We made a reservation for 12:45 and arrived on time. I realize it was busy due to mother’s day but that is why we made a reservation. After waiting for about 20 minutes, they told us they could only seat us outside (our reservation was not for an outdoor table). It was a bit windy, and we have two small children, but we reluctantly agreed when the hostess told us there were no other tables available. We proceeded to sit at our table for another 30 minutes with not a single waiter take our order, acknowledge us, or even as much as let us know they’d be with us in a minute. I truly can’t really rate the food as we never had an opportunity to try it after waiting there for an hour with a 2 and 5 year old trying to enjoy a Mother’s Day brunch.

The matchbox bill overcharged us $10 for an item (2 orders of chicken & waffles). The menu shows $22/entree. The register rang it as $27. I pointed out the error, and we had to wait around for it to be fixed. No manager ever came to apologize and all they did was credit $10 - the amount it should have been without their incorrect pricing . No effort was made to fix it in the system so I suspect they are continuing to overcharge everyone else

Our waiter was the worst we’ve had in quite some time. He made us move from a bigger table because we only had 5 people instead of 8 (our mistake as people couldn’t come due to sickness). We understood and moved without any problem but come to find out the party that replaced us only had 5-6 people. Once we moved, our waiter would barely look at us and we felt like we were bothering him even ordering food. When he did not return to our table, we asked to talk to the manager. The manager listened and apologized, but the waiter was still very cold the rest of the meal which made it very uncomfortable. While we appreciated the manager taking the drinks off our check, we will not be dining there again and would not recommend the restaurant due to the service overall. It was my mom’s first outing after a very big surgery due to cancer and it was very disappointing.

Unfortunately, this was the first time we’ve ever experienced horrible service from a waitress. I had to ask multiple times to have drinks refilled and check on the food and the waitress never asked us how the food was or if we were enjoying it and we felt as if we were, forgotten.

Did not like the service. Our server didn’t bring us water, utensils, food, or anything we asked for. Some other person from the kitchen brought our food. When we requested the bill that’s the only thing they brought quickly. Otherwise nothing else. No plates were brought either. Not to mention no napkins. I usually have good service, I was very disappointed this time.

The music was so loud, our server had a very hard time hearing our orders. It was also impossible to hold conversations at the table.

My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves, and I have to commend the servers who work on the top level because they have to take a lot of stairs to get the food to us. Based on that, I’m amazed how warm the food is. It’s also very helpful that management takes a special interest in trying to get things right when you point something out. I was very pleased.

my wife and I went to Matchbox at one Loudoun for Easter for dinner and were delighted to see the prosciutto and fig pizza was back on the menu with real figs 👏👏👏
