Authentic northern India cuisine, fresh and tasty - veggies were crisp, not limp, tandoori chicken was moist, briyani was flavorful and had a lot of protein in it. Service was excellent. This is now my go-to Indian restaurant.

I went to Mehak for the first time several months ago and it was such a lovely experience that I want to return again and again. It’s now on my weekly rotation!! The food is exquisitely prepared and absolutely delicious. The flavors are vibrant and you can dial up or down the spice levels. The service is impeccable. Great cocktails and wine list. I absolutely love this place!! Take out is great too!!

Wonderful wonderful evening - food was delicious- service was excellent - ambience is beautiful and we enjoyed the fact that we could hear eachother during dinner. Highly recommend - we dined with our family- three generations very memorable. Thank you!

This was the worst Denver dining experience we have ever had. We went with friends for Restaurant Week. We thought we were going to be given a Restaurant Week menu when we arrived, but were told we could just order an appetizer, entree and dessert from the menu ($35 each were the announced Restaurant Week prices-but this did NOT end up being what we were charged). After we ordered drinks, we ordered 4 appetizers. All 4 came to the table timed very far apart. We waited at least 45 min from when 1st to last appetizer arrived. They also brought out an appetizer we had not ordered- we sent it back. After we had left the restaurant, I realized we had been charged for the appetizer we sent back (as well as a chutney which we HAD ordered, but never received). 2 of us ordered Dahl Soup. There were absolutely no lentils in this soup, just broth. Very strange. The entrees and desserts were just "OK", nothing at all to write home about. And when we ordered one entree as spicy, it did not come out of the kitchen as spicy. It was mild at best. We ended up sitting in that restaurant for over 3 hrs because the service was so very poor. Water glasses were never filled, dirty dishes were not taken away. And then the bill was incorrect. Our waitress did not seem to understand the billing AT ALL, so I gave up and decided to get it cleared up later. A few days later I emailed the restaurant. After at least 3 emails, they agreed to give us a very tiny refund of $16 (it did not even cover the cost of items we were charged for, but never received). This was an EXTREMELY frustrating experience. We spent well over $200 for the 4 of us. I expected WAY better food, service and ambience (the place is brightly lit and loud when there are a lot of people there). Our friends traveled from Boulder County to meet us here, and I felt badly that the meal experience was so poor. Run, don't walk, away from this restaurant. There are MUCH better choices in Denver).

Mehak's is probably the best Indian restaurant in Denver and among the best in the country. Familiar dishes like chicken tikka masala & biryanis are fabulous and portions are very generous -- difficult to eat it all in one sitting leaving leftovers to take home. Value for money is excellent and service is friendly. Don't miss Mehak's if you like Indian food.
