We LOVED HANNAH!! Even though they were out of chicken wings for my favorite dish, Chicken & Waffles, she made lemonade out of lemons! She was so pleasant we did not even leave. She recommended a chicken sandwich and put the spice on the side! Since she, like myself, doesn’t like spice. Hannah even brought a side of honey chipotle that made it superb! Even talked me into leaving the kale salad on there. I TOTALLY ate completely out of the box. EXCEPTIONAL customer service! This is my favorite brunch spot. We will see Hannah again!

I tried the newish creole salmon dish and it was amazing. Max’s always delivers on taste and quality and I look forward to coming back.

Food was great, service was meh. My companions were indecisive, so I get why the waitress would give us more time, but she stayed gone SO long without checking back that it felt like “I’ll show YOU!” The mimosas were nice, the food was great. Waitress did not write our orders down (which is not a flex and not impressive, especially if they get the order wrong, which she did). For my sides, I asked for collard greens and breakfast potatoes and French toast, and specifically used the phrase “I want the sides that come with it,” before listing them for clarity. (I specified I wanted the sides that came with the dish because there was substituting among my companions and I wanted to be clear I was not doing that.) She then brought grits instead of greens and basically insisted I had said grits. (I’ve never ordered grits in my life; I don’t even like grits. Because ew.) MWD is always enjoyable, the food is great, but this isn’t the first time a server has flubbed the order after not writing it down. Let’s normalize writing down orders (especially for groups over two) because it is a red flag (repeat, NOT a flex, NOt impressive) when they don’t write it down, and infuriating when they then get it wrong. Big love for whoever cooks the fried lobster, and for the Hispanic gentleman who topped off our water and cleaned up a companion’s spill.

Everything was on point we were under the impression it was more like a Mastros type setting 🤣🤷🏾‍♂️ but it was awesome will be back for sure
