Simon Oren, Dudi Sasson and Chef James Tracey bring midtown Manhattan a glamorous bold American restaurant. A raw bar features every crustacean imaginable, and servers stroll through the dining room brandishing custom gridiron carts preparing items tableside. The menu circles the globe offering Chef Tracey's seasonal cuisine alongside an extensive selection of Prime Dry-Aged Steaks, and Roast Prime Rib of Beef. Amazing Decor! Chef James Tracey himself was in the main dinning room. The kitchen is open and perform a beautiful show.

Food was delicious. We enjoyed the prime rib meal with my husband having a more well done piece and myself having a rare piece. Waiter was attentive and recommendations were delicious! Would highly recommend!

Good Midtown spot for solid food and atmosphere. Most dishes were very great…loved the Hokkaido Scallop, Caesar Salad, and BBQ Prawns. The Tuna Tartare with Uni was fine, but nothing special and high price point for uni that was barely there/noticeable. Service was friendly but seemed inexperienced…there were three people service the table, but only one seemed more experienced/knowledgeable.

Monterey is a very beautiful restaurant with a soft buzz of bar noise and lively music and atmosphere. The food was OK, tuna dish very nice and tasty, lasagna bit bland, the cart presentation of prime rib ($68) good albeit a bit chewy. The fresh baked bread is a must to order. Service appeared to be very good, with a really bright waiter, but probably short staffed as our table seemed to be an afterthought and not very attentive. All in all it was a pleasant special event dinner place.

Due to medical reasons we requested a booth table or balcony seating by calling the day before. We were told the balcony would be closed. It was open. Instead of a booth we were seated beside other diners, instead of a booth. Basically the conversation was ultimately ignored.

Devo dire che eravamo in 13 di cui 5 bambini: siamo stati contenti che ci abbiano accettati con poco preavviso. Il locale è bello, ma lo staff non sembra in sintonia col locale. Ci sono più “capi sala”, quello che ci ha seguito è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Il servizio è stato lento. Il piatto di ostriche servito era super. Il menù è però un po’ limitato con una preferenza per il prime rib. La qualità del cibo è buona. Peccato, con un po’ più di “personalizzazione” adeguato allo stile del locale, il posto sarebbe perfetto

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here! The atmosphere and staff were very warm and inviting. We got the crispy artichokes as an appetizer, the risotto for an entree, and the cloud cake as dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious, we couldn’t stop saying wow. Highly recommend this spot!

We were for the Prime Rib Special ($65 fixed 3 course) and it was very good and honestly good value for a high end New York restaurant. The craft cocktails were excellent. Our waiter was very good. The vibe is upscale but a little funky and fun. We took our college age boys with their girl friends over spring break and they were all very positive on the experience.

Our first time at Monterey and we've been waiting to try this restaurant after we had an amazing meal at Isabelle's Osteria. The ambience at Monterey is beautiful and stunning! We were seated on the first floor near the open kitchen and it was an amazing view to see the chefs working meticulously and beautifully. Our servers were very kind, friendly and cordial. We had Dragos and Hugo. Both gentlemen were very attentive and professional. The menu at Monterey isn't as extensive as we expected so we were able to try as many dishes as we can. We had the onion bread, the ceasar salad, the oysters, frog legs, porterhouse and the truffle lasagna. Everything was cooked to perfection. And for desserts, we had the maple custard and beignets. The coffee was also delicious and our old fashioned was strong and on point. Keep up the amazing work! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

The frog legs and the foie gras were delicious. The garnishing used with the foie gras made the dish interestingly flavorful. Main dish (tenderloin) was good quality accompanied with crunchy broccolini and a great glass of Pinot Noir (Ken Wright). The Cloud Cake was exquisite.

Ordered my fav chopped salad with grilled salmon. The salad portion looked smaller today and the salmon fillet was tiny. The server was nice but was spread very thin and didn’t check in as often as she should have. The almond milk latte was not great today. It’s usually good but not today.

Great place for lunch. Fun and unique atmosphere, while quiet enough to chat over our meal. Wait staff was very attentive. Food was excellent.

Our main dishes were not good. The best food were the salads and drinks. My chicken was chewy and fatty, my wife’s eggplant was undercooked and had no flavor. Would not return for the high prices.

It was a raining night and felt good to be in the beautiful banquette looking out at the warm ambiance of the the restaurant. The service was attentive and accommodating and the food outstanding. The truffle lasagna was different than your typical lasagna- a real winner!
