My husband and daughter selected Marcel to celebrate both Mother's Day and my birthday. The ambiance and food were great overall, service good except for our main server. She either didn't want to be at work or didn't want to serve us. Either way, it did not enchance our experience. Her flat demeanor remained through our sitting. The other staff who came to our table were pleasant and other servers with their guests, which made her gloomy communication damper my festive occasion but we recommend and would return but ask for anyone else. We ordered shrimp scampi, hamburgers, scalloped potatoes, chicken, fries and drinks (alcohol).

This is my favorite restaurant. I always order the same thing. Shrimp scampi and the chicken. I know, yes I order chicken at a steak restaurant. The oysters were very small and dry. No condiments such as horseradish or cocktail sauce came with the dish or were offered. The french onion soup and lobster risotto was overly salty. Even my chicken was a bit salty but I was hungry due to the hour wait for the food. The server was not very personable or attentive. This was my first time having such experience so I won’t hold it against the restaurant. May have been an off night.

Loved it, as usual. Great food, good service. Only thing this is the third time we’ve had to wait 10-15 mins for our table to be ready and we were on time.

always a great evening at Marcel when you get a sit at the bar and drink your favorite cocktails with the best bartenders and Atlanta and eat the best steak in town, but don’t overlook the veal Parmesan might be the best thing on the menu

The music was blaring at 5:30. So loud we could not converse. We (and table next to us) were only tables sat in the back room and asked staff to turn down music. Finally when they could not hear us to take our order they turned it down. Dinner came and they turned music to blaring again. Aged ribeye was excellent/perfect and but the experience was not good at all and we won’t be returning nor will we be recommending.

Excellent customer service. Excellent ambience. Very attentive and provided a beautiful "experience" for our anniversary. Spent 400.00 but was not impressed by the food. Husbands steak was 129.00 and lacked flavor. I ordered a fish plate with Oscar and was not seasoned but the caper sauce helped. Scalloped potatoes needed salt. Shrimp scampi and Caesar salad was tasty. Would recommend for the Experience only.

Dessert was fantastic, very diverse wine and cocktail menu, staff was generally attentive. But lactose-intolerant beware, every side they offer outside of the asparagus is caked in cheese, from their potatoes to their pasta. Steak was good, scallops were great, I just think it’s a bit pricey for the quality and quantity.

Enjoyed a meal with family for my daughter's 30th birthday this past Saturday. The food and service were absolutely outstanding! For a special occasion, Marcel is a go-to without question, but a bit too pricey for day-to-day dining in Atlanta in my opinion. Party of 6 was just under 4 figures and I brought my own wine for the occasion, corkage of which was provided gratis, thank you, much appreciated. With that said, for a hallmark experience, Marcel is exceptional, and our evening lived up to every bit of that expectation. Nick, our primary server, was superbly knowledgeable on food, drink and wine options and super helpful in guiding each of us to a wonderful, personalized culinary experience. Melinda was excellent, too, always attentive and available, adding significantly to the experience. The rest of the serving team did a fantastic job, as well. Absolutely brilliant service from beginning with cocktails in the bar to dessert at the table. All in all, one of my favorite places to dine in Atlanta, and certainly if you are a steak fan. I would highly recommend Marcel, with the caveat that you prepare yourself for a wonderful evening, while not being surprised when the check arrives.

As always, Marcels is amazing! The food was delicious but there was no green vegetable option for the night. The corn was delicious but all other side options were starches. Staff is always amazing!!! Still one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta!!!

The service was great! The food was below average, and they did not have any vegetables to accompany the meal. We most likely will not dine here again. We feel as though it was a waste of our Anniversary dinner.

This was our first time at the restaurant. The food tasted very good but we had a problem when half our table was served their entrees and the others served 6-7 mins later and their food was cold. When pointed out the manager comped our drinks and gave us one free dessert for the table. Probably just an off night.

This was our second time going to Marcel and this time it was terrible, service was bad, food was terrible. Everything was very salty, pasta was overcooked and stake was hard. Horrible please save your money and go somewhere else

Marcel is our favorite place for celebrations. Tonight was Mom’s 83rd bday. Every course has yummy options. Most of our party gets steak. Tonight I had the halibut special, Oscar style. It was one of the best seafood dishes I’ve had in a long time. As always, the Baked Alaska was fabulous. Special thanks to Ché and Ellen for taking such great care of us.

Excellent service and good ambient. Prices are high (but as expected). I was stunted when I saw we were charged $25usd for truffle butter on top of each stake ($75 stake and $25 butter) Specially when the waiter offers it like “do you want to add butter in top?” I am sure it is on the menu but it was also my fault not to ask for the price (never thought the butter was $25). Waiter oversold the menu option, my expectations were higher. Everything was the best in the southeast including desert. I guess everything is relative and food in SE is not that good. Because in Monterrey, Mexico (my hometown) have tastes better sides and desert. Overall, not worth the $200 per person bill (it was not the alcohol, we only drank 2 beers each).

Wow. We went to Marcel for our 1st wedding anniversary, boy did they make it an experience. They key in and pay attention to every detail. The service staff was insanely helpful in navigating us through the menu and their suggestions left us stuffed!! It was so good I cannot wait for an excuse to go back. Literally the best steak I’ve ever had.

Hands down our favorite restaurant in Atlanta. The food, the ambiance, and the service are AMAZING! Last night we brought someone who hadn’t been yet, and it was 5 star all the way! Mark, our server, was phenomenal! We absolutely adored him.

Everything was amazing. Attentive and welcoming service, staff knowledgeable on everything, and the food was immaculate. Chocolate cake was the best cake I’ve ever had! Caesar salad, corn and asparagus were all top tier 😍 steak madame was perfect with corn and asparagus. I’d go back for sure. Date night was great because of it.
