Nestled in the heart of downtown Asheville, decorated with carvings, and statues imported from India. Mëhfil brings you authentic Indian food in a beautifully relaxed atmosphere.
Come enjoy a casual meal with friends or a celebration with your loved ones. Either way, you'll be taken care of by our knowledgeable and friendly team. We take pride in what we serve and how we serve it - Good Food and Great Service. We also offer takeout, delivery, catering and in Jul 2023 we have added Mow, Mehfil on Wheels, a food truck serving Mehfil food. Mow is a regular at the local breweries and can even come in to your neighborhood. Our signature dishes include the lamb chops, goat curry, deluxe mixed grill-an assortment of lamb and chicken seekh kebab, tandoori shrimp and lamb chops. No one does the tandoor as good us and our awards are testimony to that.

Came here for our first wedding anniversary. The food was delicious, everything was clean and we had a beautiful table. My only complaint was how our server treated us after neither me or my husband wanted to order an alcoholic drink.

Absolutely wonderful food. I studied South Indian food for 10 years with a woman from Bangalore, so I know the cuisine. And this was spot on. The spices were perfect and my shrimp dish was cooked to perfection. It's rare to see an Indian dish in America that uses Curry leaves, so I was thrilled. Truly authentic. I would definitely go back!

The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the value was exceptional. The quarters were a little cozy. We felt like we were sitting with the table next to us, and the music, while likely authentic, was not my favorite. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! If you live in Ashville or are visiting, delicious Indian food is waiting!

Perfect meal for our Saturday dinner while staying in Asheville! The food was excellent with preferred spice levels. Great attention to food allergies.

This restaurant is SO GOOD! There are lots of menu options for any diet (vegan, vegetarian, etc.). Everyone in our party found something they loved. My fav is the Tikka Masala! We also got Butter Chicken, Shrimp Biriyani, and Vegetable Tandoori. Don’t skip out on the garlic naan! The staff is always friendly, and the prices are affordable (especially if you can make it for the lunch buffet!) Definitely check this place out!

Both the service and food were amazing! We had samosas, tandoori chicken, goan fish, and of course some naan. The tandoori chicken was the best I’ve ever tasted and my husband was really excited to see goan fish on the menu. Our server was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
