This is NOT a review of Malbec Kitchen. It is a review of Open Table. We booked this restaurant (which we love) for 7:30 on Thanksgiving, only to find when we arrived that it was closed. This is outrageous. We were stuck driving around trying to find a place that would take us. Fortunately Mi Piace was able to accommodate us. It would be nice if, in the future, you took the trouble to ask venues in advance if they are planning to close for holidays. Grrrrrrrr

My family & I had the most disappointing Thanksgiving Day meal due to the fact that I was NOT INFORMED that Malbec Restaurant is CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day! Thanks for NOTHING!

New menu changes ok… we love the place, but the marinara on the ravioli was perfect already. The saffron leek sauce did not have the same pop of flavor, The choices of wines have gone up but fewer choices for a glass is a bummer. So glad the pulpo is unchanged!

1st time at this Malbec in Eagle Rock and loved it. Not overpacked on the night we were there so minimal noise. Great tasting food and very good service lead by Loran (spelling??) as he was froendly and attentive. Looking forward to my next visit!

Our server, Lauren, was fantastic. He helped us chose entrees and wine, and also took time to just chat for a minute or two about things. The food was outstanding, can't wait to go back. Only downside is the prices are on the high end for this neighborhood.

Dinner was great! We ordered the Parrillada, and it was cook to perfection. Our server and the help were great. I usually get names, so I can do a shout out, sorry. I will be back. We sat outdoors, and the table were a little rocky but fixable.

Our go to spot in the neighborhood for a nice meal and a place to hang out. The to go pints of red sauce is a great bonus! Try the Hongos!

The food here is amazing. Not just the meats, but the veggies too! Mothers' Day here was very busy (glad we had reservations.) But the service was great, the food came out quicker than we expected - and was as delicious as always!

Enjoyed our lunch on Sunday. Food was delicious. Waitress was very attentive, but was getting somewhat overwhelmed towards the end of our meal when the restaurant started getting busier. Otherwise, an enjoyable meal.

DineLA started and I wanted to try this restaurant out, since I had tried their Pasadena location. This Argentinian restaurant serves up the best in meats and fish, so we stained on this course. The lamb and fish were so tasty!

Indoor seating was nice. Exterior seating is not ideal as street could be busy. Great and friendly service. The empanadas and steak were good. The pasta del mar has good amount of seafood but not a wow. More like a typical American pasta. No private parking lot. Street parking is not difficult to find either.

Ever single item we tasted was delicious. Stated with pulpo and chorizo appetizer. The veal sweetbreads were the best we’ve ever tasted. All flavors blended beautifully. Sorrentinos was perfect. And the papardelle was great. Will make this a regular place and will get a lot of friends to go. This is a neighborhood treasure. Service was impeccable.

We visited the restaurant on Valentine's Day. The seating arrangement was tight due to number of patrons on this special day. However, the food and service were great so we weren't too concerned about the close proximity of tables. We will visit again at a less crowded day in the future.

I made reservation beforehand. When we arrived no table was available so waiter immediately seated us at the bar and offered us drinks on the house. Since we opted for a bottle, she converted the drinks to dessert on the house. Service was great throughout. Food is phenomenal, especially the empanadas and the paella. The music choice was a little odd, but otherwise all was perfect. This place is officially my new favorite in Pasadena. Just don’t change anything!

This was our fourth recent meal here. The space is meh, but the food is consistently excellent—from a varied and interesting menu—and the service is spot on. We will keep returning. Good for parents with little ones seeking something for everyone.

I'm a fan of the new incarnation of Malbec market. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is friendly and accommodating. It provides a reasonable value and is a gem in the neighborhood. Although on the surface the prices may seem higher that you would entertain for a casual dinner out, the portions are generous. My girlfriend and I have gone several times now, and we tend to share an entree and a salad. The Ruffalo salad is our favorite, although I can't say we've moved beyond it - it's so good! We've tried a beef dish, a pasta dish and the pizza and they were all excellent. Last time out we even had leftovers of the beef dish to bring home, even after sharing. One note...don't overlook the pizza's....so good, and very reasonable on generously topped with the goods!

Malbec Market menu has a wide variety of dishes on their menu that are all excellent. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is nice - with both indoor and outdoor seating options. It's a really nice place for a good meal in Eagle Rock.

Food was wonderful to just OK. A member of our party of four greatly enjoyed the sweetbreads. Ravioli was delicious. Salads were very good. Empanadas very good. Two of us ordered the mixed seafood with pasta and were very disappointed that all the seafood was overcooked, tough and rubbery. Dining room was much too noisy to carry on a conversation without shouting.
