We have had multiple meals at Mare and have loved every one. First, the prices are very reasonable and the preparations are imaginative and well-prepared. The service is impeccable as well. The pizzas are fabulous- crispy and flavorful crusts and wonderful toppings. I've had the branzino, Dover Sole, Salmon and Orata in various ways and have never been disappointed. The octopus and branzino ceviche are wonderful as well as the shrimp and meatball appetizers. The romaine salad and the tomato and burrata salad are delicious as well. Although the weekends are busy, the weeknights are quiet and I would hate to see this amazing restaurant close, so come on....step up and try it. I

The only reason not rated outstanding for food is because the calamari appetizer was just fair. Could have been cooked just a bit longer for crunchiness. The main entrees were fabulous.

We had a wonderful experience at Mare. The staff was friendly and engaging from the manager to the waitstaff to the bartender. The food was prepared well and flavorful. It was hard to pick a favorite dessert- they were all tasty. We were celebrating several happy events and they made us feel special. We will return.

My wife and I had a hightop for 2. Started with ceviche and had lamb chops and scallops for main courses. The food was outstanding. The service was decent but a bit slow. However, it was incredibly noisy. I had trouble holding a conversation with my wife because neither of us could hear each other over the table of 20 behind us and the music.

I’ve been to Mare Mediterranean for the past three Mother’s Days for a late lunch. It was very disappoint for brunch to be the only option at 2p. It was not even the best brunch options. I remember last year being able to choose more fish options and not forced into salads, pizza, sandwiches, pasta and 5 versions of pancakes, French toast and omelettes. I miss the superb fish and dinner entrees for a fancy Mother’s Day meal. I was expecting more Mediterranean seafood, but skewing heavily more Italian Mediterranean.

The FOOD WAS DELISH! We got the calamari, meatballs that melted in your mouth, octopus was best I’ve ever had. Bronzino and filet! The service was amazing too! I’ll definitely be going back there!

We have dined at Mare Mediterranean several time. The food is always excellent and the menu has outstanding variety. The service is also very good and Jake, our waiter on this visit was very good. However, the background noise, which some may call music, is awful. The restaurant can often be very noisy and the staff will often recommend that we come early so we will be able to actually have a conversation. Last Friday night the background noise was a very heavy bass noise which never let up and usually if it involves music, there will be an end to one song and then starting another. We never heard a song end. Perhaps this is a way to crate an energetic atmosphere, but for those of us that would like to enjoy conversation with our meal, it is a real negative. We will probably be back because the food is great, but will have to really think about it.
