In Marcus's own words, “Mariposa is personal to me. It is representative of my belief that no matter what challenges we face or transformations we go through, our shared food experiences will bring us closer. It helps us understand one another’s traditions and allows cultures around the world to tell their story." This place has gone down hill. The service and atmosphere are the only things still going for it.

We had the bananas foster French toast and the pork belly bowl. Both were fantastic and I'm very picky about French toast. The drinks were also generous sizes and delicious. I only wish the jazz band were more centered but that's not possible in this gorgeous space.

Our server was EXCELLENT! Super friendly, super knowledgeable about the menu and make lovely suggestions. However, the food was “eh” The restaurant itself is very nice inside, beautiful decor, great views….$120 for 4 small weird salads, no thanks.

We were on our way to see the Broadway show Hairspray. We had a very nice time at Mariposa. The food was delicious, service was attentive but not overbearing and the value was good too. Definitely recommend.

Overall, we enjoyed the experience and ambience. We had great service. The small and large plates we ordered were good. The burrata was excellent. The seafood on the paella (oyster, shrimp, flounder) was very good but the rice could have used more seasoning and lacked flavor.
