This is a good choice for dinner in the theater district. Drink prices can quickly run up the tab. For our group of nine, we spent $100 per person (hence the Fair rating for Value).

Marseille never disappoints. Last evening was no different. With the best escargot in town, bouillabaise with sherry and saffron as entrées, and lemon tart/strawberry rhubarb tart for dessert, we were in heaven! Great cab from Washington state a d espresso finished off a perfect meal. Attentive service, New York vibe, what more could one ask for?

The perfect place for before-theatre dining (or any dining, really). Service is professional and friendly and sensitive to timing if you are trying to make a curtain time. The food is delicious, and the house bread rolls and butter are addictive. Oyster happy hour is amazing. This is a lovely French-style brasserie in the Theatre District, where you can have a civilized, delicious meal and avoid the touristy restaurant scene around Times Square.

Our server, José realy came through for us as we limited time for our lunch. Within minutes our meals arrived and we had plenty of time to make the matinee show. My Salad Niçoise was outstanding! We couldn't be happier and will return soon!

Marseilles is always a pleasure! The food is delicious and the service is outstanding. We all loved our lunch choices, and our waiter, Johnny M, was delightful and helpful.

Great food and service. Convenient location in the theater district. A little pricey but that's NYC for you. If you order very modestly it will cost about $100 pp plus tax & tip. Only complaint is that the noise level was so high that it was hard to have a conversation - a common problem.

What a great experience, staff were great and food even better. A must go to for an excellent selection of French food and at a good cost. Came for Mother’s day and she wasn’t disappointed.

Always my go to when in NYC. Food and service is always great. This time around I found the drink price very high compared to other restaurants though. $68 for two double Grey Goose. Elsewhere $40-45 for same.

Go to place when we are in town for show. Good location and very good food. Mom loves the onion soup and I am partial to the mussels. Service was good and they ask about show times and helped pick appropriate menu items.

Ambiance and servers were nice. Food was no good. Definitely below par and didn’t meet expectations. Very disappointed as it was a birthday meal and nothing was done to make it special.

Our server Madeline provided expert knowledge and recommendations. Every course was delightful with surprising flavors and value at this price point. Convenience to the theater district is a plus.

The restaurant is so beautiful,there are lots of flowers around it. The service men were nice but didn’t take out our finished dishes until we had leave. About the food,it was delicious but some seafood was very fresh.

This was an opportunistic late night supper. Though we were the last to eat there for the night we were still treated especially well. It was a beautifully romantic meal from beginning to end. We started with a goat-cheese salad (very good) and a vegetarian risotto, which was a rather large portion and very fresh tasting perfectly cooked (peas, Lima beans, white beech mushrooms, carrots, white crème sauce). I think the larger portions reflect American sensibilities and as well hark back to a more southern France, farmers table inspiration let’s say. The menu surely points out various versions of their bouillabaisse (3 sizes!) - why shouldn’t they? It is a very good sign! Making this “soup“ is a lot of work and time and takes a lot of fish bone and lobster shell to make the proper reduction. It’s not something to take on easily as it will also infuse your house with quite an aroma that might not dissipate for some hours or longer… So this made us very happy indeed to find this featured. We ordered the grand bouillabaisse for 2 which includes two cut in half lobster tails…but wow the sauce and wow wow wow all the seafood in this bouillabaisse of which the monkfish fillets are just…to be remembered until next time! (Texture of monkfish is reminiscent of lobster and takes on the flavor of the bouillabaisse so well). Their sommelier directed us to a fantastic Sancerre - the wine list is interesting and quite reasonable. Great French meal absolutely goes down better with a great bottle. I was surprised and almost taken aback to enjoy the welcome of a REAL sommelier… I saw him dart over to our great waitress and review our order. What a pleasure to feel a service team lead with love for their customers- even new ones late at night. Sourdough bread roll - piping hot/delicious and served with cultured butter sitting in some olive oil. Desert- excellent dark chocolate mouse & crème brûlée! Highly recommend and we will return!

Always a wonderful evening! Started with drinks with friends (pre-theater). Unfortunately, no seats at the bar, so had to sit outside- a bit chilly. Enjoyed a lovely bottle of rosé. We had reserved for dinner inside, and so were relieved when we were moved in. Our favorite server, Austin, took care of us - as did the bar team: Jimmy and Daniel. Great service, great suggestions, great cocktails! The food - always superb. The paté appetizer special was outstanding, as was the usual escargot. Loved the grass-fed steak special with the perfect fries. All in all, a wonderful evening!

We were late for our reservation because of traffic but they were able to accommodate us anyway. We had limited time because we were headed to a show and informed the waitress. She helped us make choices that would arrive quickly, and they did! Mussels, a burger, tuna tartar, and oysters all delicious and fresh. Would recommend to anyone.

The staff were wonderful and for a NY restaurant the noise was not too bad. The onion soup and the oysters were fabulous. But the Bouillabaisse was bland and tasteless. The special dessert was also fabulous.

Amazing in every way. Food was delicious. Melanie our beautiful server was attentive but not pushy or aloof. The onion soup was heavenly. My risotto was so tasty and my dessert was perfect. My husband and I could hear each other and have a conversation. I will definitely be back.

We enjoyed a pre play brunch this past Sunday. Marseille has a charming interior with a definite European feel. The food and drink were very good, however, the brunch basket ( pastries) was by far the star. Service was excellent.

Close call! We arrived and they had no reservation for our party of 8. I made the reservation on OpenTable AND confirmed the night before. The general manager explained they did not receive a reservation from OpenTable, but managed to find us a table. The food and service were great and I really appreciate the efforts to find us a spot on a very crowded Saturday night.
