Your adventure at Meadow Vue Ranch begins between 6:15 and 6:45 pm on a Wednesday or Saturday night. The first item of business is checking in at the cook shack you will get your tickets and pay for the rodeo and dinner. After checking in it is great time to go pick a seat next to the rodeo arena so that you can see all the action that is about to happen. 7 pm the rodeo begins with the presentation of the flag and the national anthem. There is something special about the national anthem at a rodeo. The action shifts to the mounted drill the children that are participating in our summer camp. The kids get to show all of the skills that they have learned over the past week. It is about to get western as it is time to check out the action down at the bucking shoots where we have bull riding, saddle bronc riding, and bareback riding. We bring in cowboys & cowgirls from all of the West Yellowstone area to come compete at our rodeos.

It was an awesome evening all around. Getting to watch what the children learned during the riding camp for the rodeo was wonderful. What the ranch does as a nonprofit organization to let children learn to ride is exactly what children need these days. The dinner was great and the entertainment for the evening “Fall River Boys” was a great ending to the night. Definitely recommend it and will go again when we’re in the area.

This was a great experience. The rodeo was a great addition to the meal. To see young kids perform on horses and know that your helping support them in a small way makes you feel good. The location was beautiful and I sat there in awe of the scenery. The party of 4 that came with felt the same way.

The rodeo and dutch oven dinner were fantastic!! My whole family and I enjoyed it!

We had a wonderful time at the Meadow Vue Ranch. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the whole experience was fun. The children at the horse camp do part of the rodeo show and then some real Cowboys ride the bucking horses in the show. The dinner is after the show and you all lineup and they serve a full dinner cooked over the campfire and the Dutch ovens. The food was great and the wood fired steaks were all cooked perfectly for us. Portions were large and everybody enjoyed the meal and the experience. They had a band playing live music and the whole experience was great for our family of seven spanning 3 generations! The proceeds also help keep the camp running and help provide scholarships for kids that may not be able to afford the experience. If you are going to island park the Meadow Vie Ranch Rodeo night should not be missed !

We throughly enjoyed the rodeo and dinner! The dinner was delicious, servings were generous, the view beautiful and staff were wonderful! We will definitely go again if ever back in the area.

Highly recommend this venue. Great food, entertainment and beautiful scenery! Learning this is benefiting the horse camp kids was an extra bonus!

If you have a child that attends their summer horse camp, I bet it's really cute. If you are a member of the general public and think you're going to see some rodeo stuff, do not bother. It's basically showing what the kids have learned by the 3rd day of camp. The pace of the "rodeo" was sooo slow. I wanted to leave halfway through but was on the wrong side of the arena and was essentially trapped there with the crowd of mosquitoes. Dinner didn't start until after 8:00 so we were hungry . Dinner beforehand would be a much better idea. Letting the public know it's mostly a kid show is an even better idea. My daughter and I asked for well done steak (I know, I know) but it was too pink to eat. Any time of year in Island Park after 8PM is cold, so the outdoor dinner was a little rough. The potatoes we got were burned and the chocolate cobbler was raw. The location was beautiful and the staff was friendly but I won't be a return customer.

Sorry you felt that way we would have been happy to refunded your money. It's cholate lava cobbler so it is supposed to be gooey but if it was undercooked I apologize. We clearly state dinner is after 8. We do this to accommodate most of the rough stock riders that don't live in IP and have to travel here (there were 12 bucking horses that night btw). It is clear on our website what is in the rodeo if they didn't say it on the phone sorry. nothing we can do about the weather.
