Eight years ago, Maximo Bistrot started as a restaurant for the thinking and execution of dishes from a wide range of techniques with the best of local ingredients; a warmful place that communicated our love for food. After a long and heartwarming road at our current location, we thought for the need of moving. Our new home, located at Alvaro Obregon 65 bis - a much wider space where gleams of natural light shine upon the surface-, is carefully assembled by Gabriela's meticulous look, and a kitchen built within Eduardo García's early memories, while living as an inmigrant in a barn in Ohio. Despite this big change, our principles initially founded remain the same: to offer food that distinguishes the best of local products.

From Los Angeles 1 couple and 1 boy. Tuve un almuerzo maravilloso en Maximo para mi cumpleaños. Probé las cebollas dulces, la ensalada de beteble remolacha, la tempura de cangrejo suave y la hamburguesa de waygu. Todo estaba delicioso y el servicio fue impecable. La única comida que fue un poco demasiado rica fue la hamburguesa de waygu. El lugar es relajado, limpio y no demasiado formal. Me encontré el chef ejecutivo pero no me di cuenta hasta más tarde. Lol.

We were disappointed by the blandness and lack of imagination of the food. Ricotta and peaches nothing special. Onion appetizer like thick french onion soup and difficult to eat. Stone crab appetizer had no flavor of crab. And the food was very overpriced. The service and ambiance were lovely.

Honestly speaking I was incredibly disappointed. I had the pleasure of dining at Maximo in 2016 and the food was incredible back then and had the pleasure of actually meeting the chef. We tasted maybe about 8-10 dishes the last time in 2016 and everything was delicious. We had lunch and then came back for dinner the same night. That's how good it was. Fast-forward to 2024. Had the tasting menu. More misses than hits. Sad to admit it. For context, we also fined at Pujol and Quintonil.

We had a beautiful night. The food was fantastic. The service was excellent. This is one spot in Mexico City that I would return to for dinner service. My observation is that they are respectful of ingredients and their seasonality. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Toda la comida estuvo de 10 de entrada probamos la ensalada cesar con queso de puerco, riquísima, la lengua con mole espectacular!!!

Maximo was excellent! The staff was super warm and attentive and gave excellent recommendations. Everything was absolutely delicious, from light, complex and subtle flavors to bold and rich. Every dish was on point. And the drinks! We had cocktails, wine, and beer and everything was so, so good. Our Spanish is pretty rough and barely there but they have numerous English-speaking staff and everyone is just so warm and patient that they'll walk you through it!

The food was delicious with unique flavors and flawless presentation. The only thing I would add is that they put too much cracked pepper on many dishes. Soups and salads were overly peppery. That’s the only negative thing I would say about this beautiful restaurant.

Pedimos el menú degustacion con maridaje y los 2 nos enfermamos. Tardaron mucho en llevarnos las bebidas que pedimos en un inicio (20 min) y tuvimos que pedirlas 3 veces Pedimos que nos confirmaran el nombre de uno de los vinos que estábamos probando (2 veces), nunca lo hicieron

Everything was tasty! Curry soup and beet salads were okay, nothing spectacular, and wayyyy overpriced for what they were. Duck breast and duck confit were excellent. Scallops had good taste but 2 scallops and so little risotto…poor value Service was impeccable.

Good vibe in a great neighborhood. The food was beautifully presented and delicious but portions are very small for the price. The scallop risotto had only 2 scallops for Mex$990. If you're celebrating or looking for an experience this is a good choice.

Really good experience dining here. The ambience is on point. Great wine selection and cocktail list. We had numerous people waiting on us, all of them very kind. The food was delicious and very fresh. Will definitely be back!

m Maximo was particularly concerned about food sensitivity and made menu changes to accommodate them. We did not get the tasting menu but a la carte instead. The food was creative and the presentation very nice but not exceptional. the red snapper was particualy fine though the waygu beef was a bit tough

The food was a little off - Not as described on the menu- Had an appetizer that noted home made sriracha- I didn't see or taste anything resembling the sauce. I ordered wagyu steak- menu said maitake mushrooms- I received button mushrooms- and half of them were still a bright white from being undercooked and served raw.

Creative and delicious fare. We enjoyed the pulpo appetizer and the onion with cheese. The Huachinango was delicious as was the pasta special. I really enjoyed my Verbena cocktail. We are never disappointed with the cuisine, service and ambience.
