. The menu is innovative, the setting is lovely, the staff was congenial and the food was delicious. The only negative is that it was do sloooow. Kitchen must’ve been behind due to some large parties, but nobody thought to tell us- we’d just waited.

We have lived and worked in the NO area for 35 years and have experienced the best culinary experiences NOLA can offer. Our lunch at Meril was exceptional. Lauren our server was knowlegable, friendly, and prompt. The food was hot and savory. The ambiance was casual but classy. I highly recommend the gumbo, flatbreads, and the Parmesan crusted chicken salad. All in all a great lunch!

Have given 5 stars for Meril, so it's hard to find anything negative to mention. I'll just say that they made a solo dinner felt very welcome. So I just ate and ate and was happy to blow my budget totally.

Other than the 30 minute wait for our table, with a reservation, we enjoyed our meal. Not traditional service, more like tapas style. Food was very good.

We started out at the bar for happy hour, the bartender was so nice we decided to stay!! Had Gumbo (nice dark roux) and the shrimp tacos and street corn! Perfect!!!

The service was very slow. We waited a long time for wait staff to take drink order, then at least 20 minutes for them to arrive. The flat breads were delicious. When main dishes were served, my husband was told that they were sold out of his. I gave him mine and shared with a friend. We ate there 2 years ago & had a very good meal, hence the return visit with 4 other couples. Fortunately, the company was fabulous so we we could have overcome pretty much anything.

Best meal of the Jazzfest visit. Creative dishes that are simply delicious. Excellent service, Kevin anticipated our every need. These people are trained well! Can't wait to return and try a different set of dishes!

It's got the Emeril's name but not the attention to flavor and ingredients that made the brand famous. We tried the crawfish flatbread, a special of the day, but not enough Crawfish on it to distinguish it from ordinary pizza. They are trying hard to provide something for everyone who walks in. Felt very touristy and loud, staff very rushed.... Most menu items were too generic for our palates. Did like the Boudin sausage balls.

Went for dinner since it was highly recommended. Service was quite good for the first 20 min. After the place started getting full, service decreased proportionally and we could not get someone near out table to help us. We ordered appetizers which were good but after about 25-30 minutes after we finished our appetizers we inquired about our entree, softshell crabs; and only then they told us then they were out of softshell crab.. by then it was too late for us to order anything else..

If you're in New Orleans, save your time and your money and eat anywhere but here. We were regulars at Meril two years ago and were visiting for Jazz Fest so of course this was on our food list! The quality of food is nothing like before. The food is certainly not worth the menu prices. I ordered a seasonal strawberry salad ($18/acceptable) and asked for chicken- firstly, I am aware that protein is an up charge however $12 for chicken that was doused in salt and panko crumbs to be seared in a pan is 1. Not fried chicken & 2. Unreasonably priced. If this was the best chicken I'd ever had then fine, $12 would have been no deal but when I say a kids cuisine frozen nugget is better, listen! After expressing that I didn't like the chicken and visibly didn't eat but a single bite- it was not offered to be removed from the check. The French fries tasted like they had been fried and reheated! Y'all know that taste! Most were soggy and nearly raw. The burgers cheese was delicious but the gristles kept throwing me off. We were given cotton candy to make up for my $30 salad- While this was a nice gesture and I'm grateful, we are adults. Thankfully we had several other great experiences in Nola but are disappointed to leave with this being our last dinner in town.

Meril is an amazing choice for those who want a little higher end meal than Bourbon Street but don't want to break the bank. There is a wide variety of food and beverage options. Staff are prompt and friendly, making the experience enjoyable, not rushed and comfortable.

I have eaten @ several EL restaurants & was excited for Meril. The menus is varied, has different choices appealing to a lot of taste. Our waiter Craig was unwelcoming & rarely checked on us. Would have turned the table faster if he paid attention. Made no suggestions when asked. We just sat down he introduced himself and asked our drink orders. Maybe give us a minute to look. Came back & asked for drink & app orders. He was frustrated or flustered when one asked to skip simple syrup in a cocktail. Then ordered just as is due to his attitude, never ordered another. Had to ask for a wine list. Had questions about the apps. We are a table of 4. Make suggestions. We stated we wanted to share. He was disinterested. One of my guests asked if something was spicy because Jalapeños were a component. He stated no, it was herbaceous. Odd description. We ordered sparkling water. We wanted to make sure it wasn't flavored. He laughed because he never heard that before. We then reminded him to bring it twice. Our water glasses were empty and when the gentleman came to fill the water glasses he told them not to. We didnt say we didn't want flat water. Craig decided that. He made no suggestion as to what to accompany the piri piri. Had to ask for desert menus & had to ask to order. Never checked how drinks, apps, meal or desert was. Never offered coffee or after dinner drinks. We would have ordered a second botle of wine...but he NEVER checked on us. Then we asked him to take a picture of us at our table. He laughed & took at least 40 of the worst pics I have ever seen. I think he just laid on the shutter button. I am appalled at the horrible service. Isaac was also caring for us. He was amazing, seemed to be a busser or server. He made more suggestions & paid us more attention. I tipped Craig. It would have been more. I also tipped Isaac. I found it interesting that Craig backhanded insulted me in front of who I assume was a manager. She said or did nothing. Very disappointing
