First, the food was quite good. Nice menu and variety of dishes. But, the prices are simply exorbitant. Portions are small, which is a welcome change from restaurants that insist on serving 3X portions to justify charging 3X prices. But it doesn’t excuse the fact that prices here are simply way out of whack. Houston isn’t NYC. Next, service started out strong. The server was attentive and made some nice recommendations. But as the meal progressed, the server became MIA. I was served a corky glass of wine and couldn’t find anyone to help replace it. Finally, after waiting a very long time, I was about to get up to simply ask for the bill when our server reappeared. I would’ve gladly stayed longer and enjoyed another wine and maybe even a second dessert but by then I was just ready to leave. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy. Next, I’d say the restaurant has a nice ambiance but poor acoustics. Even without a really large crowd, I found it very noisy. It detracts from the experience. Lastly, after my experience I found it rather absurd that when paying the bill, the recommended gratuity defaults to 20-35%. I had to go out of my way to tip less. It’s ridiculous that any would expect a tip of 35% on a truly overpriced menu. Get real! Under the circumstances, I think a 15% tip was more than generous. I may try the restaurant again in the future, but not very soon.

The food was so tasty! We went early because we were attending a concert & ordered from the Happy Hour food menu & dinner menu. HH menu prices were $5-$12, servings were good size. What a value! Service was excellent & the decor was very hip. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience for my husband’s birthday dinner. Food was divine, atmosphere was such a vibe. Our server was great gave amazing choices on the menu and drinks were delicious and strong.

Way over priced for the food quality and ambience. Loud and difficult to hear what my date was saying. Food was oversalted and couple dishes were overcooked.

Great service by Fernando. Very accommodating and knowledgeable. Excellent wine recommendations. NY strip was a little disappointing. Squid ink pasta was beyond. Duck was meaty and well prepared. Bolognese was classic. Deserts were stupendous.

I have been wanting to dine at Marmo since it opened. I finally went and found it to be very underwhelming. I don't plan to go back.

I have been here twice now and the food is just amazing. The wait staff really wants you to enjoy your experience and the ambience is very low-key yet chic. As a bonus, the valet service is complementary!

Squid Ink pasta was absolutely amazing. Wish I was given more than just one piece of complementary bread at a time. Noise level was a little loud for my preference, but all and all 4 out of 5. Will definitely come back.

Marmo always makes a celebration super special, this visit was no exception. Really loved the new spring menu items. A5 is the best in town and competitively priced.

I normally like this restaurant but the Easter brunch was pretty bad. Stations were all over the crowded restaurant and food was not good. Prime rib was tough and overall not many selections. Fritter was rubber, prosciutto was too thick, crab legs were not cut in half (are we supposed to eat with our hands?)

We were there for a business dinner and the food and service were both fantastic! Noise level was moderate - just lively enough but not loud to hamper table conversation. Our server provided great recommendations. Everything we ordered was delicious especially the squid ink pasta and the burratta. It is definitely worth a return visit

I booked Marmo for my boyfriends 32nd birthday and our experience was amazing! Our waitress was the best I have had at Marmo to date. Love this restaurant.

Marmo is a very cool place to eat! I think we could have done a better job ordering. My dinner was just ok, and my husband got the special and he said it was overwhelmed with the truffle flavor. BUT, the service was amazing and a nice wine list. The bottles of wine are way overpriced tho. When you charge $100 over the cost of the bottle that is a little much. Ambiance wonderful!!
