Great find! Wonderful Sunday lunch. Virgin Polarmo was special. Great selections of food. Our two dishes were very good.

The restaurant is beautiful and we will almost definitely go back at some point but there’s no rush. The food, drinks and the environment were all really good. The only “downside” would be that the service took an insanely long time for everything. I bring this up because there were only 3 other tables occupied in the entire restaurant, and they were small tables (we were a party of 6). At one point it took 12 minutes to get a glass of wine, the bar was 10 feet away and staff seemed to be hanging out. Maybe they are working out kinks in the system, and I hope they do.

This is a beautiful place for brunch or dinner! I can also see a cute Baby Shower or Bridal event here! Food was great, but the views of the city were amazing! Service was top notch and I would like to come back for the evening experience!

Started out very nice however it took over an hour to get a steak and not many people there. For the price I’d rather go to another steakhouse. Management was very nice just unable to realize timing. Shame the menu was great.

This restaurant is a delight and is on the 8th floor of the J.W. Marriott adjacent from the DMA. The view of the city is spectacular. The lunch menu is varied and fresh. Our server was attentive and helpful. It is a great stop after visiting the beautiful Impressionism Exhibition at the DMA. And it is a nice tie to the one of the DMA's most generous benefactors, Margaret McDermott and Margaret's is named to honor her. The brisket tacos were divine!!! And I am not often one to order beef especially at lunch. The apple toffee dessert is from Bishop Arts Emporium Pies and was delectable.

So a couple friends of our sent me a list of new restaurants they want to try. I selected Margaret on the reviews but more so the presentation pictures by the owner. An unfortunate theme throughout the night barely warm food. The kitchen really needs to get in order. All these dishes would have been sent back in a Hell Kitchen episode. Food: Aptzrs: Duck taquitos: tasty. Smokes beef tartare: we’ve never had this presentation and it has excellent. Charred Mussels: the hit of the night. Loved by all. Both the size of the mussel and taste were great. Amazing sauce. Unfortunately it was downhill after the appetizers. Salad: Baby Roman: nothing spectacular. Could’ve used a touch more dressing when you are using such large leafy greens Chai spiced pear burrata: wife order this at the begging wage me e did apps and salad. It didn’t so up till her main course. This is unacceptable and to top it off they still charged us for the dish. This is a pet-peeve of mine. DONT bring a dish out of sequence just tog eat a larger bill. At minimum you apologies and ask the customer if they still want it. Main dish: Our friends shared smoked bbq shank I think it was. Beautiful cut and a Fred Flintstone kind of look. The huge cut looks great but full of gristle. Very disappointing for $98. Me: jumbo scallops: $49 for three medium size at best the grits were almost cold Nothing special here Wife: Chicken: she felt chicken was a little dry but still had nice flavor. Nice presentation. Overall: For foodies they will most likely be a one time and out experience. The chief is lucky this in Dallas. If this restraint was on the west or east coast I don’t see it surging based on our experience. At these price, the value for the quality iis not there.

Thinking of JW Marriott label, this restaurant is poorly run, the staff are not well trained and food is just low caliber for such a fine name as JW. Every other location, JW Marriott lives up to its expectations and the Dallas location should not be different but it does not meet expectations.

Restaurant was nice and the service was great. However, the food was lacking. We ordered the half dozen oysters which were so small and ended up being overpowered by the apple & red verjus. The venison was dry and did not have a lot of taste, so something I would not order again. The jumbo sea scallops were great and the best thing we ordered that night. The maple bourbon pecan mousse was nice, however we ended up finding chunks of bacon in ours which even the waiter wasn’t unsure if that was supposed to be in the dessert. Overall, it was okay. The atmosphere was nice but food wasn't memorable enough to come back for.

These are the names I want to recognize my entire evening…. JOEL,NIKI,BRITTANY,BRANDON, AND OWEN keep in mind this is my first time here and I go to a lot of fine dining restaurants and other restaurants around I have NEVER had an amazing experience from the BAR to the TABLE they all treated me with respect and smiles and recommendations that were beyond amazing they made me feel like I was apart of them and felt at home which is so rare in every form and aspect let’s start with the host amazing people but went straight to the bar Niki opened up with smiles and a greet and recommended me the pork starter! I’m glad I listened to her because that’s the best pork I had in months! Then Brittany also chimed in and made me and my fiance laugh with her jokes as well and made us feel like we’re not judged! After 2 hours at the bar we went to to our table Brandon was the same treatment smile greeting felt like he loved his career here amazing energy amped us up for our food and drink! Not just that he treated us like if we were his family which is so rare now after our dinner of how amazing it was joel came to our table with the upmost respect told us about the benefits of joint the Marriott in which we will definitely join because of his recommendations and points he mentioned not only that Owen also joined our table to make sure everything went well smoothly and the fact that they all came and checked and chatted especially with other people and us made us feel like this is our permanent restaurant to have beautiful multiple nights in thank you team Margaret’s definitely going to be a regular from now on!

This restaurant is stunning. My out of town surprise date for my husband on Valentines was perfect! The restaurant is Quiet with beautiful views and amazing staff! The appetizer we ordered was the pork belly and it came with corn tortillas, listen it was absolutely delicious! Main course we both ordered the pork chop and it was top tier! We cleaned all plates! Adela was our waitress and she was great!

We sat at the bar until our table was ready. Troy was very personable, professional and man can he make a fabulous cocktail. Once we were sat, we waited 40 minutes and no one took a drink order. I had to get up and say something. Once I did though, Raul was superb. Service improved drastically. The food was amazing, simply sensational. I believe the next time we go back, they’ll get it right the first time. Definitely worth eating here!

Our experience was very uneven. First, it was a reminder of the difference a good server can make in your dining experience. While our server was nice and pleasant, working at an upscale restaurant might not be the profession for her. She didn’t advise us that we might want to order some sides with our entrees if we wanted vegetables. However, the menu descriptions did not lead us to that conclusion either. We had some hits and we had some misses with the food. The ACKNOWLEDGE THE CORN shareable dish was an awesome start to the meal. And the Chilean Sea Bass entree was good as well. I’d pass on the TX IBERICO PORK CHOP. After a long well I sent mine back as it was undercooked. However, cooking it more did not help. Our server offered us a free dessert (instead of asking if we wanted a substitute entree) but there was not a chocolate offering. We settled on the apple cobbler but it was mostly crust and short on apples. Margaret’s is on the 11th floor of the JW Hotel so there are nice views of downtown and a great atmosphere. Despite this experience we will give it another try and chalk it up to poor menu selections for our less than stellar food experience (the scallops and ribeye that the couple beside us ordered looked awesome) and hope to get a better server next time. We won’t be rushing back though.

Great vibe, food was delicious and flavorful. My husband got duck and I got the sea bass. Appetizer were scrumptious as well, duck flatus and crab cake . We also had a FANTASTIC waiter, Brandon. Brandon was pleasant and well knowledgeable of the menu. We will definitely return back!

Food was absolutely delicious and the added details made it very special. From a Delightful complimentary offering of cornbread with different spreads to start right down to the after dinner piece of mint chocolate with the Margaret’s name to end the meal, this restaurant was a wonderful surprise. We will go back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Margaret’s restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the attentive staff, particularly our server, Brandon, whose exceptional service elevated our evening. Brandon's insightful food recommendations were nothing short of impeccable, guiding us through the menu with expertise and enthusiasm. Throughout the evening, Brandon’s attentiveness never waned, ensuring that our glasses were always filled and our needs promptly met. His diligence and commitment to providing top-notch service truly enhanced our dining experience. We also had the pleasure of indulging in cocktails crafted by the talented bartender, whose expertise resulted in drinks that were nothing short of sublime. As for the food itself, every dish was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. Furthermore, the ambience was amazing and the view of downtown Dallas was amazing. We arrived at 1:45 for our 2pm Open Table booked reservation. We walked in and at first were ignored. Finally a host directed us to a table. The server then came over and told us the kitchen would be closing in 5 minutes. We told her that we had booked online. She told us we were welcome to order drinks or come back another day for a meal. We will never return.

Food and drinks were superb. Service friendly but could have been a bit faster/more attentive. Will definitely be back for the food. Annoying that self parking in the attached garage isn’t validated but valet in the same garage is; wish someone had mentioned this up front but either way it’s silly to not have an affiliation with the garage your entry literally funnels into.
