Wasn’t the best experience. Our waitress definitely hated her job and it showed. Forgetting items we ordered and having a hard time doing a hot coffee with Jamison. The coffee had to be made twice and even the second time it wasn’t correct. Very quick to throw the bill on the table to get rid of us. Never said thank you. The food was good but the waitress ruined the whole meal.

For a Mother’s Day meal (9 people) we decided on a bunch of tapas plates and a few entrees! Everything was outstanding especially the two-way chicken and paella! Other excellent tapas orders were the seared scallops, beef empanadas, and short ribs. Our server was attentive and friendly, the drinks delicious and the churros & apple tart desserts were amazing!

Chicken wings came out cold and out food was warm not hot- a surprise as we have eaten there at least 10 times. We will return. They were out of the lamb chops and forgot the mango salsa on the swordfish. We caught them on a bad night.

It was my first time ever to this restaurant. My parents and my wife were surprisingly loved their dishes, particularly with the fries. Though it was a bit pricey, it was worth to eat there.

Excellent experience. We both had items from the wood-fired grill, since it seemed to be a specialty of Matadora, and indeed it is. One of us ordered an entree with a couple sides and the other had tapas. The burrata was a standout. We shared an especially tasty chocolate mousse for dessert. Such a comfortable evening, with great food and live music. The service was excellent (thank you, Sarah). We look forward to returning.

Their new menu is extensive and the 4 tapas that we picked were all superb! Try the eggplant chips. Very different and very good! Oliver was a great waiter!

I HATED the fact the shrimp still had the head and hands! I ordered a $40 plate and expect to have the shrimp stripped for me. The Sangria was mild to say the least and wasn’t what I remembered from last time!

We like your restaurant but our waitress was remarkably inexperienced. All the Tapas came out at the same time. Really, you should train them to have more respect for the food culture than that. Not cool. She managed to smile and be sweet which saved her but still, we were disappointed. You should train them well. People will come from miles around.

This restaurant looks and feels nothing like the photos on the web site. It's actually in an old, run-down Hilton hotel lobby, and is not the warm and intimate space depicted on the web site. The only people dining were business travelers sitting at the bar because they happened to be staying there. Don't be fooled!

Maybe it was an off day! We didn’t have a good experience. Menu for brunch was limited and we couldn’t order from lunch or dinner menu. We found a hair in our flaming chorizo and they brought us another but never offered to comp it. Wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Super slow and bad service, we ordered a paella and it was super spicy, it wasn't an ingredient listed on the menu, we ordered a croquette and it was fried on the outside and frozen on the inside.

Server Oliver was best part of meal. Prices are for a fancy place but ambience is a sports bar with large screen TVs, along with the chlorine smell and loud sounds of the nearby hotel indoor swimming pool filled with kids. No return to Matadora.

The food was tasty but WAAYYY overpriced. We paid $55 for a ribeye that was on par with what you can get at the LongHorn Steakhouse (plus EVERYTHING is a la carte - and adds up quickly). Also, while the inside was nice, you will be able to hear everything that is happening in the indoor pool (which , when we went, at 5:30 on a Saturday night, was a bunch of screaming kids). The tapas were tasty and I'm sure some people my love it - but we will not be back.

Last minute decision to try Matador as something a little different— we loved it!! Great food, tasty drinks, nice ambiance. My teens aren’t as adventurous with food, but the restaurant was able to accommodate (eg plain burger, paella With no clams or muscles,). Loved our waiter, but as it got busy, we didn’t see him as much as perhaps we would have liked.

Food and drinks were very good. We got our entree before our tapas due to an error in the ordering system which was frustrating. Could’ve done with a more attentive waitress, but overall the food was very good and would like to go back to try more.

No one at front desk. Limited options. Strict no variance from menu, not even guacamole. Only two couples in restaurant. Table seating not available. Sat at booth at bar. Would not recommend.

It's not a real Spanish place. They offer a sobrasada which is not a sobrasada, just some slices of a nice salami, not the nice red spread I was waiting for. The croquetas are made of potato dough and not from bechamel. The bravas were ok. Gin tonics were good. But overall too expensive for what it was.

Started out a little rough ,their website had 3 o’clock dinner time for Saturday , we got there and we were told 4 o’clock is the time ,, we were meeting friends there at 3 and made it awkward for us, …. Shay the host / bartender talked to management and was able to get us a 3:30 start. Food was great , the menu drinks were quite good….. Shay was not imaginative enough to come up with off menu bourbon drinks …… but he did a very good job with what he knew…… at 4 o’clock bartender Daniel took over , and boy did he shine … very creative and knowledgeable about cocktails his service was excellent ! My wife and friends are looking forward to going back!

I have been to Matadora several times and loved it. They need to be more clear that they carry only a limited tapas menu on weekends before 4. I took a friend for tapas at 1 pm and there were very few selections. Service was excellent, though, and the dishes were had were good.

Wonderful experience! The food, wine and service were all phenomenal. One of the best meals we’ve had in the area! We were thrilled! The only complaint was that the fire alarms were going off and we had emergency lights though the windows all evening.

Place is nice, great tasting food, quality 100%. I know it’s a hotel but it would be better if it felt as it wasn’t a part of the hotel. Only thing I didn’t like was seeing everyone check in and out while at dinner. I wasn’t staying at the hotel but I did hear good things about the food.

The food was AMAZING! The whole atmosphere was great. Our only issue was that once the server took our order and gave us our drinks, he never came back until he saw we were done and then asked us how everything was. We still gave him a generous tip even though it wasn’t deserved.

Food was okay. Everything seemed to come in the same red spicy, and crema sauce. Wasn’t bad, just would have appreciated more variety. Menu was a little all over the place. And nothing came with crackers (including the tuna tartar, and burratta) So we had to just eat them all with our fork? Not ideal. Also, very little tequila on the menu for a Spanish tapas restaurant. I understand it was a hotel restaurant so I had hedged my expectations. Just not what I wanted. Nothing was BAD, just not great. Won’t go again.

Went here on Valentine’s Day and was super disappointed. The cocktails took forever, all of the food we ordered came out before the cocktail did, and yet somehow the food was all cold. It was strange too because the manager calling the tickets seemed to be on top of things — but maybe too much so. Let your guests enjoy their night. We felt rushed out of there.

We absolutely loved this place. From start to finish the food was delicious. The service was also very good, they did not rush us and we did not wait long for food to get to the table. We had a bunch of tapas to start and then I had the steak and frites and the flavor was outstanding. The chimichurri could have used a little more garlic but it was very good, I dipped every piece of steak into it. We finished the night off with churros and chocolate. We will be back for sure.

An overall nice experience! Large selection of traditional Spanish tapas. If cocktails are your thing they have some fun ones. I had a deliciously smooth glass of the Tempranillo & my friend had a juicy glass of red Sangria. Had a one cheese (Manchego) one meat (Jamon) charcuterie, beet salad, and lamb chops. Beet salad was boring but the others were great. Attentive & helpful service.

Great ambiance, food and drinks were great. However it was busy and service took longer than expected. One of my dishes was the flaming chorizo and it took probably 20min to arrive. Pretty long for that type of dish.

I was excited to finally try Matadora and ended up incredibly disappointed. We ordered 3 cold tapas/cheese and 3 hot tapas. After an hour we got the 1 item, the mahi mahi which was ice cold. We then waited another half an hour for 2 items and then about 15 minutes later one more came out. At that point we told our waitress (who took our order and we never saw again) that we were ready to leave but we ordered items that we never got. She checked on them in the kitchen and came back to the table to say, “..yeah…the chef said that’s gonna take a while…”. Evidently sliced Manchego cheese takes a while. What was frustrating is that it seemed like there were a million take-out orders lined up and going out, way more than food was being delivered to tables. What wasn’t cold was tasty but clearly the kitchen was having issues and our waitress basically said “take it or leave it”. I have eaten many places where I would if the food is great but Matadora is not one of them.

The kitchen was evidently short staffed so it took a long time for us to get our food. In fact, one of our meals did not even come through. Moreover, we were hoping for an apology from the waiter regarding this but we did not get one. This was an unfortunate experience as we have been here multiple times in the past and have had a great time.

Food items not available. Very long waits. We were there 4 hours and only had about 3 rounds of 3 tapas. I felt the place hungry as we did not order enough food due to the long wait. No dessert either for the same reason. Tired of waiting. Not enough cooks? 🤷🏻‍♀️
