We are a neighbourhood bar & restaurant serving up sumptuous food, delicious cocktails, and a whole lot of love.

Last bookings for food are at 8.45pm, later bookings will only be for drinks.

Our food took too long to come, when it did it was all cold and the portion sizes were very small. We were also seated upstairs where there was no atmosphere. The staff understood the situation and were very accommodating when we had to make a complaint.

Great service.. booked a table for 5 but ended up being 6 of us and they were so accommodating of this and swapped us a table for 6 with no issues. Great service and our server was so lovely.

First class wine and dine evening with New Zealand theme. Food was outstanding and very reasonable portion size for 5 courses. Matching wines were excellent & interesting to taste different types. Hopefully they keep these themed nights going as very good value at £50 per head.

Booked a large both as bringing a dog - but the last both was given to someone in front of us in the door queue who had not booked. Limited menu and food not particularly warm - noticed some other diners sending their plates back.

Excellent service from entering to leaving. Attentive and friendly staff. I ordered featherblade steak which I realise is a cheaper cut but this was particularly tough. Didn't complain as I realise this is cheaper cut but don't think it should be as tough?

Disappointed on the lack of kids options without dairy. My little one wanted the pancakes but was told the mix was already made with buttermilk, surely they could have made a small pancake mix with a milk alternative, it was also her 3rd birthday which is why we went out for lunch so not great.

Attended on a Sunday morning for brunch. Was fairly quiet with only a couple of tables waiting to be served when we arrived. I went for the vegan breakfast and my friend for the vegetarian, it sadly was just really average. Not much flavour. Our first cocktail took almost an hour to arrive, every one after that took at least 30 minutes. The staff were all lovely but I don’t think we’d be in a rush to return.

We went for an early brunch. It was ok. Nice Brunch menu with a good choice of food. Service was good (up until we ordered a mock tail then never got it after half an hour and then had to leave!) Food was nice we enjoyed. Would go back.

We were given a very warm welcome and the service was attentive and quick up until making our order. After this we had to signal each time for help, for milk for the tea and for butter for the toast, neither which were offered automatically. The food was ok but not exceptional. Staff were overall very nice but the level of service and quality of food was slightly substandard for such a nice place.

After seeing the recent negative reviews I wanted to post a positive one! We arrived early but were seated straight away, with menus and drink orders also very quick. The food was absolutely delicious. My only negative is that the food did arrive before my drink, but I think it was just an oversight and my drink was forgotten, once reminded it was over straight away!

Really poor, booked at 4.30 on Mother’s Day. Had to ask for menus, then had to ask to order. Food arrived about an hour and 30mins later and was cold. Fish cold, roast dinners were very dry and cold, gravy cold to touch and very runny. Clearly staffing issues as other tables also had issues. Looked like a manager walked through at one point and said to a colleague “I’m f*king fuming!” Not great with kids around. Feel for the waiter and waitresses who were very good but clearly other issues. Shame as we were looking forward to it!

Living locally to Mclarens, we use it often. This was unfortunately the poorest experience we've had. There was only 3 of us. My wife, 6 year old son and myself. Our son had finished his meal before we had our starters. Our starter was bread and Baba Ganoush which was more like lemon curd mixed through humous. The main course was a shared steak bavette which was reasonable but the veg and accompaniments were cooked to death. Followed by our desert, also served shared, which was described on the menu as a chefs special mystery....i have my suspicions that it might have been an attempt at a deconstructed cheesecake, but was more like a mouse with biscuit scattered on the side. After a few back and forth' with waiters for our drinks orders and our sons desert order we finally came to the end of our meal almost 3hours after arriving. We got our bill for £105, before we even said anything the waiter apologised for the experience and that he had just started at 5pm and came into absolute carnage....

Overall quite a poor experience. Slow to bring menus (had to ask), slow to take drinks orders (had to ask) and slow to bring food (arrived one hour and ten minutes after arriving. We were then reminded one hour and 45 mins in that we were approaching our two hour window and would need to vacate, which is absolutely fine under normal circumstances, but not when you’ve had c30 mins to eat your food, maybe get another drink etc. Food was fine, fairly standard and certainly not standout. The restaurant took 25% off our bill. In an area populated by lots of good and varied places to eat I certainly wouldn’t recommend.

Excellent as always . Staff well trained in all aspects.Food amazing. We came for lunch and to watch rugby told no seats downstairs but thankfully a cancellation allowed us seats with a great view of the big screen. Staff did everything they could for us. Suggestion- maybe on big sporting event days have a screen available upstairs as soon as rugby started everybody moved downstairs to watch.

This is the 3rd time we have eaten here - the staff are lovely & their friendliness makes it a great experience. I was celebrating a birthday and was treated to a glass of fizz and a lovely desert. The food was tasty and well presented. My one, and only, little niggle was that it was a wee bit draughty [the big outside door is always kept open] - but it did not spoil our overall enjoyment. We will definitely be back.

Although the food was good, the service was quite poor. It may have been the time of day (4:30pm) but although there were staff, we felt ignored. It took a long time to take our order, our drinks we could see were sitting on the bar for ages and it was even difficult to attract attention to get the bill. Not the best experience 🙁

Had brunch with my family - everyone had excellent food. The staff were excellent. Especially with my son who was able to use the orange juice machine for some extremely fresh orange juice. Great service and value. Food was brilliant. Well done

We went here for dinner. 2 adults and a child. It’s a lovely restaurant with great quirky pictures and things on the wall which my grandson loved. The menu was varied. My son had prawn cocktail followed by steak pie and they looked delicious. I’ve never seen my grandson eat so much. He enjoyed his burger and chips and said the roll was different and he really liked it. I had the gif which was delicious and I only marked the food down a bit as the samphire was a bit stodgy. Desserts were great. Waitress encouraged my grandson to design his own ice cream sundae and he ate every morsel. Staff were really nice, professional, friendly and attentive

Great staff team, lovely food, nothing was too much trouble. We have eaten here before, and will certainly be back.

Been plenty times before, and never had any issues , however this time our waiter didn’t even have a smile , seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Due to it being in the morning however , I’ll just assume he was tired. This will not stop me going again as normally the team are really welcoming and it great.
