Meat On Ocean is a meat-centric, modern steakhouse in Santa Monica that offers both a sense of adventure and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Beyond the offerings of a world-class steakhouse, Meat On Ocean features an artisanal charcuterie bar, an exhibition dry-aging room and a variety of prime beef – from dry-aged domestic cuts to Japanese A-5. Integral to the operation is a highly trained crew of servers and butchers, who communicate directly with Guests about the beef, organically farmed chickens, house made sausages, choice seafood and more.

Located on the corner of Ocean and Broadway, Meat On Ocean is steps from the action - including the Santa Monica Pier, shopping and hotels.

Starting May 2024, Meat On Ocean is also your headquarters for private dining and events, with customizable spaces that are perfect for social events, corporate meetings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, wedding receptions and ceremonies, with full audio/visual connectivity.

Noise was just too loud, partly because of the loud music which made everyone shout. Waiter could not even hear us order, and I guess that made him miss the ice cream that we ordered. Crème brûlée was very disappointing as it is NOT a crème brûlée, very disappointing.

I order a med rib eye I got a rare steak My girl order salmon it was still raw and cooked with the skin it was terrible

We were not finished with our salads and appetizers when the main courses arrived. The server was shocked to see them served at that time. Of the 3 steaks that were ordered, 2 were as requested. The porterhouse steak that was ordered RARE, arrived MEDIUM. One diner ordered chicken and it was inedible. The chicken was more like jerky. The server was amazing and told us the Manager would stop by. It's a day later and we are still waiting. I had high hopes for this restaurant and left very disappointed after spending a significant amount of money.

Always love our experience at MEAT. The food is consistently fantastic and just love the entire experience, including cocktails, service, ambiance, etc. Special thanks to our server Logan who was just fabulous, with both service and suggestions!

Everything was great, the meat, oysters, fries and salad. Service was exceptional with the exception of the manager. The area that felt short for me was the price tag. I felt everything was 20% overpriced which I would have had no problem with if the overall experience would have been elevated. Instead the location offers a classic generic steakhouse look with classic plate serving from the kitchen. For this price range I would have at least expect some culinary experience at the table or an extra touch that would have left an lasting impression on me and my guest. It's a good restaurant! It's not a great restaurant. It's not a restaurant I would go back to or recommend to anyone. But we did have a good time and enjoyed the service.

Drinks and the charcuterie bar were delicious! Staff members were super friendly, multiple of them wished me a happy birthday which showed they were personable!!

Not for us. Sea bass smelled bad and tasted bad. Our server seemed bothered. All other servers were great and welcoming.
