Mallards is serving up award winning seafood & Cajun fare with southern hospitality.

Born and raised in Kansas City Missouri, southern hospitality is on the top of our list. It’s more than tradition. It’s ice cold beer, key lime pie, and a party in our backyard. Our family wanted to turn passion into a reality in 2013, so we came together and opened Mallards. With Dad in charge of the menu all of our favorites started showing up! From Jambalaya to Tennessee Hot Chicken, our story finds itself on each and every plate!

    Great chicken and waffles terrific cheeseburgers. Two people could have the pecan crusted walleye and share it easily. Quick service, and reasonable prices.

    We recently went to Mallards for a late late lunch. The Shrimp Poor Boys were a great choice. Since it was also Happy Hour, the tap beers were half price.

    We’ve been here a few times now, and it has been very good every time. From the wait staff, food, & service. This has become one of our favorite places to come to.

    Let me first say, that it was a busy day and that I love the food. My companion ordered a hamburger, but when it came, it was rare, instead of the well done she asked for. It took about 10-15 minutes to catch the waitress's attention. (The waitress was very busy.) She immediately apologized and later came back with a well done burger. But by then the rest of us were done with our meals. I've been to Mallard's many times and this was the first time I really had an issue. I'm thinking it was just a fluke.

    Wonderful Mothers Day Brunch. Had the Chicken and Waffles, was so good. Next time I will order without the hot sauce so I can taste the syrup and thyme. Husband had the jambalaya and will definitely get that again. Thank you for the great service and wonderful food.

    All good, didn’t like that they got rid of the salmon they had on their old menu (why we went) but current was good also

    Varied menu and food is very well prepared and tasty. Service is good as well. On the other hand, we were an older group in for lunch and the music was very loud. Why play music so loud (or at all) at noon on a Friday? It might have been more tolerable if the song choices were relevant to the older lunch crowd, but the modern pop music selections and bad acoustics (high ceilings) made things worse. We asked for the music to be turned down.... Or preferably off. Having a conversation across the table was very challenging. Music was finally turned down towards the end of our visit.
