We had just returned from 3 months in Barcelona and Seville in Spain. Living like locals, enjoying the markets, the Boqueria, incredible old bars, endless tapas as well as festivals that never lacked for good food. And of course, we even did indulge and dine at a couple “haute cuisine” restaurants with a Michelin star or two. A friend guided us, as he had designed those restaurants. But only one of these can compare to our experience(s) at Mareva. And we have had many. The service at Mareva is excellent, and but the cuisine….. the dishes have that “wow” factor. That is when you taste something, and you cannot prevent yourself from saying “wow!” Mareva presents a straight-ahead Spanish cuisine that we only experienced at the Bar Boqueria on the Boqueria market. If you are in Miami and can’t drop everything and visit Barcelona, you don’t need to. Just go to Mareva. It is incredible!

Beautiful view outside of the garden and pool. Excellent bone marrow, octopus would have been better without the heavy mashed potatoes and cheese. It was all mixed instead of a simple grill octopus with roasted potatoes. The endive salad was too vinegary. Seafood salad was delicious.
