Inspired by a Franco-Indian love story, two cultures come together in gastronomy to awaken the
senses.
Maza Bistrot is joy on a plate; the culmination of a passion for cooking and hosting shared by Rohan
Chanana, from Rajasthan, India and Caroline Astier Chanana from Drôme, France.
Sharing is at the heart of Maza Bistrot - its leitmotif in the form of little steel thalis carefully designed for
friends, family and a community to enjoy. With freshly sourced local and seasonal produce, Maza’s cuisine departs from convention, emphasizing playfulness using spices and textures.
Marrying ancestral cooking techniques and modern inspiration, Maza endeavours to represent the
symbiosis of East meeting West.
The team at Maza warmly invites you to drop by to enjoy a cup of cardamom-laced chaï, or perhaps a
glass of wine at the bar with your favorite dishes.

Had a wonderful meal here with my wife. We eat a fair amount of Indian and French foods and were intrigued with what the fusion of the two would be like. We were blown away with it! We’ve had escargot a lot of different ways and their use of butter - which they make and then allow to steep with jamon which they include with the garlic created a flavor that was unique and delicious. We also had their Behl Puri which was a bright and refreshing way to start our meal. The Tandoori Chicken was amazing - moist and flavorful with a different from what one expects with Tandoori but very good in its own right. The tandoori shrimp was quite good as well but required some work to eat but I did like that these had their heads on. Dessert was their French Crepe which had poached pears and a very rich but amazing cinnamon ice cream. All that in a very nice, calming atmosphere - quite a nice break from some of the popular restaurant’s we’d been going to where the “energy” was a bit overwhelming. Oh and don’t forget to get their handmade Mexican chocolate truffles - literal explosion of flavor! The owners were super nice and engaging and we’ll definitely be recommending this place to anyone!

This was our second visit and just as wonderful as the first time! Food is absolutely delicious and the husband and wife owners are a delight and go out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable. We looked forward to returning and will certainly do so on our next stay in CDMX! Muchas Gracias 🙏

It’s not often that I discover a gem and that also for Indian food outside India. Maza is such a place. Outstanding food and service. The chaat is fresh and flavorful mixed with local produce and flavors. The kebabs melt in your mouth and naan is light , fluffy and insanely tasty. A must try if you like or are curious about Indian food. You will not be disappointed.

Desde que llegué, me explicaron el menú, se mantuvieron al tanto durante toda la comida y fueron profesionales. Lo que comí estaba excepcional

Fantastic Indian food. Every dish has a twist from the chef to bring authentic and traditional recipes. The chef greats every table to make sure everything is well. A culinary jewell in the city.
