Le Massimo fait vivre une « trattoria » italienne excellente dans le quartier Federal Hill à Providence. On y offre un menu italien contemporain inspiré par les cuisines régionales de l'Italie. Not our first time visit and ambiance depends where you’re sitting. We sat by the upstairs bar and on a Friday night so it was busy and noisy. Still had good food and though service was not necessarily lacking you felt the rush. Will return when weather is better and sit downstairs either outside, to people watch, or by sliders.

Our meals were fabulous and my only complaint was the tiny amount of lobster in my black squid ink pasta dish. Service was great and so was the overall vibe. I’ll definitely be back!

Our server, Hailey, was incredible! The best waitress ever! The food was outstanding. I had the salmon and some had veal parm and duck and raved about their dishes. The dessert, lemon and bread pudding was soooo good!

Our server Gabrielle was wonderful, friendly, and attentive. We were there for Mother's Day and our dinner was perfect from start to finish. The cocktails were delicious and the entrees were so fresh! My eggplant parmigiana was so yummy I ate it all. My husband loved his filet as well and said it was cooked perfectly. My sons also loved their crab ravioli and eggplant/mushroom tower. We'll be back for sure!

Mother's Day brunch. The food was decent, but not outstanding. There were a lot of gluten-free options, but the server wasn't exactly sure what that meant for most of the options. With so many Italian options nearby, I'm not sure we would try it again so quickly.

My mom and I had a wonderful experience at Massimo on Mother’s Day. Everything we ate and drank was delicious and the service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back.

This might have been my mistake but after reading several reviews I thought that this Massimo was related to the Massimo in Portsmouth, N.H. which is superb. This Massimo was adequate but not outstanding. Noise level was high, food average, and ambiance OK> That being said the service was very good and our drinks were also good.

The service was top notch. I had the lobster special… it was Good. My wife’s food was ok. My son’s food was basic pasta with sauce… the worse part was there was no salt in the pasta water( why, so basic ) sauce was fresh, lacked seasoning.

This was our first visit and we were celebrating my son’s college graduation. Our server, Nate, was absolutely amazing. We appreciated the fact that we could order half portions of entrées so that we could try a bunch of different meals. Everything was amazing. I accidentally only made the reservation for four people and we needed space for five and they were able to accommodate us no problem. We will definitely be back again.

The food and service are very good here. They offer al fresco dining on nice days, so if you are looking for a quieter experience, you may want to request the upstairs dining room. The lower level is open to the street with lots of street noise. That said, it’s still a good place to go, albeit a little expensive.

Despite being super busy because it was Mother’s Day, our server was very attentive and prompt with our orders. Even the drink order which we expected delays with because the restaurant was packed for brunch were not delayed. As for the food, what can I say? It’s Camille’s. Always delicious.

We had the fixed-price 3-course lunch. It was a good deal. The appetizers were very good - I had the soup with beans and kale and my friend had the mixed salad. Very nice - fresh made and flavorful. My main was the seafood risotto, which was unfortunately overly salty. My friend's ravoli were a bit soupy. Desserts (tiramisu and cannoli) were both excellent. Good service and pleasant atmosphere.

Been a couple of years since we last visited. Seems to have slipped a little bit. Food is generally okay but for the price there's better options in Federal Hill.

Massimo was wonderful. Martini and meatball appetizer amazing. Also, olives and focaccia bread served. We each had a pasta dish and both delicious and very plentiful. They do not pre-fill their cannolis so the shell crisp and the filling creamy and cold. Perfect! Our server was very knowledgeable and professional. Excellent value too. Highly recommend.

Out of area guests Doing a job near by! How fortunate we were to stumbled upon this fantastic restaurant ! The host was polite and friendly! Emily our server was an outstanding friendly professional great attention to detail! Food was AMAZING - very classy and comfortable combination!

Our server Nick was attentive, polite and he went out of his way to provide us with an anniversary surprise after our meal and the kitchen/menu accommodates for Celiac disease restrictions. Wonderful experience!

We went to Massimo while visiting Providence. The service and food was wonderful. We had appetizers, Duck confit, short rib gnocchi and veal dinners. All food / pasta is homemade and generous portions, recommend if you are in area and want nicer atmosphere and meal for dinner

Asked for gluten free entree but it wasn’t and 2-3 hours after eating it became very sick. Kitchen staff needs to be educated on importance of delivering a gluten free entree when one is ordered

Celebrated a 50th birthday with a group and there were some nice touches...table decorated and a birthday treat at the end of dinner. Server was attentive and food was very good. Excellent drinks-if you like martinis, try the hot and dirty martini.

Service was friendly and attentive, food was very good…I agree with the review about the gnocchi being a little salty but overall everything was good. I would go again to try some other dishes.
