Second team server tonite, not up to Javier level yet. Work on timing, don’t bring salads before we finish our appetizer, being bread before the entree. For the cook, cooked thru might not be how you like scallops, but it’s what I asked for (didn’t get).

since it was mother's day, the menu was not the usual menu. unfortunately, there were no non-seafood or red meat options. my wife ordered the seafood linguini with seafood on the side (so i could at least eat the seafood). didn't receive seafood on the side, yet was charged the same. salads and desserts must have been sitting out for some time since they were both very warm when served. my son's chicken strips never came, and they just simply didn't charge us but no apologies. we all scraped food together for my son's meal instead.

I don't know if it was because of where we were seated, but the service was quite haphazard. Not normally what we get at this restaurant. It took probably 10-15 minutes to get water at the table. Our soups and salad took a long time and then were delivered about two minutes before our entrees. The food was excellent, but as I said, maybe because of where we were we became a bit of an afterthought. And it didn't seem to be completely full or busy, but perhaps the staffing level may have needed to be a little higher.

We had a great server. It was really busy on Mother’s Day so we had to ask for bread for the table. But overall it was a good experience. Mom loved it!!

I was extremely disappointed in my experience here on Mother’s Day. I had a reservation at 1:45 for the Mother’s Day experience and I arrived on time, but was told there would be a slight weight while my table was being prepared. This turned into 40 minutes and my party did not, get seated until nearly an hour after my reservation time, the service was very slow. My mom was extremely displeased with the “mothers day special”/cocktail that she ordered it looked nothing like the picture and the presentation overall was terrible. Our food was extremely bland and following this I don’t know that I would come back, which is disappointing.

We were there to celebrate my birthday and mothers day. we started off at the bar while waiting on our table. The bartender Geoff was amazing. My husband ordered a Sazerac. Geoff made it to perfections. As we watched him he made if correctly as if we were in New Orleans. Once we were at our table it took a while before anyone came. Marissa came by our table and ask had anyone helped us yet and we said no. She the took our food order and we order another set of drinks. A good 40 minutes came by and Marissa stated "your food has not come out, I will have to just grab one". Mind you this is mothers day and they had a select group of items to order from. At some point our drinks had not arrived and Geoff (the bartender) who knew who ordered the Sazerac came to our table with the drink. Great save Geoff, my husband was becoming unhappy with the service. My husbands steak dinner came out first. they tried to give me a Halibut, but I didn't order Halibut. So after another 15 minutes my Scallops came out. I was very disappointed in the meal. Risotto is not supposed to be runny or tasteless. My husbands steak was salty. The who process was like being in a factory. I know it was Mothers Day and they were busy, but for $50.00 per person I expected better food. Lastly we had a Visa $50.00 gift card, that before we arrived I confirmed the $50.00 was on the card. They could not use it for some reason. I knew the card worked because after dinner we used it to get gas. We were very disappointed and I will not be returning to this restaurant. Geoff was your saving grace on the Service part.

Mother's Day--I appreciate that it was busy. BUT, my scallops were undercooked--translucent, and gritty--as though they were not washed. Our server came to our table so seldomly, that everyone else had finished their entrees before I was able to bring to her attention that mine was inedible. And on that point, there was way too much time between courses. I do not plan to eat there again.

Food was awful from the fishy mussels and oysters, the over cooked fish and chips to the vinegar smelling butter cake. The service was ok. She wasn’t around much and seemed put out by us. The host who sat us was a delight. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Food was outstanding. The three of us enjoyed seafood that was prepared properly, delivered promptly, and enjoyed slowly. Service was superb up to dessert when the number of departing guests seemed to overwhelm the staff. This night, the restaurant was a bit loud possibly due to a young crowd celebrating prom night or the end of the school year. Would we go to McCormick and Schmidt’s again? Absolutely! We can endorse M&S, based on our experience, without hesitation.

My experience at McCormick & Schmick's in Edina was decent but failed to leave a lasting impression. The Crispy Asian Calamari appetizer showcased commendable execution, with the calamari boasting a delightfully crisp exterior and tender interior. However, the sweet and spicy glaze lacked depth, relying too heavily on sugary notes that overpowered the other flavors. The Thai chilies and green onions provided a much-needed contrast but were unfortunately sparse. The Hearts of Romaine Caesar salad was a classic rendition, albeit uninspired. The romaine was fresh, and the dressing carried a pleasant tanginess, but the overall dish lacked any distinctive elements to set it apart from countless other Caesar salads. The New England Clam Chowder, a staple of the menu, was satisfactory but not exceptional. The broth had a rich, creamy texture, but the clam flavor was muted, failing to truly shine through. Additionally, the portion sizes for both the cup and bowl were modest for the price point. The service was efficient, with attentive staff ensuring a smooth dining experience. However, the lack of an IPA draft beer option was a disappointment, particularly for an establishment of this caliber. While McCormick & Schmick's offered a serviceable meal, it failed to captivate or leave a lasting impression. For diners seeking a truly remarkable culinary experience, the nearby Galleria may offer more compelling options, showcasing the vibrant dining scene that the Minneapolis-St. Paul area has to offer. In summary, McCormick & Schmick's in Edina delivered a competent but forgettable dining experience.

We very much appreciate the prices at M&S! This is a place we believe we can come to for good food at a reasonable price! The drinks too are priced competitively and there are plenty of bottles of wine that are good and a good value unlike just about everywhere else. We will most definitely return! The only catch, don't charge for a loyalty program. No other restaurant does this and we did not sign up.

The portions are smaller than they used to be. A bit of shrinkflation. Having said that, the food was excellent, and to be honest, the smaller serving size allowed me to feel fully satisfied.

The food was good overall. The potato soup excellent. The service spectacular. Even with some renovation happening, the noise was kept to a minimum. This reflects some really good management. This has become a new go to place for me.

I've been to McCormicks a few times and this was a very disappointing meal. Our hamburgers were all well (well...) done, (two of the three were to be medium well). My substitution for the french fries did not come with my meal and I had to wait a long time to get it. And, then I was charged for it. It was my sister's birthday and her free ice cream cake was not given as a special thing, but just dropped off at the table by a younger employee, along with the other dishes of ice cream ordered for the two girls with us. Our server was nice but not on her A game that day; we feel for her but the typical experience at McCormicks was not happening yesterday.

Half my group had amazing food (tuna!), the other half said their salmon was a little fishy. M&S is currently remodeling and the seating is being updated, we asked to be moved to a better spot, but still had a direct view into the kitchen. Great service though and a nicely varied menu with options for kids.

It took a while to be seated and to be helped. But the waiter was nice to apologize for the delay and did an amazing job throughout the night. The steak was good. And the crème brûlée was the best we have ever har compared to other restaurants we’ve been to.

Friday night at M&S was pretty busy, yet I felt our server Garrett was still very attentive, humorous and helpful. Even though he had at least five tables around us, I never felt ignored. The Johnny Shuck oysters were great with a nice choice of condiments. I had the seared Ahi tuna entree while my wife had the scallops - fantastic! The entire night was enjoyable, like a night out with friends!

The touch of personalization of Happy Anniversary on the menus, nice touch. Service was good, not great. Food was only ok. Lobster mashed potato is just lobster bisque over the mash. Steak was only avg, not worth the near $50 in either taste or size 13oz. Stuffed salmon adequate.
