MB Grille opened its doors in Riverside, California in 1989. It is a moderately priced, full-service restaurant and is famous for its fresh fish and Chef-inspired Specialty seafood dishes. MB Grill is renowned for friendly, polished-casual service, outstanding value, and superior quality food products.

Key to its presentation is the fresh fish market, where all fish being served is on display. In addition, up to a dozen fresh fish are offered daily, entrees of fresh chicken or aged beef as well as signature salads and pastas are offered. Our Master sushi chef has also created a variety of classic sushi rolls, along with our fresh oyster bar selections.

The food is flavorful and portions are generous. The “famous” sourdough bread is served warm at your table as a start to every meal. Our restaurant features a Full Bar, offering a wide selection of spirits to enhance your dining experience.

30+ minutes after reservation for seating. waiters kept being switched throughout meal leading to utensils and small request being forgotten. food was okay but felt like it could have been cooked more

It was an awesome experience, and our server was outstanding, however, because it was Mother’s Day holiday we waited for almost an hour with a reservation, which is not acceptable. In the future, a table time limit should be enforced on weekends and holidays.

From the moment we sat down, our Server named Demi was exceptionally rude. Her entitlement was on full display for all her tables and we heard multiple people comment about it. She had so much attitude towards her customers that it ruined the entire meal. She has no place working where she interfaces with customers and should be in the back washing dishes.

Our bread was served to us with mold on it. Entrees weren’t great. Appetizers were good.

I was very disappointed in the fish that I had ordered. I got the combination plate, where you select 2 proteins, the seasoning, plus 2 sides. I chose red snapper with Cajun seasoning and swordfish with chipotle mango seasoning. Sides were asparagus and red potatoes. The sides were drowned in clarified butter and both fish were extremely bland. I'm not even sure they cooked the red snapper properly. It was awful. I told my food server, who was very accommodating. He brought me little cups with extra seasoning for both fish and threw in a bowl of clam chowder on the house. he was the only thing good about my dinner. Both my husband and his mom were pleased with their entrees.

The bartender did not know how to make basic menu drinks. The food has rather bland. The server really tried. But had many tables to cover to be attentive.

I was expecting a better meal and service. I ordered the combo halibut and coconut fried shrimp. The halibut and shrimp was such a tiny portion. My husband ordered the halibut and it was really salty. Our food was not hot at all! It was very disappointing!!!! For $90 I’ll take my business across the way to North Italia next time!

Back kitchen manager should be more customer friendly when speaking to their customers. I was not happy with the way he approached me regarding my food allergies when our waiter was the best and had already been so helpful. People sitting next to us were so loud and didn’t allow me to enjoy my dinner or conversations. Other than that, waiter and food was great. He even brought me and ice cream sundae to celebrate my birthday. Thank you

Food was below average. None of the menu noted wild caught seafood, so I have to assume none of it was wild caught. I will not return.

Service was amazing! Our server, Monica, took very good care of us. I could’ve eaten 9 orders of the bruschetta/burrata. So delicious.

Not a great experience. There was very little people in the restaurant yet the service was slim. We had to track down our server multiple times to ask for things. Our drinks (cocktails) were poor quality. Really just tasted like canned juice with a little alcohol, and they took at least 15 mins for them (and a Diet Coke) to come! Starter salad came minutes before the entrees were put on our table. For a newish restaurant the table and booth looked dirty with lots of marks/stains. Disappointed over all. Hopefully things can improve.

The menu looked good but maybe we ordered the wrong thing. We had the seafood stew . The sauce was delicious but the shrimp were tiny and overcooked, the crab was only half of a leg and the lobster was very small. The crab was very salty. The mussels and two clams were ok. They added spaghetti but very little. I also had an artichoke that was steamed ( not grilled) and very watery. The server was ok but seemed preoccupied with something else.

This was our 2nd visit to MB Grill in Torrance. After the 1st visit the 2nd was a disappointment. Reservation was for 5:00PM in the main dining area. Restaurant was not crowded only 5 tables in use at the time. Service was very good from Timothy. He was cordial and attentive to our table. My wife and I had invited a family friend to experience the MB Grill after our 1st visit. In fact, we bragged about the food being very good. We all ordered the Salmon Oscar (3) with salads and Flautas appetizer. Salads delivered on time, the Flautas also on time as were the 3 Salmon Oscars. All 3 of the Salmon Oscars were overcooked (left on grill to long) - which made them dry along with the crab cakes with lobster. The Asparagus were actually burned a little and to add insult to injury the Salmon was over salted. The meals was definitely not prepared by the same chef/cook that prepared our meals on the 1st visit. I started to send them all back - but we decided to eat them. Needless to say my wife and I were a little embarrassed after telling our guest that the food was delicious (which it was on the 1st visit). We were disappointed. Not sure what happened but management needs to bring consistency to the Grill - it will make you or break you. Training perhaps is the key. When the reservation it was noted that a birthday was be celebrated (90th). No acknowledgement of the birthday was mentioned upon check-in or by the waiter. Until we mentioned it. This is the 2nd time this happening and has been noted on other reviews??

We were celebrating two birthdays and we requested Malina because she’s our favorite server. Malina remembered our drink preferences and served them when she first greeted us. We ordered the artichoke appetizer and steamed clams to start. Our entrees were lobster, ribeye steak & crab legs, filet mignon & shimp and lobster ravioli. Everyone enjoyed their food. We brought a custom birthday cake which Malina served us along with an ice cream sundae for the birthday celebration. It was a wonderful experience.

The taste of the cocktails was terrible and the quality of the food was poor.The champagne I ordered instead was not served at all, so I paid the bill and went to another restaurant. I will never come back here again

Great service. Nice gentlemen. Disappointed in my food as I ordered the same thing like 6 months ago and was delicious and came back to order that dish again and was not very good. (Halibut) Very dry. I understand restaurants have their off days. Manager and bartender very responsive to my dissatisfaction and comped that dish. My partner's food was good. I will definitely come back again. Good service

First time at MB Grille and everything was excellent. The only bad thing is finding a parking spot but otherwise, food, service and ambience were perfect.

The service was great and the food was delicious! The restaurant was very busy in a Friday night but We made a reservation and were able to be seated right away. This restaurant is in a shopping center to be sure to plan extra time to find a park spot as it can get very full. Hint: sign up for the e club ahead of time and you will get a free coconut shrimp appetizer

This was my second time eating there. I enjoyed it more than I did the first time. Swordfish was excellent. Good food for the value.

One out of 3 meals was good. Sand in the muscles, no other seafood detected in a seafood dish that was supposed to have shrimp and scallops with the muscles. If they were there, you needed a microscope to find it. Had to send it back and replacement dish came when I had finished my meal. Very nice waiter and manager that did their best to make it right but …. obviously they need more help. Waited a long time for everything in an almost empty restaurant. I have had very good experiences with them in the past and will return to give them another chance. This was just a bad day.

I was hoping it would be like the previous restaurant in the space. They didn’t change any of the decor or seating. Took 20 minutes to get my cocktail. I got a lobster roll and it was dry. Hubs got the jambalaya and liked it. It was a little pricey for the quality of food.

Food was good. Wait staff so-so. Early dinner with reservations at 5:00pm. Not crowded. Front desk very friendly. Waiter perhaps in training. Over all good experience. Had Halibut (very good), wife had Salmon (very good). Will definitely return to try other menu items.

Had to wait with my reservation but other than that, Food was excellent from start to finish. Claim chowder, lobster and shrimp flautas, halibut, jambalaya, drinks all 100% waitress took care of us. I will be back.

My visit to MB Grille was far from satisfactory. Despite having a reservation, we endured a one-hour wait to be seated. The overworked bartender on a busy night was evident with orders and dishes backed up. Once we finally were seated we waited 20 minutes without a server, menu, or even bread. Despite requesting a booth, we were seated at a table. Frustrated and completely neglected, we decided to leave. A disappointing experience overall. We went to Mcdonalds and had better service

Went for Valentine’s Day… had to wait 45mins despite having a reservation, entire staff seemed overwhelmed and ill-prepared, waited 35mins for my first espresso martini order, food came a couple mins after (perfect temperature), but when we asked the runner to finally get napkins and silverware, he said “let me try and find some since we are all out”? Very concerning, and my girlfriend asked for her steak medium, but it came out very well done. Should be a stern warning to not make an appearance here during a holiday.

The service was very friendly. Went on a Friday night. The restaurant is quite large so it was not a problem getting a seat. Drinks were pretty good, all around $14. They have a new drink, espresso martini, it doesn’t actually have espresso, just coffee liqueur and vodka. They were kind enough to say try it, if I’m not happy, they wouldn’t charge me.

My party and I all enjoyed our experience at MB Grille. Our server, Antonio, was attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance was good. I appreciate the large dining area with seating nicely spaced so you don’t feel as if other diners are sitting right on top of you. The food was good as well. Love the shrimp and crab flautas (appetizer). The sweet & spicy calamari was just okay. The sauce and panko were tasty, but the calamari itself had little, if any seasoning, so it was a little bland. We all loved the cheesy potatoes. I had the sea bass… very good!. Others in party had the NY steak and petite filet topped with lobster. They both were very pleased. Last but not least (actually first but not least since we had dessert first) the creme’ brûlée was DELICIOUS! I would recommend MB and will be returning.

The food was outstanding! We went to celabrate our son's birthday with the family. Great menu the bacon wraped shrimp was excellent it is a must have. Steak was cooked perfectly. Everyone was happy with their food and sevice was fantastic. We will definitely be coming back again.

Great for our group of 6, every one found something delicious. We had to call last minute and move our reservation back 45 minutes and the host was very understanding and made the change no problem.
