This restaurant always maintains their excellence in quality. The menu is stellar, staff always friendly and the kitchen knock it out of the park, we love returning here to celebrate our special occasions. It’s popular too, so make sure to book in early as not to be disappointed.

Pleasant surprise to be honest. I cannot actually fault our entire experience. First time dining, the food was perfect, extremely tasty, the service was of great time and our server was super friendly and very tentative. Would absolutely be dining there again. The venue itself is cosy and inviting. We felt veey comfortable, I was there with my hisband and 8 year old for mothers day. Overall fantastic.

First time visit and very happy. Meals were spaced well. Quality and flavours were also very good. Service was extremely good on our Saturday afternoon visit. For 3 people we shared, Kingfish, Tuna, Squid and Pork san choi bow small plates. Also added a caramelised Pork Belly main. Really didn't need the small rice that was ordered. Low lighting and not being overly large gives a nice moody feel to the place. Will return.

Staff very professional! Food was not as usual it was hurried and thoughtless The veg san cho bow was very ordinary like out of a packer The green mixed veges was just a small portion of stems of one green vege Altogether not a great meal as expected

The staff and the food at the Mamasan are spectacular as always. I visited on a weekday and was immediately attended to. The food is flavoursome and filling, though the portion sizes can be slightly small if you have a big appetite. The atmosphere was pretty bustling for a Tuesday, and it was a little hard to hear my partner, but the dim lighting is really nice. Definitely recommend for a fancy night out. Would love to see more vegetarian options!

Ever dish had fantastic flavours. The beef curry was divine. Service by Max was exceptional. A must dinner each time we come to Broadbeach.

The main waiter. I cant remember his name. But joked he wasn’t the “young one “ He was so attentive at night. Refilling out G&Ts and offering advice to others of our party who had never been there before. Everyone was impressed with the dining. The menu. And the jovial waiter. Who really made our evening. Great food and service as usual. We have been regular customers for a few years now. The only disappointment is the change in 2 of our favourite dishes. The sushimi is no where near as favorsome and textural as the previous version. As with the bug dish, it us now served a small battered pieces in a bug shell. Too much natter not enough glorious sauce and taste. Please bring back the original dishes. Thanks Gerard

Very disappointed as used to go here all the time with friends and now they have added in a random service charge when dining we got charged 15 percent and it wasn’t even a public holiday. Cocktails were half empty when served! Will not go back now!

After reading such great reviews, I was looking forward to our dinner. Sadly, the food was over priced and very average. Nothing felt very refined or well balanced. Very disappointing.

Calamari and kfc chicken and pork belly main were very good The bao was very ordinary, gave you the smallest bit of meat on the bun so overpriced

Amazing food, my third visit to mamasan and it was the best one yet. Wagyu bao and soft shell crab bao were so so tasty. Snapper curry, mamasan fried rice and wok fried greens were some of the best food I've ever eaten

Great cocktails , food very average , very sweet sauces , the crab ravioli 4 for $ 40 missed the mark , the tuna tartare was flat, they tried hard , but I wouldn’t rush back .

Wow! What an experience. We were positioned at the counter with a Birds Eye view of the kitchen. We saw all the dishes being prepared and were taken by the attention to detail along with the quality. Our meal was absolutely delicious. Having dined at waterfront restaurants in the area with similar flavours, this restaurant outstripped its rivals.

On a very raining evening in late March my parents and I ventured out on the Gold Coast. Our destination of choice? Mamasan Kitchen & Bar - a GC institute, raved about by friends and people we just happened to meet in passing alike. The warm tones of the decor, comfortable seating and bustling open kitchen presented the ideal spot to forget about the weather and be transported to another world. A world where service came promptly buy unobtrusively; with a smile and helpful guidance through what the Mamasan menu had to offer (thank you to Shane in particular). My taste buds are still dancing from the flavours and textures of every dish we chose. From light share plates like tuna tartare with hints of lemongrass and the most moreish squid ink crackers to a snapper curry with a fresh take on sweet and sour that had my father scraping the last remnants from the serving bowl. We chose an O'Leary Walker Reisling to pair with our dishes that was lemony, flinty and matched the zing and spice of the dishes perfectly. As designated driver for the evening I also tried out one of Mamasan's Mocktails, made exclusively with the Lyre's 0% alcohol spirits range and I highly recommend the Mai Tai if you are looking for something fun and fruity that compliments your meal. As we left our cozy spot in Mamasan for the evening, palates and bellies utterly satisfied, we noticed the rain had finally stopped and some later diners were enjoying their evening out on the covered decking that frames the restaurant. So there you go, Mamasan Kitchen and Bar - the Perfect Spot to Dine; Whatever the Weather!

Service really makes all the difference. Previous experiences here, we were treated as though we were valued customers, this time however we felt as though we were an inconvenience for the waiter. Food still great, but same menu after a year

Sadly we felt our experience was not up to the usual standards we have experienced on many occasions previously. The Service was very average and food not as good. We were overcharged on our account for some items. Disappointing!
