Meet the Meat is a steakhouse located in the heart of Astoria. Using the finest quality meats we prepare a variety of cuts such as filet mignon, porter house, ribeye , prime sirloin, and sliced steak. Our specialty is steaks, but we also serve a selection of other fine dishes such as lamb chops, grilled chicken breast, salmon, branzino, as well as burgers and pasta options.

A++++ food , service , a hidden GEM - we will return !!! Easy for Mets games / US Open before or after games. Easy on street parking . HIGHLY recommend. The filet was so butter tender did not need any sauce ( and I lobe sauces ) and mashed potatoes were so light and creamy. Best key lime pie of my life, yummy cocktails.

The porter house for two was excellent as were all the sides , especially the truffle fries . Great drinks too! And wonderful service .

We have been going to MtM for years, and it never disappoints. On this occasion, we were a party of 8 celebrating a birthday. Adnan (owner) and his staff were accommodating and attentive. And the steak (as always) was first rate. Highly recommend the smoked salmon as an appetizer.

First time at Meet the Meat. Was a Sunday early evening and few people there but within 30-45 minutes almost filled up. Only one waiter/bartender who did his best but eventually owner had to help out. Bread was semi-toasted and not warm at all. Butter came in packets rather than dish. Had caesar salad that was good but something seemed a bit off in the dressing (maybe some ingredient that they use that I don't normally taste in caesar salad?). Large enough to share. Ordered ribeye and onion rings. Onion rings were done right but were very thin so seemed like biting into the coating alone. Steak was requested medium rare and other than a small section that was a bit thinner than the rest of the steak and more medium it was medium rare. Certainly enough to share for the two of us but one large person could finish it. Didn't order dessert but owner gave us a complimentary piece of tiramisu which was good but a bit different than what is normally served at an Italian restaurant.
