Really disappointing experience on Mother’s Day. Received wine after meal was delivered, one dessert delivered/the other forgotten, etc. I suppose they were overstretched due to holiday…been here 20 times, but will need to choose amongst the dozen other high-end steakhouses near Perimeter Mall, as this trip was very disappointing.

Visited Mothersday 2024 at noon. The hostess was not welcoming on our arrival. As a matter of fact ,said nothing after I told her that we had a reservation. She took us to our table. The waiter was not cordial. I had to wave him down to take our drink order. After delivering our drinks he asked for our food orders. He made zero eye contact when taking the orders. He also impolitely asked me to hand him the menus after everyone ordered. The onion rings were bready and not tasty. My filet was overly salted. This is a very expensive restaurant with poor service and hospitality .

Another perfect evening at McKendricks! Warmly greeted by Brian, Carol and Paul. Even Mark came over to say hello. Paul’s recommendation of the soft shell crab was spot on, delicious! Bone-in Ribeye (for 2) was a real treat. Thanks for making this a special evening!

Classic and elegant. Service was flawless. Food was delicious. The place was not very full on the day we went. We have been there multiple times over the years and it’s been more lively. It’s a more mature crowd at this restaurant.

great steaks as always. Service and waiter outstanding. Only rub, was the side of potatoes au gratin were too mushy. Otherwise, a great night and dinner to celebrate my son's college graduation. Kudo's to our waiter for the great cake and suggesting that he take pics of the party. thank you!

The thing I love most about this exquisite restaurant is how unpretentious it is, especially for a top-notch steakhouse! The service is always spot-on, and our last visit was no exception (ask for the awesome Mark Dobson if you want a special experience). The steaks are consistently cooked to perfection (be sure to get the truffle better if you want it extra perfect), and if you're a fish lover like myself, the Seabass is spectacular. The sides are diverse and delish, and there are plenty of fantastic ones to choose from. We were graciously served a scrumptious chocolate cake with buttercream frosting as we were celebrating a special occasion, and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for a classic steakhouse with a modern twist, fabulous food, and the best service, look no further than McKendrick's.

Had to send steaks back 3 times to get them medium. Two other friends sent their steaks back 3 times too. Other than the above, wonderful night!

This was a return trip after many years. mcKendricks was once considered my favorite steak in all Atlanta. It was still good. Service was a bit slow and wasn’t the best quality as once experienced. Nice night out but lacked the quality and professionalism experienced in previous trips.

It was pretty good. The restaurant was clean. Food pretty good. Waiter didn’t really act like he knew what to do with 5 women at the table. After we told him we were paying, he presented the check in the middle of the table… The bartender was awesome!!

We had a delicious lunch and excellent service! I enjoyed the onion soup and then grilled salmon, with roasted okra! this was my first time having lunch at McKendrick’s and look forward to dining there again soon! Great atmosphere!

Looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion? Look no further! Recently, I took my two sons and their lovely wives out for a night to toast a new job and new business venture. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for catching up and sharing stories. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. But the true star of the evening was the food. The filet was cooked to perfection and the tag Leap wine wasn’t overpriced. Overall, I can't recommend McKendricks highly enough. It's the perfect place for a special occasion or just a delightful evening out and we really enjoyed taking my kids out for truly fine dining!

Was seated on time for 6:45 reservation. Ordered promptly, including appetizers, and everything, appetizers and entrees, were served at the same time, within 10 minutes of ordering. Way too fast, didn't even have time to enjoy a glass of wine and my date's cocktail before a full delivery of food was on the table. I don't know if they wanted to turn the table another time that evening or not, and if that was the reason for the "hurry up," but dinner was rushed, and therefore not particularly enjoyable. Pace yourselves, folks....

Upon arrival, we were greeted unwelcoming. The hostess confused the other half of our party that hadn't arrived yet with a party that they didn't allow in for dress code. That was quite embarrassing as it had nothing to do with our party. We had a reservation for 8:15pm, and they close at 10pm which should be plenty of time for our party of 5 to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. Upon ordering our appetizers we were asked about our entrees. We asked to wait until we had apps and were told the kitchen is closing so you'll have to put in for your entrees now. Our entire party was overall unsatisfied with the food. The calamari was good, salads were okay, but the steaks, oysters and fish entrée were mediocre. The au gratin potatoes were as though they had been sitting in the dish for hours before being served to us. Our bill was split into two (one for three of us and the other for two of us), and was completely inaccurate (not just one or two things on the wrong bill) so we had him adjust it. The adjusted bill was still incorrect but we let it go and didn't say anything. I have dined with McKendrick's about 10 times over the past 12 years since being local and will say it was such a disappointment that it will most likely be the last visit.
