Marleys was opened in 2018 by young local couple, Mark & Charly. It's a culmination of fresh, seasonal and local ingredients - served by the friendliest team, and truly produced with love, thought and care.

We serve lunch, dinner and weekend breakfast in a relaxed and cosy atmosphere.

We focus on 'British Comfort Food', with a little extra attention to detail. Casual Dining at it's best - in your little neighbourhood cafe-restaurant.

We take dinner bookings in the evenings - with breakfast and lunch being walk-in only.

Marleys is our"go to" for the very best food and service in our old town. The staff are always willing to go that extra stretch and always with added smiles- they really have been well drilled from the top down. The food and choices are always top notch.....and the summer cocktails hit the spot to. Bravo 👏👏👏

Delicious food as always - we are never disappointed whether we come for brunch, lunch or dinner. Enough choices for meat eaters and vegetarians alike and the local provenance of food and drinks is fantastic. Service impeccable, always a warm welcome and, being a local and frequent visitor, always nice to see friendly faces. Charlie, despite being the owner and no doubt super busy, always finds time to wave or say hello, Tia and Mollie are absolute shining stars and provide a genuinely exceptional experience to diners. Can’t recommend highly enough, thanks Marleys, see you all soon!

Very good food as always . This is the 3rd visit I’ve made to the new restaurant. 2 out of three have been less than desirable . In the old restaurant the waiting staff were able to leave you in peace without feeling rushed. Last nights experience echoed my last where the waitress was over keen and sometimes overbearing . It was a shame I’d like to say I’d return but it won’t be for a while unfortunately .

I had a lovely birthday meal here. The good was really delicious, with very generous portion sizes. A lovely atmosphere and a personalised note with my name in scrabble letters was a truly lovely touch.

First visit to this location, and we will certainly be back in the near future. We tried the smashburger, which was cooked and presented beautifully, very tasty and enjoyable. All the ingredients were well matched, and the salad was also nicely done. The cherry bakewell dessert was equally good, again nice touches to make it even better. Really nice staff, very engaging, and the venue is well laid out and not cramped like others. Excellent.

Absolutely fantastic meal, yet again from the team at Marleys. Delicious and inventive flavour combinations, large portions, using local produce, coupled with impeccable, attentive and friendly service. Would 1000% recommend to anyone visiting Folkestone.

Hard benches look trendy but despite scatter cushions are very uncomfortable. Would return for the food and service but not for the comfort. Quite expensive too-just include the carb and garnish-side orders are not good value.

Excellent food, excellent service. Coffee liquer choices could be expanded to traditional for example an Irish Coffee . Black Coffee, Whiskey, Topped with Cream. Calypso Coffee made the same but with Tia Maria. Mine was just Latte with Tia Maria added!! Overall a good place to hold a birthday gathering.

The reason why I have given Marleys an overall fair review is for the following: The menu had not changed since my last visit which was just before Christmas which is disappointing. My fish was over cooked and the crumb on top was too hard and chewy the flavour was nice but the texture was far too dense. The dish didn't reflect the price. Great atmosphere and super service though!

Greeted warmly on arrival and the cutest card on the table wishing us a happy anniversary… lovely touch ☺️ pork belly was stunning 😍 really lovely restaurant and will be returning 🙌

Love Marley’s and will always book a table when we go on a mums night out. Staff always pleasant, the atmosphere is always great And the food is lovely, my only problem is that this has been the second time we have visited when they have ran out of certain puddings, it’s really disappointing as we always look forward to the end of the evening with a treat. Our tables have never been booked late and always booked in advance, they know how many tables are book so I feel the planning could be a little better. The cake we was recommended instead of the brownie was very dry and didn’t feel like much of a pudding at all!!

Very pleased to find a restaurant of this quality open at 5pm for a meal before we went to a show at the nearby Quarterhouse. I had the steak and my friend the chicken. Both generous portions and tasty. Our table was a bit wobbly because of the sloping floor and we were offered another table when we pointed this out. Friendly and prompt service.

First time visiting Marley’s and I was delighted that I chose this lovely restaurant. The welcome and attention by staff was amazing. A lovely meal, definitely the tastiest Burger I have ever had. I can see why Marley’s is a popular place to eat and will definitely be returning again.

Great food as always. Can be bit too noisy for a decent conversation. No soft furnishings to soak up the noise. Service great as always.

Another amazing meal at Marley's. Great atmosphere, staff very attentive. The food is so tasty. Tried the butchers board which was delicious, followed by sticky ginger pudding. Highly recommend Marley's.

We’ve been to Marley’s plenty of times over the last few years, and it really is one of the best places in the local area for great food, made with great produce in a great setting. The staff are lovely and very obliging, and the restaurant itself is cosy and relaxed. The restaurant must have tripled in size since their recent move to a bigger space, but the fact that it’s still so busy is a testament to how good Marley’s is. Would recommend for any occasion, from a quiet casual dinner to a celebration. 10/10, as always!

Superb meal, lovely staff and a nice ambiences. Music playing but could still have conversation - food was exceptional! Will be coming back again and again and again. One of the best in Folkestone

This place is a foodies heaven. With a diverse and inventive menu, superb cooking and best of all it’s priced very reasonably. We had a wonderful Valentine’s evening there. It’s no wonder you have to book well in advance.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Service was attentive and food was delivered to the table in good time. The food itself was faultless and very tasty. Overall I was really impressed and will by visiting again soon.
